Description of Work: replaced 16 windows triple pane preservation windows. I filled out a form given to me by Paramount Builders for Angie's list. I wasn't happy with the salesman who used pushy tactics and wasn't honest. He misled me to think I was getting all my windows plus a patio door for the price he quoted me. He really was only going to replace 7 windows and a patio door, when I realized the discrepancy, I called the Company and they put me in touch with his manager. His manager came out and rewrote the contract to replace all 16 windows minus the door for the price quoted by the salesman. Windows are nice, but too expensive. I wouldn't do business with this company again because of their high pressure tactics and misleading information.

Description of Work: In 2013 I had them put up new gutters. In January of 2014 they put on a new roof. I had had an issue with the gutters in one spot after they were put up and they promptly came out and fixed the problem. After the roof was put on, they had to come out and fix the same issue again with the gutters. Now, I have the same issue again and they want to charge me $150 just to come out and look at it. The gutters were not cheap and since they have already had to fix the same problem twice, I am sorry, but don't feel like I should have to pay again for the same problem to be fixed. Other than that one issue, their work has been done on time, and in one instance, the worker went above and beyond to help me when an issue arose while he was installing my glass patio door. They have done some of my windows, patio door, roof, and gutters. With all this done, I would think they could fix a recurring problem without me incurring more expense. I may be wrong, just my opinion.

Description of Work: We had siding installed a little over a year ago. In May the siding on one stde of the house failed was falling off our home. After many phonecalls and emails they promised to inspect our home to make sure the work was done properly. That was a month ago still no contact back from this company. We hired another contractor to fix the side of our home as we could no longer wait on Paramount because the city was giving us notice of a code vilolation. Long story short other contractor replaced damaged siding and installed properly. Paramount had not installed the proper amount of nails which caused the failure. The siding it self is top notch the quality of the workmanship is NOT.

Description of Work: They quoted a way out of line price for replacing our roof ($24,000). We got quotes from other providers and had Stublen Roofing do the job for $7250. Paramount was very pushy saying the price was only good for that day although they tried to make another slightly less expensive offer by sending out their manager. He said they would do the job for the "lower " price just to get their sign in the yard-but, once again, the offer was only good for that one day. Our experience with Stublen Roofing was entirely different-they were in line with other quotes, their president struck me as being very honest, and they did the work in an efficient manner.

Description of Work: They go door to door to set up appointments for a salesman to come and give an estimate. I had someone give me an estimate for windows. The price was extremely high. The salesman stayed at my home for hours, trying to convince me to sign a contract. He was extremely rude and insulting. They called for a long time afterward to set up an appointment! They are pests.

Description of Work: The initial work was done well. However, there were areas that needed adjustments. We had to call them back a few times. About six months after the work was completed, we needed further repairs made. It was Almost three months before we received a callback for our request. The repairs were finally completed and looked nice.

Description of Work: They came knocking on my door. I don't usually even entertain solicitations to provide me service for anything. I prefer to take the don't call me, I'll call you approach. But this time, for some reason I can't explain, I not only entertained the solicitation, I made an appointment for a sales presentation and quote. The guy was in my house for four hours! He brought politics in to the presentation. Through conversation he determined that he and I were of the same political ideals and made statements like, "...if you were an Obama supporter I would charge you more. Because I can do that, you see? If I like you I can cut you a deal." Very unprofessional, to say the least. He later stated that Paramount Builders is a Christian company and "...we make no apology for that and don't give a d*** what people think." Also very unprofessional and not an accurate representation of what a Christian company is or should be. He made other similar comments, but these are just a couple to give you an idea who your dealing with. The work they were looking to do was to install a new roof and make some repairs to the trim and gutters. They way he described the work and products being used actually sounded good. But his off handed comments really turned me off from this company. I later spoke to a couple other company representatives that seemed much more professional. Maybe their company does good work, I can't say. Their end product could possibly be the best you'll ever find, but if this is the way they present their company to the customer, they won't get far with me.

Description of Work: A very nice young man who was canvassing for Paramount came to our neighborhood in December. I was interested in one of the services he offered and agreed to have someone call me after the holidays. When they called to schedule an appointment I was told my husband had to be in attendance or they would not schedule. I eplained that my husband is an invalid and would not be able to attend the meeting. They were not willing to make an exception.
