The owner of Painting by Michael, Michael Sanchez and his crew, did a phenomenal job washing and painting parts of my house. I obtained several quotes for the job and they were commensurate with the others. Mr Sanchez informed me what would be done and when. They arrived early each day, cleaned any and all remains of debris, did an inspection with the painters to catch any loose ends and a final inspection with me to ensure that I was satisfied with the finished product. Let it be known that I’m very pleased. The house is picture perfect! No need to recommend to my neighbors because this is how my wife discovered them, painting numerous houses in the neighborhood. Everyone I spoke to was quite pleased. My compliments to Mr Sanchez and his entire crew on a job well done. From the fantastic and very helpful Mrs Sanchez in the office to each courteous painter laboring in the brutal heat for two days…professionals all. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and work ethic that Michael and team exhibited for the work at my home. They also provided a beautiful power wash of my homes exterior. They did a great job, were on time, reasonable price, and we were very happy. They found damage we didn't know we had, and they just fixed it. We would recommend them.

Michael and his crew were excellent. He gave us a professional proposal and followed it to the t. He replied to messages and was clean and very professional - working neat and clean and not leaving any messes mid-job. He did exactly what he said he would and even fixed areas he did not have to - did a special application of paint flakes on the cement garage floor and used a 'Armour seal heavy duty floor epoxy coating' which looks EXCELLENT! I will definitely hire him again to do some indoor work.

In January we got bids from several Angie's List contractors to paint our railings and posts. Michael was the low bidder, and we gave him the job. He told us that he had three jobs ahead of us, and after that he would be over whenever the temperature got above 50 degrees. By March we had not heard from him, so I called and reminded him of his commitment to us (March was a warm month this year). He showed up the next Sunday with one helper, but the wind was blowing about 30mph and he said it wasn't safe on the ladders. He said he would be back on the next warm, sunny day if the wind wasn't blowing too hard. Another month went by and I contacted him again. He said he would check his schedule and get back to me. I never heard from him again. In late May I updated my bids and selected another contractor who was able to get to us by mid-June for about the same price. I'm disappointed that an Angie's List contractor who was highly rated was so unprofessional.

Both jobs exceeded our expectations. Prompt, hard working, and great communication - Michael and his crew are true professionals! Will not hesitate to use them again.

.Michael himself besides being quite friendly & professional, did an absolutely fantastic job - cleaning, preparing, and painting the complete house, which included: trim, windows, and siding at a very reasonable price. He beat all my other estimates. And he was prompt and meticulous. I would gladly use him again, and highly recommend him.

I had used Michael before. For this job he and his team arrived on time . A very friendly and polte team. They did there job in a timely manner. When they finished, waiting for the paint to dry over night. Michael came back the next day to do any touch ups that I had found. Great job Michael and team. I will use them again. Fair pricing.

I found Micheal, from Painting by Micheal in 2008 when we purchased our first home which was new construction. The builder would not paint custom colors, only white, so that is why I needed a painter. I obtained quotes from 3 companies to paint our entire home and Painting by Micheal won the bid. I was extremely pleased with the entire experience! I am super picky about making sure the edges are STRAIGHT, especially where the color of the walls meet the ceilings and Micheal and his team did an outstanding job! He was on time, punctual, friendly, professional and MOST IMPORTANTLY his work was EXCELLENT. Fast forward 6 years later, my husband and I wanted some areas touched/freshened up and a color change in a bedroom. My first thought was let's hire Michael again! Our first experience was so good the first time that I kept his information in my cell phone for six years and when it was time for a painter again, I immediately called Micheal!

No ones fault entirely. We made contact but he was so busy that he couldn't get out to look at the job and it just got dropped, I"m guessing? he seemed very nice on the phone but just never followed through.

They were nice, friendly, and did good work. I trusted they would before they did. They were very professional, they were polite, they cleaned up and did good work. They were responsive.

Great job. Michael gave a fair price and had good quality work. I would use them again. Also power washed the house. Removed vines from house and removed a hornet nest!!

?Painting by Michael? recently did a fantastic job painting my beach condo. Michael provided a reasonable quote and ultimately a very accurate estimate for the work that I wanted done. On the scheduled day of painting Michael and his crew showed up on time, and actually finished 3 hours prior to when he originally told me they would be done. The paint job was excellent. Fall 2013, we decided that we needed our two story house pressure washed and the trim painted to include very high gables with shaker trim. After researching through several sources, we selected six companies to request estimates. We interviewed and received proposals from all six. Our selection was easy. Painting by Michael stood out above all others. During the interview Michael covered every detail of the job, paint products, washing specific areas that required added attention and a price that couldn't be beat. He brought a highly trained staff that surpassed all expectations. Each day before departing, Michael and I would QC the day's work and then before he would accept final payment we had one last QC of the total project. He was way more <unknown> than we expected. We researched him out. He is also an interior decorator and he picked out different colors and it looks 100% better. He was done in 2 days.

The crew was really fast. On the first warm day of the season, he and his crew cam out and got half of the project done, and completely finished the following day. Michael helped me choose the best color to paint my doors so that everything looked cohesive.

Michael's crew did an excellent job painting the wood trim around the house. It's been a while and it is still in great condition.

Michael had painted My son's home about a year ago and had done an wonderful job at a wonderful price. So when my husband and I decided to move to Virginia Beach and bought a home that needed to be be repainted we knew just who to call. It was so nice to know that we had a painter we could trust, because we were not living in Virginia Beach and had to just leave the house keys with Micheal and his crew. But I knew that our new home was in good hands. Micheal is a chrisitan man and so are his workers. They are such good painters that they do not require a drop cloth. They go around and clean up before they leave your home and they are the best painters you will ever hire. They will also give you the best price too for the quality that you are getting. My home required oil based paint on the trim and that is very hard to work with/ they did such a good job. The house look brand new. Michael also can give you very good advice on what color to paint if you need it. He has a very good eye for paint selection. Before you sign with another painter.... do yourself a favor and just give Michael a call. You will never regret it. I don't understand the other reviews???? He is by far the best painter and person I have ever met.

sloppy! Didnt bother removing electrical sockets or window treatments (even though he said he would). missed some of the trim, paint all over the floor and splattered in the wall behind the couch. Now I have to go back and fix the spots because now parts of the wall have my old color paint still showing especially around the window treatments. I guess u do pay for what you get:(

He showed us several paint options (to similar properties) on his iPad that would "update" the look of the inside of our place. When I say several - I mean several looks at several prices - allowing us to be just as fancy or just as simple as we wanted the paint job to be. We are very pleased with the overall look of the place. PS - while we did the estimate his friend fixed a broken window :-)

When we contacted Michael we were working with a very strict time frame. The deck was just ready to get coated, but we were leaving for vacation after a few days and, if we would have waited any longer the wood might have started to fade. Michael and one other employee came out on a Sunday to get the job done and it wasn't any regular Sunday, it was 110 degrees outside. They worked professionally and did an outstanding job. The top of the pergola is made of a series of 2x2 beams. They had to climb on top of it, lay a piece of flat wood and kneel on it the all time. They didn't miss a single spot. What a great contractor!

He came out and did an estimate, talked colors with me and showed me good options but made sure final decision was one I wanted. He and his crew came out and did the work with great attitudes and very friendly. They made me smile listening to them work and banter, all very polite. Then Mike had to come back next day to finish one item (patch had to dry before paint) and told me to walk the house between visits to make sure nothing was missed/not what I wanted. When he came back, he or the other gentleman with him fixed the 2 items I found quickly and without argument, as well as finishing out paint over patch. Great job, will definitely recommend/use again.

You don't have a rating high enough for me to give them they are awesome. They were professional and punctual. They knew we needed to rent our house so they even worked on Sunday. They did such a good job I gave them more money than they asked.
