I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I called Rick in the morning and described the problem. He met me at the house later that morning and inspected the bedroom ceiling and the roof. He described what needed to be done, gave me a quote for the work and we agreed on the price. Rick left to get any materials needed and returned to the house less than an hour later. The work that he did included caulking the top of outside corners and back side of the chimney. He installed roof cement in the valley behind the chimney and under loose shingles in the surrounding area. He caulked around the corner where the chimney meet the roof with silicone. In the upstairs bedroom he scraped away the area damaged by the roof leak, put in ceiling mud and finished a 1 ft. x 2 ft. area with a sand texture to match the rest of the ceiling. He was very professional and a pleasure to do business with. I really appreciate that he was able to do the work quickly. He has been doing this type of work for a long time and clearly knows what he's doing. I would highly recommend him.

He replaced some parts on the gate. He fixed several parts of my backyard fence. He also fixed the door to my bathroom that was dragging on the tile by aligning everything. Everything went well and I am satisfied and would use him again if he is available.

I researched handymen and found Rick Ord, giving him a call to come present a proposal. He arrived early As I was walking him through the house with a check off list there were things he did not include on his list because he stopped and took care of several repairs and did not charge me. I had not even hired him yet but he showed me his ability and the quality of his work. His estimate was fair and we signed the initiating contract for him to begin. I had my list of things to purchase and he had his. He showed up early the next morning, ready to go. He showed us the items "he" had purchased, awaiting our approval. Rick has great sense of taste and style. Nothing cheap and cheesey looking. He had a plan and was moving along so fast I was amazed. He made recommendations and they were right on the money. He repaired my shoddy back porch, filled drywall holes missed by the previous workers from another company, beautifully installed a ceiling fan, installed motion lighting around the house that was complementary to our existing outdoor lighting. Installed cabinetry, headboards, mirrors and framed some areas that were needing attention. The little garage door that was so displaced I couldn't lock it was taken care of and works great. I don't have to kick the door open like before. I would recommend Rick in a heart beat. In the future there will be more home projects that I will hire him for. He is personable, very professional and has an enormous knowledge base. Bottom line is ....He knows what he is doing and it is done right the FIRST time.
