Excellent. They always take care of my HVAC needs. From the time you call Mary to the end of service call you always feel well taken care of. The assess the problem, go right to work on it and are fair, and honest. I have been very pleased and have recommended many friends to them. As always, they were very responsive, punctual and professional. They are what all service providers should strive to be. We have used this provider for several years and have never been disappointed.

Newbern Mech installed two new Trane HVAC systems in my home Oct 13. I have had them return to adjustments three times since install. Total cost for both systems was about $22,000. I got a total of four quotes and I selected Newbern based on detail of proposal, professional presentation, and recommendation from a friend who had used Newbern for their home install. Newbern Mech is an absolutely outstanding company...from A to Z. Their staff is professional and polite...and skilled/knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to use them again.

They are good. It's a small company and I like that.

The owner of the company (JR) was extremely helpful in getting our situation resolved. He recommended the right plumbing service for the job, we contacted the plumbing company and the work was done exceptionally well (both groups were rather surprised at how the builder had routed the piping from the W/H). We have started a biannual service with New Bern Mechanical. Small company, good service. By the by, a few years ago New Bern helped us recover from a very bad experience we had with another HVAC company. They really provided good advice, pointed us to the right folks (we had a mildew issue), and led the way in getting our system squared away. You tend to remember something like that.

JR's an excellent small business. Very attentive and provides better estimates than the larger companies. He has "Andy," who's superb at ducting work in an older house. Also, his piping crew remedied unique older house issues without any commotion. Good guys working on this team. If you want Rinnai gas boiler or water heater, he has the pictures. In addition to replacing an old oil boiler that was falling apart, and removing a water heater that was starting to corrode substantially, the installation opened up considerable space in a small garage. JR has the photos. I had several other estimates, with none being as close, especially when considering product quality and requested gas piping work.

I have used Newbern several times in the past. They came out promptly and worked in extreme heat in our attic to get our system up and cooling. I would say that J. R. is one of the best technicians in the area. If you have a concern, the office staff is helpful and friendly.

They are very efficient and neat. They always clean up after themselves. In the 20 years I have only needed one or two repairs and they fixed them right away. The office staff is very nice and the price they charge is reasonable. The technicians who come out are always very polite and do a good job. I plan on using them again in the future.

I've been using them for about 25 or 30 years. They do excellent work. They've been wonderful. The owner, Kathy Newbern is excellent and I've never had any issues. My son has used them and my parents have used them. They are on time. They are good and reliable. I would continue to use them in the future.

Overall, the experience was good. As with any situations where you're installing a new system into an old (1939) home, there will be unavoidable imperfections/compromises. Still, JR's team was willing to work with me on register and return placement. As far as I can tell, there are no air leaks in the system, and each register boot was sealed with silicone (which I thought was nice). Also, each supply run has a damper, so airflow adjustments can be easily made. My family has been very pleased with JR's work in the past, and I'm glad to say that I'm very pleased with JRs work on my home as well.

They have been cooperative overall. The company changed their schedule because I had surgery and couldn't make the original appointment. The gentlemen took off his shoe's so he wouldn't track anything in the house.

I find their service to be excellent. I’ve been with them for 3 years and have had no problems. The price listed is for a yearly contract.
