She helped us design and decorate our dining room and living room. We wanted to make our house a better fit for us. She guided us through the process. When a couch we picked because it was a shade of green in the store was delivered and looked more khaki in our house, she was able to show us how to use other elements in the room to make the green tones more obvious. She provided the names of contractors to widen an archway and make a built-in for our dining room. She sifted through fabric samples and paint chips. She would meet us at stores to help us make the decisions on lighting, rugs and furniture.The result is a room that reflects our taste but is done to a level of excellence that we would never have been able to achieve on our own. We had an excellent experience working with her. She understand our vision and our budget. She was very hepful fromthe first phone call, to the several in home meetings with her and contractors. She always had honest, practical advice. She helped us work out details we may not have considered with the project. She has been instrumental in the process. We cannot thank her enough. Nancy Templeman assisted me to re-arrange the furniture in my great room, to be more useful to my life style, and to show off the great room to emphasize its full architectural design. There is a tall 30 foot ceiling in the room. Nancy assisted me to place the taller pieces of furniture on the taller walls to create more drama in the room, and to emphasize the lines in the unique architecture of the great room. She also suggested buying a few new colorful throw pillows to distract the eye away from the discolored 30 year old couches. She placed the exisiting swivel chairs near the two 8 foot sliding glass doors so that they could be swiveled to see the back deck and forested view. When she was finished the room felt so much cozier and utilitarian. She also assisted me to figure out a plan to get rid of the clutter in my dining room,office and loft. She helped me find a way to store things that go together near each other in a useful chrome bookcase that sits on top of my desk with a set of 18 - see thru drawer units in my office. This inexpensive system that she designed has asisted me to greatly reduce the clutter and has assisted me to find things easier. The last project she helped me with was decluttering my massage studio. I had too many pictures hanging on the walls and the room did not feel as relaxing as I would like it to be. Nancy assisted me to re-hang the pictures, and to place all of my massage anatomy charts on the less dominat wall. Many of my massage clients have made comments to me that my massage studio is soooo much more relaxing and soothing. I have been pleased with Nancy Templeman's expertise and knowledge of color and design. I found her fees to be reasonable. She charged me $ 75 an hour, and her ideas have been inexpensive to implement. I would recommend Nancy Templeman to anyone that is on a tight budget.
