First installment was done wrong and unit did not function correctly, so a 2nd tech came out and explained that he did it correctly and unit worked. 2.5 yrs later unit began working intermittently, so we called another contractor who found several things done wrong and redid installation to make the corrections. When I called to complain about what they did wrong and asked for payment of the costs to fix their errors, all i got was excuses and no remuneration. I was told that the units needed annual inspections, which was not advised during the install. I was then told we would have appreciated an opportunity to come out and fix the problems, with 2 strikes already, I am not comfortable having them come back. At the least they should have offered to come out next year and perform the maintenance they should have advised to begin with.

It was wonderful, top notched. The technicians were very respectable, knowledgeable, neat, and explained everything that was going on.

Ultimately, the service was done to our satisfaction but I am unsure if they are going to try and bill me again. I would be very leery to trust this company.
Description of Work: We were selling a property in Ghent and had hired this company to service and clean the furnace as part of our obligation to the buyer. Although I scheduled the service with the office, I did speak directly to the technician who outright lied to me by stating that he did the service and cleaning. I twice confirmed that we needed both the system to be cleaned and serviced. Mr. Comfort was paid but when we went to close and the buyer did the walk through, it was obvious that Mr. Comfort's technician did not do what we paid to have done. But more disturbing, I explicated confirmed with their office and the technician twice that he was cleaning and servicing the system. He blatantly lied to me on the phone. I suspect he knew he house was vacant and being sold and thus thought he could get away with it. The office staff is very professional and I hope this is just a situation of a lazy employee. Nevertheless, it almost delayed our closing and created very unnecessary stress. They did send a different technician to do the job so the house could close but I am curious to see if they try to send me another bill or try to bill my credit card.

The customer contracted us to perform a service and cleaning on a 30 yr old system because they were trying to sell the house. The cleaning and service were performed and the unit was operating when we left. We then received a call 3 weeks later while they were doing the walk through that the heat was not working. When the technician arrived he found that the thermo couple had gone bad and needed to be replaced. He told the person that was there(not the homeowner) that the rust(30 yr old system) needed to be cleaned off the pilot assembly and the part replaced. Somehow it was relayed to the homeowner that the unit needed to be cleaned which was not true. I then spoke to the homeowners husband on 3/10 and explained everything to him and he seemed fine with it. We have been in business since 1970 and you don't stay in business that long by doing things like this. This review is so far off base and should be removed because there is no truth to it.

My experience with them was terrible. He gave me the verbal part, but I never got a written estimate of all the repairs that needed to be done. Most of the things that we purchase we receive a call from the service provider and they never called. I called them and scheduled the appointment. As far as the office personnel though, they were sort of nonchalant. The inspector did go through the house and he told me that some of the things he would have to get the price from the manager for it and that they would send me a complete estimate. Basically at the end of the service call, he told me that it might take a while before they could give that to me and I never heard from them again. I called them twice after that and both times, I got the same knock-knock attitude in the office saying that someone will get back to me and they never did.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for Mr. Comfort Heating and Cooling. It was $79 heating and cooling service call. It was basically for an evaluation.

Description of Work: I've been using Mr. comfort for years. when I needed a new heat pump, I did check around and their prices were comparable with others. Knowing most of their technicians and being familiar with their wonderful service and follow up, I stuck with Mr.Comfort. I did have to call them back to make some adjustments to the placement of the unit, but they were very responsive and took care of my concerns right away. I always take their annual service package and the gal in the office is GREAT about reminding ME I'm due for service!

Technician was a professional and answered all my question. He and I were both Navy vets so we had some things in common. I never felt like he was snow balling me or just trying to sell me something.
Description of Work: Technician did inspection of the system inside and out. He corrected any problems. He replaced a blown capacitor, cleaned outdoor unit, and filled with freon. He made his recommendation for replacement because the unit was over 10 years old.

They do a good job. They do what they say they are going to do. The thing is still running, so I guess it works. We call, and they come. Their prices are right in there with the rest of them.
