I had a fairly small job. Had an upstairs shower that was leaking into my downstairs laundry. The leak was cause by poor rubber pan that was previously installed by a different contractor. I was working with my insurance company to cover the water damage as well but did not know the extent of the damage. Miller Construction came out and look through a pot light in the downstairs laundry to try and determine the cause of the leak. It was quickly rule out as a plumping problem and we proceed to inspect the tile in our master bath shower and found numerous cracks throughout the grout in the tile in the shower. He recommend we remove the bottom 2 rows of tiles and the floor to determine the cause. They carefully removed the shower glass and began the demo. Plastic covers were placed over the door entries to try and minimize dust throughout the house. Additonally, they covered the carpet with plastic to prevent footprints in the carpet from dirty shoes. At the end of each day, they swept up and cleaned up their work area and asked if they could store some equipment in our garage. They would have been fine with taking it out everyday but it did not take up much room. After the demo, we needed pictures and had to wait on the insurance company to assess the damage. Miller construction provided a detailed estimate of the repair cost and the cost to date for the demo. When the insurance required more information, Miller Construction provided the additional detail. After approval, Miller construction replaced all the damaged wood and installed the new ditra system for the shower just like on Mike Holms' show on the lower part of the shower and shower floor. There was no need to replace any additional tiles. The installer took extra care to ensure the tiles aligned with the old tiles and the floor looked great. The floor is made out of slate which is very difficult to keep from fracturing during cutting and installation. New grout was installed and everything cleaned up nicely. It has been a year since we had the repairs done and you cannot tell there ever was a repair. Additionally, there are NO cracks anywhere around the shower base or between walls. Miller's construction was very accommodating and continued to work with us for several weeks after completion to get all the insurance claim paperwork inorder.
Description of Work: Diagnose and repair waterleaking from upstairs bath into downstairs laundry room. Required shower floor and bottom rows of tiles being demo'd and replaced with new tiles. Additionally, the shower bench had to be removed and reinstalled from scratch and retiled as well. Do call him early, they are very busy and always working, so it may take sometime to get on their schedule. We had a small job and they worked us in, so your start date maybe a little longer than you want to wait for but I would definitely wait. This is the third time we have had them do work for us and we have always been very pleased with their manners, quality of work, and when they start a job they stay on it until it is finished.

This is a company that we had hired through Home Depot, after working with an advisor on the design of a complete kitchen makeover. Paul came to our home to make the initial measurements, then several of his employees conducted the inspection of the cabinets when they arrived, and carried out the installation and remodeling work. It was an extensive three week process during which the young gentlemen carrying out the work were courteous, friendly, and careful. They conducted themselves in a professional manner at all times, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each workday. I am very happy with the work they did, and would not hesitate to employ this company again for any other remodeling job I may have in the future.
Description of Work: Removal of old, and installation of new kitchen cabinets; removal of fluorescent lighting and installation of recessed lighting; installation of tile on backsplash behind countertop
