McKown Pressure Wash & Painting

They were very prompt. I took them around the home and showed them problem areas, which were all addressed. They took me through each step they would be performing. I did inquire with the office if the chemicals they were to use would be safe to plants and I was told yes. None of my plants/flowers were damaged but an entire side of a Japanese Maple completely lost all of its leaves due to the chemical. They were very detailed and even power washed a rear sidewalk, a small rubbermaid shed and a small front walkway. Overall, I will use this company again but possibly request no chemicals the next time since my house is positioned to not needing cleaning more than once every two years.

As soon as we called we were able to get an appointment. They came out and cleaned both our house and deck. Our siding and deck looked great after the power washing was completed. I would use them again.

Getting the company to come out when I wanted was like pulling teeth, and when they finally did come they only did they only did one side of the house. It took 3 different phone calls to get them to do the rest of the house.I will not be using this company again.

The company responded very quickly and we had an estimate and the job completed in less than 2 weeks. It had been many years since the house was painted/washed and it's amazing how great it looks. Thanks!!!

I am a repeat customer. This is truly an exceptional company. End result has always been sparkling (like new) siding. This is the first time I also used them to clean my decks. Same result ... absolutely beautiful !!!. The technician (Dan) who was assigned to my job is exceptionally consientious, highly experienced and respectful of flower beds and property, Couldn't have been better from start to finish!

I was not at home when the work was done

McKown discussed my options with me and estimates for the work. They don't ask for money down and don't take payment until you are satisfied with their work. I originally included my boat pad, shutters and gutters in the original estimate but decided not to do them at this time. Bob McKown and Freda Ashley were both professional and very patient with me. Their technician came back to re-do the part I wasn't totally satisfied with. My only real disappointment was when he finished the work on 25 October, he dumped the sealant on my front lawn next to the sidewalk on both sides of my driveway. It turned my grass brown; hopefully it greens back up next spring. Why he didn't properly dispose of it is inexcusable. I recommend McKown Pressure Wash & Painting and will use them again in the future.

I paid for the service using Angie and I had to contact McKown for arranging time. They arrived on time and completed the work quickly (maybe too quickly). Solid service.

He pressure washed the whole house and trailer, got rid of spider webs and that kind of stuff. Great job!

Services advertized that I purhcased was for 2 story house wash. I have siding over brick first story. Worker arrived on time and set to work. Only part of house that was washed was 2nd story (siding only) and all this was performed from teh ground level. There was no evidence of washing activity on the first story brick exterior. Worker did not mention anything related to siding only, just went about his task. Do not feel I got my money's worth from tehis service and HIGHLY recommend specific clarifications with with the service provider prior to job start. As no such questions were asked of my by the providing company in scheduling the service, nor by the worker who performed the service, my overall rating of this service provider can only be FAIR at best.

Excellent Job. Only took about 15 minutes from start to finish. Everything was cleaned, from the siding to all the trims.

Overall it was a great experience. I had read several of the reviews on Angie's list and one caught my attention regarding the use of a subcontractor. When I arranged the work with McKown, I specifically asked if they would be sending a company employee and not a subcontractor. I was told they only used company employees that worked directly for McKown. When the pressure washer arrived, he was in an old pick-up truck that was obvioiusly not a McKown company truck, and as we talked he confirmed he was a subcontractor. I felt somewhat misled. However, Jimmy (the subcontractor) did an ooutstanding job, was very professional, polite, and helpful. I was not satisified with how the windows turned out. He tried an alternative solution, and when that did not work, he pulled out his ladder and did them all by hand. I would definitely use McKown again, and would ask for Jimmy....

The company did a good job and i didn't have to be there while the work was being perform.

Excellent, The worker came by while I was gone and power wash my house and when I got home he did a thorough inspection with me to ensure his work met my satisfaction.

Great service. When I called I was told about the deal they currently had running, so that saved me money! Scheduling was easy and the service was done promptly. Definitely would recommend again.

One week after our assessment, I followed up with a voicemail message, asking for our estimate. Another week passed with no response, so I called again and spoke with someone who immediately knew who I was and that I was waiting for an estimate. Two weeks later, after receiving no word from McKown, I left another voicemail message. Since then, I've been calling weekly, with my last message being September 13 (this time, I contacted the corporate office as well). The job was finally executed six weeks later. Mr. McKown advised me that although he understands that his company was at fault, he would never do work for us again because he took a loss by offering us a discount (this wasn't explained until today, April 18, 2013, by his office administrator, Freda). This is extremely poor business practice, and it's beyond reasonable comprehension. UPDATE: On April 19, 2013, McKown Pressure Wash & Paint responded to my review with two absolute lies. Apparently, the person they outsourced to complete the original work was not truthful to McKown about the work he actually completed. He did NOT perform all of the work that McKown thought was to be estimated (due to their miscommunication), so all work was NOT carried out. When the painter began to continue painting more area than we agreed upon, I stopped him within 5 minutes. He apparently informed McKown that he performed more work than he actually did. Another lie is that I gave them a poor rating and then asked them to do more work. When I was inquiring about another project, I had not yet submitted any rating whatsoever. I only submitted a poor review after they treated us so badly upon our request for additional work. The "Report Date" is reflective of the "Approximate Date of Service (or Last Contact), not the date I actually filed the report. I submitted my review on April 18, 2013.

They were very helpful. They came out very quickly after I called them. They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. This is a low pressure, heated wash which is for good reducing damage to your home from other ways of doing a pressure wash.
