Master Painters

Outstanding work. They came when they said they would and the job was professional in all respects. The person who replaced the rotted wood was a superb professional. Absolutely no slop with the painting. Painters are an interesting lot and one really needs to be careful, but these guys are tops. I recommend them without reservation. You will like Harvey Rogers!

They were fair. I have a brick house, with some amount of wood on it. They painted the doors too. They washed it all down and painted the wood. They were on time and they cleaned up well. They worked the entire time they were out. They didn?t fool around. I was very satisfied with their work. They were very nice. Their prices were good. I had to wait for them to call me back. However, they were very punctual. The guys didn?t speak English, but they did a good job. I?ll hire them again in the future.

Very bad. Slow to call us back and set an appointment for the work. When they finally came, they spent about 1/2 the time it normally takes to pressure wash our decks, and it showed; numerous areas missed, poor coverage, left marks you could see from a distance on our wood. Failed to return phone calls to resolve; finally came out, admitted it was an unprofessional job, had a very poor attitude. Failed to call back and set date for re-doing the work; I finally gave up and called someone else.

We had new windows put into our home and wanted to paint the brown trim to match the new white window trim. The trim was wrapped with dark brown aluminum and we considered having it rewrapped in white, but it was $6,000, and the wrap is in good condition. Harvey assured me that painting metal was not a problem and gave us a two year warranty on the work. We knew that bad weather was coming, so he had 6 men (I think it was 6) here from 9ish to 6ish for two days to beat the storm and they got it done just before the rain hit. He was very detail oriented and power washed my patios and painted my mailbox post for me at no additional cost. Harvey is the bomb! My house used to look like a tired 70's ranch, now it looks like a cute, coastal Colonial!

Progress went well with no more or less workers on site than was necessary with the work done in a week. The shrubs and exterior were protected and the debris was cleaned up as well as could be expected each day. The final paint job looked good.

Called Harvey and introduced myself as an an Angie's list member and asked him to come by and give me an estimate. Due to a schedule mixed-up on his end, we had to reschedule and he showed up promptly the second time. The estimate went well, Harvey took the time and worked with me in finding the right colors to match the rest of the house. And I asked him to start working the following week. The work itself was great. They did an excellent job painting over the old ugly paint in the bedrooms and did it within the promised time frame. At times they thought they were going to get done sooner, but then after viewing the result, took the extra time to paint another coat on. The total amount of time it took was right about what Harvey told me when we did the initial estimate. During final inspection, there were one or two areas they missed, but it was quickly fixed once I pointed it out. The only thing that could be done a little better probably would have been no problem if I was more clear upfront. In hindsight, I should have been more specific about the starting time, but I didn't think it was going to be an issue. So the first day they showed up around 9:30 - 10:00 ish. The second day it was around 9:00 - 9:30ish. The last day I specifically asked the day before and the crew showed up at 8:30 am. This is not a big deal if you're going to be home all day, but if you need to leave for work ASAP, definitely clarify with them before hand. This is a very responsive company, and if you ask (which I did half way), they should be able to work with your schedule or at least be clear as to when they will arrive. Overall, I am very pleased with their work and highly recommend their services. But I just wanted to note the timing issue so for the people who it's important to, they discuss it with Harvey ahead of time.

It went very well from beginning to end. Harvey came within hours of my phone call to provide a free estimate. On the scheduled work day, Harvey and crew arrived promptly; he introduced the crew and its supervisor. They worked quickly and professionally; did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. A few hours after job completion, Harvey phoned to determine our satisfaction with the work. We were very impressed with Harvey and his team and certainly plan to use them again.

Harvey and his gang were very professional and did an excellent job. They were much less expensive than all the other quotes we received and their work was top notch! The house looks great and we are getting ready to hire them again!

I called Harvey and told him how I had a tight schedule to work with and he came over in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday to give me a quote. I was very thankful for him acommondating my schedule. I then called him a week later to set up a date. The date for the painting to be done and his team showed up promptly. They had two gentleman and the owner show up to do all of the prep work and then the owner and one of the gentlemen had to go on to a different site and the painter that was left to do the work did an excellent job. Everyone was very professional and I highly recommend their services. I will be calling on them again to do more painting as I continue to remodel my house. Thank you very much Master Painters!!!!

I liked their work, they were really good. We are hiring them again to do our master bedroom. We referred them to our friends.

I thought the whole experience went wonderfully! I thought that Mr. Rogers and his crew were all very easy to work with and very professional. They take great pride in their work and it shows. I can not be happier with how all the rooms look. I would not hesitate to use them again, and have already recommended them to one of my neighbors. If you are looking for a professional painter who has integrity, is honest, friendly and does great (and reasonable) work, go with Master Painters.

Harvey and his company Master Painters are great. He came over to do the estimate the day after I called him. He was very easy to talk to, was straightforward in his costing approach, and provided me one price estimate and an alternative one with several options. His cost was very reasonable, considerably lower than other quotes I received. I was in a hurry, and he was able to schedule very quickly. On the day the paint crew arrived, Harvey came as well and got them started going over the instructions with them in detail before they started. They finished the two coats of all surfaces in less than 6 hours. The workers were professional, considerate, and the quality of their work was excellent. I have already asked Harvey to give me quotes for additional rooms in our home.

Everything went very well. He came and worked full days and finished on time.

Rain delays were a challenge, but at every opportunity Master painters were on the job. All the workmen performed with professionalism and were respectful of my property. Some minor damage was done, but it was promised to be repaired. I got a 10% rebate check for belonging to Angie's List. Mr. Rogers runs a tight ship, and his on site supervisors were very experienced.

Received a quote quickly. They came by our house later that week and received multiple quotes for various work. Scheduling the work was painless. The crew arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently doing an outstanding job. They even touched up a couple areas outside of the quoted area. No spilled or splattered paint and clean up was spotless.

I would definitely use Master Painters again, they were very flexible with what I wanted to get done and got the job done quickly.

The work was of high quality, and the company was extremely responsive and professional from the time of the estimate to the actual work performance. They started on time, and their estimate of duration was right on. The few minor issues I raised regarding quality were responded to immediately and to my complete satisfaction. Overall, the performance was exemplary and I would highly recommend Harvey and his company to anyone, and they would be my first choice for any further painting requirements.

This company was a delight from beginning to end. Their initial estimate was a little higher than what I could afford. I called them back and asked if we could do some of priming and prep work to cut some costs. Larry (a very personable guy who does the estimates as well as some of the painting), came back to rework the quote. We changed some things around (no more wainscoating in one of the bedrooms) and he assured me that he would come up with a way to make sure that my husband and I "didn't have to pick up a paint brush." The quote was redone and we accepted. Work started immediately (like the next working day!) Several painters came in, and they all were on time; friendly; and professional. They draped each room, moved furniture for us, and cleaned up at the end of each day. The whole job took just over two days. I loved their work so much that I added one more room for them to do before they left.

I called on a Wednesday morning to ask for a quote, and he stopped by the next morning to look at the house and drop off the quote. I called him back on Friday and scheduled the work for the following Tuesday. The two men were very friendly and professional, did a very thorough and excellent job of cleaning the house and gutters, and were considerate and thorough in their clean-up afterward as well. I would definitely recommend Master Painters to my friends, and I will definitely call on them again!

Called and Mr. Roger's returned the call promptly. I explained that this was an emergency situation and needed the work done within the week. He modified his work schedule and was able to start the job within 3 days instead of one week! I discussed with Mr. Roger's what I needed when he came by to inspect and give me a rate for the job. He knew the kind of paints and what worked best according to my needs. They removed nails from the walls and filled in as needed. The crew of workers were nice and well mannered. They were on time and worked without any incidents. Mr. Roger's was there to supervise as needed. The job was completed in a timely fashion and looked great! I paid one third up front and the balance at the completion of the job. Although it was a fast job, the place looked and smelled great.

They came with too big of a crew for a relatively small job. I like that, once he realized that damage was done, he was willing to work with me. The cleanup was sloppy.

As this is a rental property and I live out of town, I had to trust that the owner of this company would complete the job as agreed to on the contract. I still have not seen the work, however the tenant was and is still very impressed with the work, the professionalism of the owner and his workers and the timely completion of the work. The workers were on time. They moved the big furniture and return ed it after painting was completed.

He referred me to one of his, what I thought was his employee, but it turned out to be a totally different company. I decided at that time, that I didn't want anything to do with Masters. I felt deceived and am glad I didn't use Master. He also wasn't licensed with an A, B, or C license. RESPONSE TO PROVIDER RESPONSE: I always ask to see the State DPOR license as I found many people on Angies List do not have what is required to run anything in construction. I also ask to see a Liability Insurance Statement in current form - not expired along with the city license. The State License is a REQUIRED license for ALL contractors. I do not like having my intelligence insulted simply because of someones unscupulous/ illegal behavior. You MUST have a contractors license in the state of Virginia A, B or C. He had NO LICENSE. PERIOD. No license No work
