Master Painters

Painter was fast. Walls are beautiful. Work was good and he was gone. Some things to do or know in advance: To assure getting walls done in the hours allotted, do measure square footage per gallon and purchase all and a little more than the paint you need-- you will likely need two coats even with expensive paint. Do patch the walls and spackle in advance to maximize painters time spent painting--ideally 1 day before painting. Also you have time to sand and damp wipe dust from walls, and have them dry before painter arrives, as we did. Offer includes walls that are up to 9 feet high. Must call for separate service apart from an Angie's offer. Cannot add to the contract, as for other offers. Stairwells are not included as they require ladder or scaffolding. Crack of wall paint at floor moulding needs caulking before painting. Painter did extremely professional work and finished all that was asked earlier than estimated, and was able to get on road for Christmas family reunion.

Harvey was very accommodating with my schedule changes. We purchased an Angie's List special for a full-day of painting. Because the walls are orange-peel texture, it took extra time to paint. Lorenzo did a great job, was punctual, professional and personable. He returned the next day to finish the job at an hourly rate. The condo looks great! We have used Master Painters before, and we will use them again.

The provider honored the Big Deal of 8 hours of painting for $199. The work for the Big Deal was thorough and professional. he did a lot of work in the 8 hours. Unfortunately, there was still much to be done after the 8 hours of painting such as hallway ceiling, base board and trim, and kitchen ceiling. I rehired Master Painters to complete the other areas of the house that needed painting. The quality of work was very good. The painter was courteous and professional. Some concessions were made to accommodate the painter, for example use of water from the faucet and outdoor hose to clean supplies. Overall, the painting job was very good. The customer service details to schedule the painting job could have been a little better. The scheduler missed the initial paint date because he did not write the date down in the schedule book, so the date had to be reschedule. That was somewhat of an inconvenience. Once the date was schedule the painter did the job in a professional manner and with cleanup afterward. Since I had to rehire to fully complete the work, I had to again go through the scheduler. He scheduled a day to come out to the house to make an estimate for the new work, but he did not show because of the snow. Also, he did not call to say he wasn't going to make the scheduled appointment. I called the scheduler the next day and he was able to come out to the house to do the estimate that afternoon. Once the work was scheduled, and the price was good with a 10% discount, everything went well. I am very pleased with the quality of work performed and would hire Master Painters again. Thank you

The owner answered all three of my phone calls w/o having to leave a message. The first was to inquire about the deal, the second to schedule and the third to change the job. First scheduled for the painter to cut out the master bedroom and roll until the 3 hours were up where I'd take over as I can do that part myself. Turns out my husband did the bedroom as a surprise so i switched the painter to painting the ceiling and beams and trim in the living room, in that order for how long the three hours lasted. He started by caulking the trim (which it needed) and I was pleasantly surprised. He finished the ceiling and the beams in the 3 hours plus time and we were happy with how far he got in the time allotted. Rashawn arrived early "so he could do some prep before starting" so he didn't include that in the contracted time nor did he include the cleaning of his brushes and pans which hasn't been the case in other "deals" I've purchased from other sites. Rashawn was diligent, polite and pleasant. We will be sure to call Master Painters the next time my husband isn't in "the mood" to paint for sure.

The painter arrived on time and got right to work. He filled a couple of picture hanger holes in the wall. He covered the floor and counter top with drop cloth. It's a really BIG bathroom and there was a lot of climbing up and down off the ladder, but he did a great job. It took him about 4 hours to finish. He did a good job of cleaning up, no paint drips that I had to clean up. He was very polite and very quiet. The only time I heard him was when he moved the ladder. I would hire this company again.

During the estimate, Harvey identified how much paint would be needed in the different colors for the job, including trim and ceiling. His estimates were right on. We purchased the paint and were ready for them to come start. Due to the weather conditions, the original start date had to be revised, but that was fine as the weather affected both of us. Harvey and his team (3 total) arrived and set up protection for the floor and other areas to contain their work. They all started in different areas and headed off to work. They were all very polite and respectful of our home. The bedroom ceiling had some bleed through so I had to get some primer (unanticipated) to seal the ceiling which meant that it needed more time / work than originally planned. At the end of the first day, they picked up all drop cloths and cleaned up. Only one painter came the second day but he spend the entire day making sure that the all work was completed. When he finished, he cleaned everything up. Excellent price, wonderful workmanship, polite and courteous workers and (this is HUGE), they CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES! We have had multiple contractors come work on our home. Some are small and some are larger companies. None of them clean up after themselves! Well, they pick up, but the home is never left in the condition that it was when they started. Master Painters cleaned, vacuumed where necessary and it looked as if they had never been there except that the colors had changed. We have found our new painters. We will use Master Painters anytime we need work painting work done from now on. Thanks Harvey!

Paid $250 to get our ceiling painted in the tv room, kitchen, large foyer and dining room, which was a GREAT DEAL (Everyone else was above $500)!HOWEVER, they did a horrible job, BUT I contacted them and this is what they did: - Fixed all the lines - Painted the walls in the tv room and foyer, which desperately needed to be painted - Decided to put another coat of paint on the ceiling b/c they felt they didn't do a good enough job.Way to go Master Painters from Virginia Beach- Making sure you keep that great score on Angie's List.

He did an exceptional job. He was on time and cleaned up. He did his job and didn't bother me.

Beautiful work. Painter noticed that trim was oil based & paint I bought for trim latex so suggested a primer & waited for me to get it, then primed trim before painting it.

Excellent service! The owner, Harvey, contacted me immediately upon purchase of my Angies List Deal back in December. I notified him that I would be looking for services the first week of February when I moved back into my condo (previously rented out). Harvey made contact with me again in mid-January and we were able to schedule services for the exact date I needed (around several other move in-move out appointments). Kevin arrived on time and got to work immediately. He was thorough in his space preparation and cleanliness. He worked non stop with a very very short lunch break. He was able to get done more than what I had originally scoped for the time period (so have a list ready!). No spills or drips and the paint job is immaculate! He replaced/returned all light switches and plates and cleaned everything as if he was never there. Place looks amazing.

They were on time, actually early, as they have been in the past. I have used their services twice and am getting ready to use them for a third time. Very clean and friendly painters. Their work has been flawless and efficient. They never leave a mess behind!

These guys are great. The estimate was hundreds of dollars less than the others I met with. They arrived on time and finished with a large job early. The work was good with only a few areas to touch up which they did quickly with no questions. Very happy with the service.

The painter arrived on time. He patched all the holes in the walls, cleaned the areas then painted the walls. He was very courteous. While he was working We talked a bit and I discovered that he likes Jamaican Jerk chicken so I made jerk chicken and surprised him with jerk chicken and rice for lunch. He liked it.

I wish I could remember the name of the painter (Steven?) who came because he did a great job. He walked in, we showed him what we wanted done and he got started. He was very professional and very good. The entire job was excellent. I purchased the three hour special. He was so fast with the job I wanted, I actually added two smaller jobs. My wife had been asking me for about six months to paint the kitchen. I got it done in three hours with the help of Master Painters and would hire them anytime.
