I didn’t use them because the hurricane was coming in, but the quote was very good. From what I got from them, they are probably very good.

We were at my house then we basically got in our cars and went to the other house and he beat us there. He is working at the Virginia Beach property today even though I am not there, but my sister is present. So far, I wouldn’t hesitate to refer them and I will go back to them if I need more work. He can look and tell you where a tree will be in ten years so he is opening up one tree and taking others down. I really like that he said he tries to save trees when he can. My sister wanted a bunch of trees to come down, but he gasped when she suggested that they take down a magnolia tree.

I sent an email and someone called within a few minutes and let me know that George Mason would be by to provide an estimate by the next day. George stopped by that afternoon and took a look at all of the trees. Two of the trees had previously had problems and I was concerned that I might need to remove them but George made some good recommendations on what could be done to keep them and also provided a very reasonable quote for removing the broken limbs and the top of the one tree that had split. The work was originally planned for later in the week but when George saw that the split tree was leaning toward the house he said they would try and fit it in sooner. The next day I received a call before noon and George and 3 men arrived within two hours. George was here for several hours and then left the men to finish the work. They arrived early afternoon and worked straight through until after 6 pm. All four trees had been taken care of, the limbs and debris gathered up and taken away. Every person was friendly and helpful. They were easy to work with and George answered every question and concern that I had. In preparation for the next hurricane I have already made an appointment to take care of my problem trees and I am a very satisfied customer!

There was a misunderstanding on which day they would begin. I understood it would be on Tues based on prior conversation with the company. The company's understanding was that it would probably be on Tues. I called late on Tues and was told it would instead be first thing the next day. If I had received a call to update me on Tues I would have given them an A on punctuality. As promised they arrived first thing on Wed morning. The workers were quick and professional. It took about an hour total. They were unable to seal the exposed area on the tree that day because they didn't have the sealant with them. I gave them a B on responsiveness because I had to call couple of times as a reminder to come back and seal the tree. The sealant was completed the following week.

My interaction with them was fine. A group of 5 men were sent out with the mulching equipment and the work was all done within an hour, so I thought that it was pretty fast. I spent $200 on that service and it was from a deal on the list and I thought the price was really good. They did a very good job and they were all very nice to talk to. They also did a really good job cleaning up. They did exactly what I asked them to and that was fine. I would use them again in the future.

Mr. Mason the owner, came to our home as well as my Daughters home to give me estimates for tree limb removal, trees removed and deadwood removed from both properties. I was impressed with the extreme professionalism, but more then that, his desire to give us the best job possible. Mr. Mason kept in touch with me throughout the entire process. The pricing was very good and I was glad to hear that because I was paying for both properties. I was very impressed with the workers and how they truly looked out for both properties. Both properties were a real challenge to do and this company accomplished this with their equipment,experience and expertise. I would not even think about calling another company for this type of work. What a pleasure it was to deal with a company that keeps high standards!

I purchased the Angie's List deal over the weekend and called Mason's on Monday, expecting it may be some time until I could get scheduled, since this was such a deal at half price. Mr. Mason came over the following day to evaluate the job. He said it would be no problem and the cost would not go beyond the coupon deal price. He agreed to call me within the next week to advise what day they would be there, so I could leave the gate to my yard open. I received a call just two days later to say they would be there, and by the time I came home to check on the progress, I found they were already done. I live in a condo, so the yard is very small with a concrete patio. They pulled everything out I asked them to remove and left the patio clean and dirt-free. Mr. Mason called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied, which I was. I know this was a rather small job compared to others out there. I was pleasantly surprised at the fast service. Mason's definitely exceeded my expectations.

Mason's Tree Service is amazing! To begin with the whole crew is professional--my five year old and I were able to stay outside and watch them work before we had to leave for an appointment. George is incredibly knowledgeable and answered my multitude of questions as well as giving me some great suggestions. I recently purchased my home and the prior owners had lived here for about 50 years; the yard was overgrown with various trees/shrubs and plants. It was too much for me as a single parent, working full time to maintain yet I am on a limited budget. I was so happy to see the The Big Deal on Angie's List and purchased two then gave Mason's Tree Service a call. George was incredibly flexible and met with me at 6:00 on a Friday night so I would not have to take any time off of work to go over what I needed done with the yard. The next morning the crew arrived (I lucked out that he had a few hours before another job) and even though I needed to leave before they were finished I was more than comfortable leaving it in George's capable hands.

Great job!

George Mason and his guys showed up in the morning. Worked all day on a huge tree. Turned out to be a much larger job than they had anticipated, but he did not charge me more than the estimate. They worked on it all day, finishing up after dark. They cut up the branches, trunk, and ground the stump, and hauled all of it away. The did a great job.
