MaidPro House Cleaning

I have a couple of vacation/rental properties in Virginia Beach. Finding reliable quality cleaning service had always been a big challenge till I found MaidPro. The office staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The cleaners are very detail oriented and professional. They treated me like I am the most important client of theirs. They have waited in my property for electricity guy, they have changed their schedule to accommodating my carpet cleaning contractors, they have reported my water leakage and waited for plumber when I was out of town…I can tell they are truly a group of caring individuals who are doing extraordinary work. They are exemplary of all services that I have experienced. I think this business is going to do very well.

They have been to the house several times and have a done a good job. I have had to call and let them know about some surfaces being left uncleaned, but overall they have been very good. Sometimes you can tell which folks do a better job than others, but overall each cleaning is good. I would recommend them to anyone. Very nice to come home and remember, "oh yeah, it was cleaning day!" Thanks MAIDPRO.

MaidPro is really the best maid service! I have been very disappointed with several maid services in the past and decided to use Angieslist once. After carefully read all the reviews, I decided to call a few. MaidPro office really stood out. I was able to get hold of a live person right away. Mandy, who picked up my call, was very friendly and thorough. She offered me several options and quotes. She even wrote down my pets name and assured me that they want to make my pets comfortable with cleaning! The clean was exceptional. The cleaner went out of her way to make sure she cleaned exactly the way I wanted. She is very professional and cleaned 4 hours without a break. I received an email survey the same day which is super easy to fill out. Next day I received a phone call from their customer care manager, Deanna, to make sure I was happy. This is truly the level of service I have never thought existed in this type of business. They are simply exceptional. I am using them on a biweekly basis now.

They cleaned my whole house except windows, oven, and fridge which they aske me about but wasn't necessary.

It was all great. I have a three story house and it was cleaned exactly according to my specifications!

I have used Maid Pro for weekly cleanings for some time and the quality of their work has been consistently very good. They have made an extra effort to schedule the same cleaning personnel every time and there has been less variablity in the quality of the cleanings.

We were very disappointed in Maid Pro's services. We hired them to clean our house before we moved in. The house had been on the market and vacant for a while, so it was mostly clean, just dusty. The maid was a few minutes late, but she was polite and friendly when she arrived. She got started cleaning almost immediately and I felt confident that she would do a great job. In the kitchen, I watched as she pulled out the shelf liners in the cabinet, wiped them down, vacuumed inside the cabinet, then wiped it down before replacing the shelf liners. This was exactly what I would have done and I was grateful to have the peace of mind that when our boxes arrived, we'd be able to put everything away directly into the cabinets, rather than having to clean them first. I left the maid cleaning (she was scheduled to spend 6 hours in the house) and returned the next day. In the time since Maid Pro "cleaned" our house, the number of unpleasant surprises continues to grow. In short, we feel like we wasted our money and should have just cleaned the house ourselves, since that's what we've ended up doing anyway. Every cabinet in the kitchen (except the one she cleaned in front of me), had dust and crumbs inside. I had to call Maid Pro to send the maid back out the next day because she apparently "forgot" to clean one room entirely, even though they charged me for the full number of hours -- I have no way of knowing what time the maid actually left and I'm still struggling to figure out what she actually did for those six hours. The maid also neglected to clean any of the bathroom cabinets, even though this was part of our agreement and I went over it with her when she arrived. What's worse, a few days after the maid's second visit to our home to address these concerns, I discovered that the bathroom cabinets STILL were not clean, and not in a nitpicky way: a quick wipe with a damp cloth took care of the problem, but that means the maid didn't even bother to do that much. We definitely would NOT recommend Maid Pro or use their services again. Save your money and do it yourself or be prepared to supervise to make sure the cleaning actually gets done. UPDATE: Two months after writing this report, Maid Pro contacted us to offer a free re-clean in response to our dissatisfaction. We agreed to give them a second chance and are pleased with the results. In particular, Beth from Maid Pro is professional and works hard to get things right. The only disappointing factor in the re-clean is that one of the maids revealed that our first clean (the one described in the review above) only took the maid 3 hours. We were still charged for 6 hours -- Maid Pro would have won a lot more points with me if they had taken the responsibility to offer half my money back rather than a re-clean. That being said, I would definitely request Beth again if my home needed a seasonal clean.

I come home after work and the house smells and looks great every time. Can I find cheaper service? Yes, I can hire an individual, but they won't have company insurance (in case of injury) and I wouldn't have a large company standing behind the product. The extra cost is worth every penny for my peace of mind.

Called MaidPro, and got an appt. for about 10 days later (4/7/11), and a price for the 4-hour service. The person turned up the 2-hour time window we were given, and a full 4 hours work was down.

I thought the price was a little high. The service was okay. They did a decent job, I just wasn't sure if the value.

Timely, friendly, worked very hard. New girl missed few things, follow-up cleaner sent back out to complete missed items.

The first visit was $136 and inluded a very deep clean, I've since signed up for bi-weekly cleanings and pay $96 per visit. I've been pretty happy so far, I wish it was a little cheaper but it is nice to come home to a very clean house.

very well. The quality is dependent on the person they send. Originally, quality was less than acceptable...but when we asked for a different person, they provided a replacement immediately. The replacement was excellent.

While I am among the manliest of men, this is the one time in my life where I will use the term, "fabulous". Mandy was awesome to work with in setting this cleaning up, and Donna came out and really did a great job cleaning this place up after my wife's 7 months absence. Some of the best money I have spent on this house and I'd recommend them to anyone. Smells great, really clean, very professional and friendly.

I called Maidpro after having called Merry Maids. Unfortunayley I needed a move-out cleaning before the week ended since my property mngr already had the house ready to rent. Merry Maids could not accommidate my last minute request but Maidpro, not even having availability either, said they'd made some calls and see if they could rearrange their schedule. I did get a call back and they were able to squeeze a detailed 4 hour cleaning. I was relieved and they were just amazingly wonderful to work with. Sarah provided the house cleaning service and she, just like the scheduling staff, was so delightful to talk to and was enthusiastic to help. They were great and I will be calling for Sarah again soon. By the way, my property mngr stopped by while Sarah was cleaning and lauded her for her work! The new tenants wanted her card. :)

Of all the companies I have used in my area they are the ones that have been the most consistant in keeping my house as clean as I like it. They stand behind their service. If you are not satisfied they will do everything they can to rectify it.

Although the house is about 2,600 sq feet, I omitted some of the rooms that are never used; so the estimate was for about 1,800 or so sq feet. I could not be more thrilled....Robin called me (as I asked) and was friendly and cheerful...she let the dogs out and put them back in their crate when she was done. She left a check-list of all she'd done and left not a trace of dust or dirt behind. She's my holiday angel since I'm now ready for Thanksgiving traffic!

Very well. We have been very pleased with the level of cleaning that has been provided. On occasions were things have been missed on previous visits, I inform the cleaner and they immediately correct the issue. We have 5 pets, so they have a large pet hair challenge and have always done an exceptional job of cleaning. We would highly recommend this service.

They seem very professional in follow up.

2800 square foot house cleaned (minus 2 upstairs bedrooms and the room over the garage) in 4 hours by one person. This included 3 bathrooms. She came right on time, was very professional, and worked hard until it was completely done (no smoke breaks, etc). The original estimate was $220 for 5 1/2 hours. Final charge was $190 for 4 hours. I don't have a lot of experience with cleaning charges, so this seemed a bit high. But it was worth it, and I would definitely have them come again.

I would say they met my expectations. They did everything correctly. I can't think of anything that was outstanding, but they met my expectations and they were punctual.

One girl cleaned the entire house and maybe it was just too much for her as it was a 2400 square foot home and I had actually brought this up to the girl on the phone that they really needed more than one person-but she assured me it would be fine. The first thing I noticed when entering the home (24 hours after the cleaning) was spider webs here and there on the corners of the walls. Then I was trying to put my food in the refrigerator and was shocked at how durty it was! There was actually mold under the produce and meat drawers and the ice bucket in the freezer was absolutely grose! Maybe she wasn't told to clean the refrigerator-I don't know? Maidpro has a 24 hour response rule if you are not satisfied but unfortunately we were living in chaos the first few days and I was unable to call within that time period-so I just coughed it up to a lesson well learned. Our family transfers every 11 months and I am very used to moving and having many cleaning services hired-this company won't be hired again for any of my future moves.

I have had absolutely no problems with their cleaning at all. We have been very pleased with their service. They do a great job, and we plan to continue using them.

(03/01/2010) I am not happy with their service, and I don?t think they do a very good job. They are not doing the job that I had thought they would be doing. They charge you around a $230 fee for the initial clean, so you feel that you should continue on with them because of the initial investment. They price changes each time they come; sometimes they charge me $118 and sometimes it is $128. I completely straighten up before they come so they only have to clean, so I wish the price did not fluctuate. I had arranged and waited for a time, and asked that they leave by 1. However, now they are not even coming until 1. One of the workers has a difficult time communicating with me, and it is a frustrating experience. So far, I have not been happy with this company. UPDATE (04/08/2010) This is a clarification for a report that I had submitted earlier about Maid pro. I will say that they were very responsive to my questions about the service and cleared up a misunderstanding on my part. First, about the changing price, I didn't realize that a coupon had been used which made the price cheaper every other cleaning or so. My mistake. Second, they made every attempt to make me happy with my service after I notified them. I am happy with the company now.

I have a great team leader. She is very professional and does a wonderful job. They do not clean windows or dust on the second rotation. In the beginning I did have some minor damage to a table by a new employee who is no longer with the company. Terry, who is the manager, sent a claim form out immediately and I trust things will be repaired. Accidents happen!
