+ 0 moreJohn Wengler and his staff are VERY professional. They were patient as I asked a LOT of questions and gave me excellent advice. John was a great communicator about the cost, timing, and options I had available to me from the very first meeting. His crew knew exactly what we'd decided when they showed up... imagine that! I didn't have to re-explain anything. They were neat, efficient, and pleasant! This is the first service crew who made my old house's fix-it list SHORTER instead of longer. I thought Lighthouse gave me excellent service for a very fair price. I would (and have) recommended them to friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: Lighthouse walked through the whole house with me to answer questions and check safety. (I live in a 100 yr old house) They relocated the electrical panel and updated some wiring. They also installed some fixtures.

+ 0 moreFrank and Robert took care off all our electrical needs and went above and beyond what they were hired to do, such as fix some of the drywall that we knew was going to be an issue to the point that all we had to do was sand and paint this way we didn't have to hire a plaster company to come behind them. I would highly recommend lighthouse electric to take care of any electrical issues or upgrades you may have. I don't recall how much it cost that's why I put 0.00 it was definitely worth the money and a fair price to say the least.
Description of Work: So my wife and I recently purchased a house along with our newborn baby and realized a couple of home inspection issues so we immediately called John over at lighthouse electric and he came out to go over all of the small issues but while he was out he noticed a couple of other things that were not on the list such as smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors that were not installed nor wired to the up to date code so it was a no brainer when it came down to it so we had all of it brought up to code. I wake up the next day to my wife making breakfast for my 1 year old and I and she ended up burning the toast well at the same time I also noticed that all the smoke detectors in the whole entire whole house 7 total were screaming , well low and behold we know that in an emergency or my wife's cooking we could all escape unharmed. I am happy that I can rest easy knowing the safety of my family. Aside from the smoke detectors we also had them install a whole house surge protection system to protect all of our appliances as well as my audio equipment it comes down to piece of mind for us knowing it will be protected. The whole job came out great and the guys Frank and Robert were very professional and cleaned up as they worked. My wife even made them lunching and the smoke alarms didn't go off haha. All joking aside I would highly recommend them for all your electrical needs no matter what.

+ -1 moreThe electrical work in our new construction has been completed but we were very dissatisfied with Lighthouse Electric and would never recommend them. Our primary complaints were that the owner of LIghthouse is impatient, rude and condescending, the company overcharges for inferior electrical products and they charge very high prices for any changes to original order. They installed two complicated programmable items (thermostat for heated flooring and a timer switch) with no instructions. When asked for instructions on how to program & use these items,, we were told there would be a charge for instructions! We learned that our general contractor no longer uses Lighthouse Electric for their electrical work, so apparently there have been complaints from other homeowners. There are many good electrical contractors out there, there's no reason to use Lighthouse.
Description of Work: Our general contractor hired Lighthouse Electric for the electrical work for our new addition. We had two meetings with owner of Lighthouse for the work estimate & follow-up, but never saw him again as the work was being completed by his workers.

+ -1 moreFrank was extremely professional, knowledgable and had good feedback and ideas for how to accomplish what we were going for. They worked with our time goals and got it in and installed on track with other projects we had going on. I don't recall exact cost of everything but for time and materials the estimate and final bill were consistent and seemed reasonable to us - we thought worth the money to have it done right and they did it right.
Description of Work: Living room entertainment sound system and ceiling fan. Installed flush-to-wall speakers on either side of wall-mounted TV and set up remote sensors to interconnect stereo to cable to TV. Installed very high ceiling fan and cool remote control for it.

+ -1 moreI spoke with John Wengler, the owner, about the estimate. He gave me a good idea of the time it would take and gave me an estimate. They scheduled around me and when to have the power off. They stuck to the time and the budget. both the owner and his crews had good suggestions along the way.
Description of Work: Very professional service.They rewired my old farmhouse throughout the attice, added some outlets, moved/replaced the service panel, and set me up for a generator.The crew was well informed, had good suggestions and was courteous.

+ 0 moreLighthouse Electrical Services replaced ALL the wiring in our house in 2002 when we did a total renovation to our 1960's house. We currently have renters in the house and recently had to have the smoke detectors replaced. Living out of town, we fell back on using Lighthouse Electric, hoping our positive experience from 2002 would be repeated. John was responsive, trustworthy, and concise in his work. He is a craftsman. We completely trust him in our home and we have had to hire from out of state.
Description of Work: Replaced all the smoke detectors in our house, replaced a light fixture, replaced non-working light switches. Previously (2002) replaced ALL the electrical in a house renovation that took a 1800 square foot house to 4000 square feet.
