I hired Charlie for routine maintenance and care after he did a great job on a flower bed project. My job took me out of the area for 6 months so I explained to him that I would not have eyes on the property to monitor the work. I express that I would need him to upkeep the yard, flower beds (his earlier project) and let me know if any other Landscaping Maintenance came up. On a surprise return to the property halfway through my time away I was shocked to see my yard in disorder. The yard was up to my knees high. All the cracks in my driveway and sidewalks were full of grass and weeds. The flower beds were full of grass and weeds and the perimeter hedges were so overgrown I could barely open my fence. Charlie would not return my phone calls or texts about my complaint. Instead he sent a crew out that half-*** a mow and edge the next day. Expecting payment and without addressing the issues, Charlie simply texted me that the crew came out and mowed. When I further explained to him how this was not acceptable he told me that a complete maintenance grass, beds, and cracks would be $20 higher than my original price and that was considered his maintenance package. He said he would quote me separately on the hedges when he went out to the property again. I reluctantly agreed to the $65 maintenance / up price. 2 weeks later after just mowing the property again he came back with a different price. He sent a text saying it would be $75 for just the mow and weed removal from the flower beds, an additional $50 to just spray the cracks and $400 for all the hedges. In two weeks $65 turned into $125. Just to fix his poor quality work. He failed to meet expectations and stick to his word on cost. If I never returned, I would not have known about the terrible upkeep. He did not provide good customer service or remedy the issues. If he had originally kept the property up it would never have got out of control. I ended up having to come out of pocket for another company to fix Charlie's poor work. Untrustworthy, poor Integrity, terrible customer service and unprofessional. Picture are from after he sent a crew out to mow and "fix" the work.
