KELLEY DEVELOPMENT

Description of Work: Mark Kelley completely remodeled two 40-year-old bathrooms in our home. He removed everything down to the studs around the old tubs, opened and inspected the walls for water or other damage, took up the old floors and removed all the old fixtures, both plumbing and lighting. Using client-supplied new materials, he tiled floors and tub surrounds in both bathrooms, including wall niches for toiletries in the tub areas and decorative tile trim above the tubs. The tile work was beautifully executed. Using client-supplied materials, he also built a custom closet off the master bath and opened up an old small closet in the guest bathroom to make more storage. His subcontractors (plumbing, electrical, drywall) were also excellent, efficient and skilled. We bought many of the materials ourselves (new tubs, tile, sink tops, vanities, etc.) and Mark picked up the larger pieces from the stores. If he picked up additional materials for us, he chose high quality (e.g., birch for the shelving so as not to have shelves bow over time) and willingly went back to the big-box stores if there were problems with anything like defective faucets.
