The original bid included scraping the popcorn texture from all the ceilings and some light carpentry. To save money, I decided to keep the popcorn -- 1,500 square feet of it! -- and tackle the carpentry myself. The rebid for just the painting was more than fair $3,200 plus paint. The crew worked every day from 8a to 4p. They were professional, clean and meticulous. Items that I would have overlooked - a wave in the wall, for example - they smoothed with drywall mud and sanded before painting. The prep work was so thorough, in fact, that the painting was the easy part. He recommended colors and provided all materials except paint. In addition to patching, sanding, and painting, Jenny & Sons also built a new mantle, left ladders for work I was doing, and recommended an equally fabulous plumber and wall paper hanger. Jenny & Sons finished the work in a timely manner ( I added a few things that kept them a week longer) and said they would come back immediately if I was unhappy with any of the work. Overall, Jenny & Sons did more than expected and the quality was top notch. They stand behind their work and take pride in a job well done. What a breath of fresh air in the midst of a stressful renovation. I would definitely use Jenny & Sons again and recommend them to my mom!!
