He is a former U.S. Army Finance Officer and proudly served in the 82nd Airborne & 1st Armored Divisions. As a licensed Realtor over the past 23 years, John has earned the following designations: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Graduate Realtor's Institute (GRI) and Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR), John ranks in the top 1% of all agents in Hampton Roads in terms of real estate sales, has received numerous Hampton Roads Realtor's Association Circle of Excellence Awards and in 2007 John was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. John's wife Lisa retired as a GS-13 from the Social Security Administration and is a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Allegiance. Together they form the Berger Team. Lisa is a member of the National Association of Residential Property Manager (NARPM) and provides professional property management services to their investor clients. John Berger is a true professional and knew how to meet my needs in selling my property. I have bought and sold property for years with him. I also referred him to potential clients. I do not take my referrals lightly. I recommend family and friends, and I have heard nothing but accolades about his service to them. When he comes to your house, he is courteous and listens to your needs. On the first visit he brings beautifully done photos with relevant information about your property, not just examples.. His marketing analysis is explained in terms that even a non professional can understand. John Berger will always be my real estate professional and I will continue to recommend him to others.
