I purchased this deal for JK Tile for $349.00 for laying ceramic tile in a small bathroom. I purchased the deal in late October, not yet ready for the job to be done, I called for a appointment in late November. John came out December 2, 2014 around 4:30pm. Very pleasant and seemed professional, he said that our bathroom was exactly what the deal was made for. He didn't have actual tile to look at but said he had light, medium and dark beige tile, which worked for us. In a previous phone conversation he said that he had a overwhelming response to the deal and was pretty booked up through the end of the year, but if we didn't mind having his brother in law do the job we could get in before Christmas. I said that was fine as long as he warranteed his brother in laws work. When we discussed dates to have the work done, he said he couldn't do it before Christmas even if his brother in law was to do the work. I was disappointed but said fine. We agreed on December 29, 2014 at 8:30am. So here we are on December 29, 2014 at 10:15am and no one is here doing any work. I called John at 9am and he seemed surprised. He admitted that he hadn't even looked at his appointment book because of the holidays. Who doesn't look at their appointment book Sunday night before a normal work day? He went on to tell me that he couldn't do it today but could do it tomorrow. I told him I had several appointments tomorrow that couldn't or shouldn't be rescheduled. He told me he would call me back in a half an hour to see what he could do. So I called him back a half an hour later. John said he could get no one to do it today but tomorrow it could happen. Plus, he hadn't even ordered the tile yet. He could get the tile in tomorrow morning and do a rapid set so it could get done all in one day. I said you were going to do it in one day today, what's the change or difference? He didn't remember telling me that. So at this point I'm more than concerned about the quality and lasting results of this job. He goes on to tell me that he tried to get out of the deal with Angie's List but they wouldn't let him. He had sold too many and didn't have enough time to do them. Here's the big kicker, he isn't making any money off of these deals he tells me! Why would someone put out a deal they make absolutely no money at???? So more concerned at this point because what type of job is a guy going to do if it's just eating away at his time and his money? He said to get back to him if I still wanted him to do the job. I have contacted Angie's List and got somewhat of a refund. I can't tell you about the quality of his work but I can tell you about the quality of the way he does business and that is rated a F! Not sure how he is still in business if this is how he runs his business. Now here we are WITHOUT a functioning bathroom downstairs, especially no TOILET, because we gutted the bathroom for him to do tile. Now I will call my cousin Doug Moorcroft of Moorcroft Remodeling in Virginia Beach, whom I should have called to begin with, but I thought I would save myself a few bucks! My bad! We can only hope and pray we can get him to do it this week! The sad thing is this guy had a A rating when I bought this deal he now has 3 or 4 ratings of an F since this deal started.

I bought one of the deals on Angie's list for a backsplash installation. I bought the tile and grout because I knew what I wanted. John did an excelle job and I couldn't be more pleased! He was professional in every way. He showed up on time, communicated the schedule for grout day as promised, cleaned up, and did a fantastic job overall. I will be calling on him again to put tile in my bathroom.! I highly recommend him!!!

I contacted JK Tile and set up an appointment for him to come over to my house and do an initial assessment of the work required. The appointment was scheduled for 11 November between the hours of 4:00PM-5:30PM. JK Tile never showed up, nor did he bother to give me a courtesy call to tell me that he was not going to make the appointment. I personally think that this is unprofessional and as such, I would like to cancel my order and I am requesting a full reimbursement of my money.

When he came he was very professional, on-time and knowledgeable. I just could not use the deal as 30ft. was not enough for what I needed done.

He was prompt, actual showed up early for the intial appointment and every day he was suppose to be at my home he was early. Completed the job a day earlier then he said and under budget. He was a pleasure to deal with and have in my home. He cleaned up after himself and the job looks amazing. O, I am a retired Marine of more then 30 years , I am not easy to please... He did a great job

It didn't go well at all because he claimed he wasn't making any money. He said that it would take him 6 months before he could do the work. He had initially said that I was the first person to purchase the Big Deal he was offering through Angie's List. He missed his first appointment to come out and measure. And then the second appointment, he said he came to the house, he didn't leave a message. I called him right back (4 minutes later) and he told me he was on his way to another job already. He then said he was overwhelmed and had 15 jobs now and couldn't handle all the work. He told me he didn't blame me if I wanted to get my money back.

John and Jeremy were amazing!! I had a newly built home and was very nervous about picking out my tile. IT HAD TO BE PERFECT!!! The samples the builder had looked like they belonged in low-income apartments. It's what they like to call "standard", I guess. John took me to Mosaic Tile, which by the way was CRAAZY, it was like a dream.... I wanted to buy everything!!!! What I loved about him was that with a few simple ideas from me, like the fact that I wanted grey, sterile, zen oasis...oh and on a STRICT budget... John made it happen. Although I kept flocking to the expensive tile, he kept me on track, and something about his creative visions just really met mine, AND THAT IS HARD TO FIND!!! My bathroom looks amazing! I just called him and Jeremy back to ask for their input on future tile projects I'd like to do. They are definitely my NÚMERO UNOS in Hampton Roads.

He is a young man but he does a wonderful job and he is very reasonable. He was very responsive. My overall experience with him has been excellent.
