JES Foundation Repair

Communication is lacking..i can't comment on the overall job. I have not seen it aa of yet, but the inspector did review their work for compliance. A bit overpriced, but needed in VA.

Was too much money for the type of job and wasn’t totally necessary.

While the work was properly completed, the front of my house was left messy and the workers got mortar on my new brushed nickel mailbox. The mortar repair was not limited to the cracked area as they got mortar on several bricks a distance away from the crack. Debris was also left in the front yard. Someone was supposed to call once the job was completed so that I could approve of the work and sign off on papers. I had the work completed in October or November and I have yet to receive a call from JES despite my attempts to follow-up.

Excellent crews. Worked hard & well. Did a little extra to ensure all doors worked as designed. The settling around the fundation jacks was expected but exceeded expectations Had to get many cubic feet of soil to fill in the areas that caved in around the jacks.

Great! It was really neat how the job was done. Really nice people.

JES specializes in all types of foundation work. The company is good at what it does for sure. It is not cheap to use the company; however, your money is well spent. The company has the expertise.

Everything went perfectly from start to finish. Always communicate with me through every stage. Very polite and professional.

The original inspection was completed, but I never received the quote for the repairs. Even after a follow up phone call, the quote was never sent. Never heard back from anyone, must not want the work.

The estimate visit was thorough and estimator explained the process to level two sections of our composite driveway. Post-contract signing, repairman came out about a week later, leveled the driveway and repaired the joints between the sections. After about 8 months, the repair is holding great and survived a very wet winter. We are very pleased with the repair and service from JES and consider the repair to be a great and effective value.

Workers did a pretty good job. But no follow-up by JES after work was completed and that was months ago. That was disappointing. I felt like after they got their money I was just another number.

Work completed as scheduled and with quality. Although not cheap.

They were very professional and kept me informed throughout the process. Clean up was complete and thorough. Pricing however was on the high side.

Everything was fine, they were a little late to arrive due to problems on the previous job site, but I was kept informed.

There was some miscommunication initially, but they came on time, and did a good job.

The concrete didn’t rise all the way up so they are going to come back and try again in the Spring.

We were obtaining estimates for foundation matters. JES completed a detailed survey of the issue as did 2 other companies. JES is very thorough and I can recommend you at least consult with them.

It went very well and on time!!! The Foreman kept us informed all throughout the project. They put everything back to the way they found it. We are very pleased!!!

This company was the only one who used a laser to measure the house for level for the estimate. The crew did an excellent job. The foreman, Augustin took the time to explain what they were doing and what the outcome should be. It was amazing to actually see the fireplace chimney move back against the house and feel the floor move inside when the hydraulic pressure was applied to the front of the house. The two man crew who applied poly to the den flooring was also pleasant and explained everything in detail. Again it was amazing to see the front wall move up to the ceiling as the poly was implemented. All around a fantastic job by all. We recommend JES to all who need that type of work done.

The side walk is now level and the tripping hazard eliminated. Great job, excellent results.

A professional job, excellent results

We had two crews one that worked on pin points and lifted our chimney, they worked in the rain and completed this job in one day. The second crew used three days for full insulation and dehumidifier insulation in our crawl space and repaired water damaged board subfloor. Really productive crew and professional. I’m still waiting on my chimney to be caulked. Thanks for a getting us done in an efficient time. Please make note thAt Neil Beltoan and Eric Gawond were outstanding and professional during the complete job.

Very well, and faster than planned. Foundation inspectors were on time, professional, and provided outstanding explanations for the work. Installation foreman and team of two inspectors were again, ontime, communicative, skilled and professional.

Horrible. My floors are still not level since July. Work not completed to my satisfaction so I stopped the final payment. They are upset with me for doing that. They stated today they are done and want the rest of the money for the job. They are now threatening to send my account to collections for non-payment. In July they told me my floors would not be perfect but I sure did not expect to walk across humps in the floor and still have a sunken bathroom for $9K. I am filing a complaint with BBB, the Attorney General, and DPOR. When I logged onto the BBB today there was another complaint just like mine...their floors were still not level either since July. This company agreed to level my floors yet wrote on the contract “stabilize” just like the other complaint in BBB...was not what we discussed. Angie’s list needs to remove this company from your list of preferred contractors ASAP. No one else should ever have to experience what I am experiencing now. 2 people is 1 too many. Clearly this is an ongoing problem that they dont know how to fix . They should have told the truth and never took the job in the first place. I feel like I was “hustled”. They will not get another penny from me the way my floors look! Threaten me with collections all they want to! Shame on them!!!! By the way, I am a person who has an excellent credit score. I pay my bills. However, I am not going to pay $9000 for shoddy work!!!!!

The work was completed ahead of schedule to my satisfaction.
