Excellent. Work was completed within 5 days of obtaining estimate. Very professional.

The installation was efficient and thorough. The technicians were prompt and very courteous during the two day installation process. I was happy with their work and the options that were provided.

Bottom line, they performed the work we expected and resolved all issues to my satisfaction. I contracted with JES to have expanding structural foam (like Concrete Jack) injected under my home's foundation to fill any voids, and to attempt to level the sinking floors. The crew arrived on time, but they said that the work order they had for the day only included three areas, not the five that I had contracted for. The crew was professional and courteous, and attempted to help get clarification from their home office for the misunderstanding. They performed the work on the three areas they had on their work order, and cleaned up the work areas nicely. However, after that work was completed, we still didn't have any resolution as to how to handle the additional two areas that were included in the contract, but that were not on their work order. I called and emailed everyone I had contact info for at the company several times over the course of a week before I got any response at all from them. Eventually a manager called me to explain that the contract I signed and sent back to them didn't have the drawing describing the work to be done. But he did the right thing, got the original sales engineer to come back to my house and to finish the two areas that I expected to be part of the contracted work. The lesson here is to make sure that your contract is crystal clear, and that it includes both a picture depicting the work areas to be included as well as a textual description of the work.

When I called to make the appointment, I was pleased with how quickly they were able to schedule the estimate appointment. On the day of the appointment, Ian was running late, but he called and offered to reschedule, He was very understanding of my scheduling issues. When Ian arrived, I was very impressed with how considerate he was of the scope of the job and the way he looked for the most economical solution. In the end, he recommended another type of repair as the first step to resolving our issue. What impressed me most was that this recommendation would not financially benefit JES. This showed me that JES wants the customer to be happy and feel that they are not wasting their time nor their money. I would not hesitate to contact JES for any future needs and hope the rest of the company is as professional as Ian!

Let me start by saying that from start to finish the whole experience was outstanding. Fred Keen, salesman/estimator, did a thorough job inspecting my entire driveway and identified all cracks that required repair. Not only did he explain the repair process at a level that a layman could understand, the accompanying video of the process was invaluable in explaining what was being done below the concrete. The JES technicians, Steven and Zach, called 30 minutes prior to their arrival (the office confirmed the appointment date via phone and text message earlier in the week), and they arrived on time. They were professional and took time to explain each step in the repair process, and answered all of my questions. Steven and Zach clearly take pride in what they do, because they invited me to watch as they completed the repairs and did so within the time they estimated it would take. They cleaned up all debris (including some that was not of their doing). Their work ethic and cheerful positive attitudes was refreshing. They clearly emulated JES Construction's ethos of providing the highest quality products and service. When the job was completed, it was obvious that I had made the correct choice in selecting JES. I highly recommend them for concrete driveway repairs and they will be my first choice in the event I need their services in the future.

The JES representative that came to my house was an alarmist. He expressed that we had a lot of damage under the house and made it sound like it needed to be fixed immediately. He gave me a list of problems that he had found. He also claimed that the foundation under my chimney was cracking and that it was at risk for falling. JES could fix all this to the tune of $30,000 though. I called a professional, structural engineer. His assessment was that we needed a simple reinforcement of the girders that shouldn't cost more than a few thousand dollars, the chimney is perfectly level and there are no cracks, and my house isn't going to fall tomorrow....or ever for that matter. Be very careful when dealing with this company. I had heard nothing but good things, but the representative left a bad taste in my mouth...I'm happy that I got a second and third opinion (it saved me tens of thousands!)

The site survey/ visit was excellent

It went unbelievably well. This company and its employees, know what they're doing and what they're talking about. Michael Beck, field sales technician, showed up to my home at the scheduled time and got right to work. I gave him a brief description of the issues we were having with our home and he knew exactly what the root of the problem was before he even started looking around. After a very thorough inspection of the inside, outside, and crawl space of our home, he provided me with a very understandable, detailed estimate on the work that needed to be done. The price was a little high, but you get what you pay for. I rather spend a little extra money with a company who was properly trained to know exactly what NEEDS to be done, instead of paying much less and having a job done the wrong way, or just a patch job. I will be hiring JES when we decide to do the work on our home and can't thank you enough for your honesty and professionalism.

It went very well. Work was done in a professional manner and the crew was timely with their repair. They arrived at the designated time and stayed in contact with us throughout the process.

Tech. (Josh) very thorough, prompt and professional. Good communication kills. Stayed on task, focused. Went beyond my expectations. Found and diagnosed small Hot water leak. Good attention to detail.

Workers were professional and prompt to arrive and depart each day. they continue to return each year to inspect the work to ensure the sump pumps are working properly.

He checked/changed the filter.Checked the wood to see if moisture was in it-it was okay,checked the humidifier-it was right at the normal spec,checked plastic for tears,holes,etc.-it was okay.

JES estimator called the morning of the first scheduled estimate and cancelled. He asked if he could do it the next day, which was Saturday morning. I agreed. All I wanted was a estimate to seal our crawl space. Instead, he told us we needed tens of thousands of dollars of work to install a drainage system around the foundation in the basement and a sump pump. So, after wasting my time the first day, then keeping me in the house Saturday morning, all we got was more worry without any follow up, let alone an actual estimate to seal the crawl space-which is all I wanted to begin with. Don't (let them) waste your time.

JES did a complete crawlspace encapsulation for our home. We live in Moyock NC where the high clay content in the yard causes rain runoff to seek the low point on the property which is in our crawlspace. After a bad rain which deposited 7inches of water in our crawlspace we decided enough was enough. JES installed a drainage system with two submersible pumps. They also completely encapsulated the space sealing off all of the vent accesses. They completed the job by installing a dehumidifier to keep the moisture level under the house. The complete job was pricy, and we were a little dubious about spending that much but two weeks ago we had serious flooding from heavy rains and the system performed flawlessly even with the entire crawlspace completely submerging the pump system. The dehumidifier was damaged from the flood water and had to be removed for service. JES honored the one year parts and labor warrantee we have on the system and is repairing it at NO COST TO US. Each time I call them for anything they are courteous and timely with call backs if necessary. I highly recommend this company and their product.

JES Foundation Repair never called the day before and I called JES Foundation Repair twice on the day, 23 August, they were going to show and JES Foundation Repair said they would be here. JES Foundation Repair said they would be here on 23 august in 2 phone calls I made on the day they said their estimator would be here, but they never showed and JES Foundation Repair never called.

I’ve been a JES customer since July 2008. After 27 years of hiring and dealing with various home repair and improvement companies, JES stands out in a good way. In 2008, we received a report from our home inspector: high moisture in our crawl space that was rotting some floor joists. The engineer warned me it would be an expensive fix, but it should be done before the damage got worse. That’s when I called JES. They installed a CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System and reinforced the bad joists. In July 2011, we added a Sani-Dry dehumidifier and an Everlast door to the crawl space. In July 2016, during the annual inspection, the JES inspector told me the dehumidifier was dead and needed to be replaced and that it was out of warranty. But, the Sani-Dry dehumidifier had a warranty of 4 to 5 years (depending on the part). I still had the paperwork to prove it. I had 4 days left!! I got on the phone with George Frates, absolutely convinced that he would give me the runaround like so many companies have before. George explained to me that the warranty was actually 4 to 5 years from the date JES purchased the unit, not the install date. So, the unit was indeed out of warranty according to the manufacturer. Here’s the amazing part. Even though the unit was out of warranty according to the manufacturer, George understood my point of view and proceeded to honor the warranty from JES’s end by swapping out my broken dehumidifier with a rebuilt one (and a newer model since they don’t make mine anymore) at no cost to me at all. JES even widened the crawl space door for better access for the dehumidifier and it was at no cost to me (again, honoring their warranty). I’m so glad that I found JES. It’s rare to find a company made of knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful people who consistently treat the customer fairly.

Overall, the work went well. JES's initial schedule called for digging the holes and pouring the cement for the footings one day and then installing the beams and jacks within 2 days. After reviewing their manufacturer's literature on the cement they were using, I requested that they delay for a week after pouring the cement to allow for adequate curing which they did. The work crews were diligent and professional and always cleaned up at the end of the work day. My only issue has been and continues to be a lack of responsiveness from their field rep who spec'd the work and signed the contract. Getting any response has been like pulling teeth up to and including arranging for a final inspection and making the final payment. I have used them before and, if needed will use them again However, it will be with the knowledge that the lack of responsiveness will likely be part of it.

Our front porch was never connected to the structure of the house and was not properly supported. Add marine clay and watch a front porch detach itself and tip forward. When it tried to take the porch roof with it we knew it was time to intervene. We asked JES to diagnose the problem and help us find a solution short of rebuilding. They suggested a process called mud-jacking. Basically pump concrete into the cavity under the porch until it is level again. It was a slow and careful process and they were surprised by the mount of concrete that was needed. However we were not asked to pay more for the extra load of concrete. The process seemed to work fine until we noticed the slow creep again. In 2011 we contacted JES again and this time foundation piers were suggested, a newer solution available. During evaluation of the problem our original work was reviewed and we were informed that this new repair would fall under the original warranty and would be free of charge. Quite a pleasant surprise? In both of our dealings with JES we encountered professional and efficient work, from the CEO to the engineers, to the men who actually did the "dirty" work. Some names in particular come to mind: Donnie Hoffman, Doug Hulsizer(sp?), and Todd Simmons who helped getting the problem taken care off for good. The front porch is no longer trying to get away from us and will probably still be there when the house is gone. Doug, Donnie, Todd and several others at JES proofed that customer service still exists. Their willingness and dedication to make a customer happy went far beyond our expectation. While we hope not to have any other foundation problems I. The future, our first call will be to JES if we do! .

Trust --- we trusted JES to fix a bad situation and they did! This waterfront home was built on poor soil ? as a result, portions of the house sank 5 inches and the detached garage sank a catawampus 11 inches. The house renovation was planned to the inth degree and completing major items such as roofing, plaster work, flooring and more were dependent on getting the structural problems fixed first. Walls were cracked, windows didn't work, sliding doors wouldn't open, and floors were amiss. The house needed a complete renovation. A year and a half ago, we hired a local competitor to JES. They worked for four months with little oversight, the majority of their helical piers failed, engineering oversight was non existent, and they left the garage in a jack hammered unusable condition. I had to fire them off the property. After receiving several more structural estimates, we chose JES to remedy the problems. Their crews and supervision came in like gangbusters and they finished it all in 29 working days. It was a huge effort. They drove numerous piers down 35 feet, lifted both the house and garage, reinforced walls and floors, and finished it off with a walk through. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the production and engineering competence and expertise. Windows and doors that hadn?t worked in years freed up and are now usable, the family room isn?t crooked anymore, and I have my garage back. We trusted them to do the job ? and they did! I only wished we'd hired them first -- we would have saved thousands, we would have less gray hair, and would have finished the renovation a year ago. Lesson Learned. JES's management team was great and the engineering work was impressive. Our investment in them paid off with dividends. We were lucky to find a company like JES.

They're punctual. They're very clean. They do good work. They got it done in a very short time. The price is good for the work that they did. I highly recommend them. They are ran by engineers. The person who comes out and does the estimate is an engineer and that's important.
