Description of Work: Get job of sealing off the crawlspace and installing dehumidifier system. Made a HUGE difference in the heating and cooling of the space above it.

Description of Work: Overall, the staff seemed professional and knowledgeable. They explained the repairs they were making, any they were needed, and the limitations of what they could do for our situation.

Description of Work: The final job was done well, but there were bumps along the way. We were having the corner foundation secured supports added to a main beam in a 40 year old house. When the crew arrived they started digging on the wrong side of the house. The tech had the floor plan upside down. After calling the main office and expressing my concern we had a quick response with several managers on site and a very capable superintendent who stayed throughout the job. It was a rocky start but the end product was good. It was only the attentive efforts of the superintendent that turned things around and left us with a positive impression. I cannot recall his name but he had just completed the test to become a U.S. citizen and was proud of this. I can only say welcome and you are doing a great job.

Description of Work: I had no idea that I had a basement problem and I hope I never have to use a professional again for this type of problem. Installed a water drainage system in the basement of an older home. Used air hammer to gain access to place the drains and then re-cemented. Also provided a sump pump as part of system. As a result I had to have paneling and carpet modified in the basement after completion @ my expense. Dust is everywhere in the area because of the air hammer and the owner is responsible for cleaning this up. I wasn't ready to have this project done but the house would not pass a home inspection as part of the selling process without it. |You should probably get an input from a male point of view regarding the installation and final product. Employees were pleasant and seemed to be knowledge re the handling of the installation. JWA advertises in the local paper but has offices in Richmond and Manassas. I did not talk with any of their clients before the work was done. I do not have the technical knowledge re the mechanics of the system - sorry.

Description of Work: foundation stabilization and joist repair. they stress their are an engineering expert. nary an engineer did I even speak too. when the job was complete almost ever room in the house had creaking floors with a by the way that will happen and go away in four weeks.no customer follow up

Description of Work: very professional. We also had a warranty issue and they came out and fixed it and had it fixed quickly.

Description of Work: Placed numerous jacks under the house attempting to level it. Crews sometimes arrived unscheduled or not at all. Conflicting reports on work still needed from crews, supervisors and upper management personnel. Not responsive to phone calls or emails. I'll go elsewhere to finish the job.

Description of Work: JES installed 5760 lbs of rock and concrete in 9 footings for placement of jacks to stabilize our home. Mr. Charles Hartz our estimator, did a very thorough job in evaluating the problem and designing the solution. They also completed an encapsulation of the crawl space walls with two inch foam blocks after sealing all the external vents. They placed 20 mil white plastic over the entire area and taped it all together including the pilings. The final work involved the addition of a very robust dehumidifier with condensate pump. The unique method of combining the condensate lines with the a/c units water lines into an existing 4" drain made the external area outside the foundation free of water. A job extremely well done. The workers were polite, hard working and did a professional job. I would have these folks back anytime!

Description of Work: Asked for an estimate for major foundation repair. Their representative was professional and explained exactly what they proposed. We took estimates from several other contractors and selected another one. Our experience was positive with JES.

Description of Work: Because of chronic moisture problems under our house, we chose to have JES install their crawl space encapsulation system. Their crew arrived right on time and the job was completed exactly as they had promised. The crew members were very pleasant and treated our home and yard with respect. In the course of the job, our well pump was damaged. JES paid to have it replaced. We were especially impressed by their field specialist for home improvements, Jack Jackson. He always responded to our calls and made sure we were 100% satisfied. We just had our yearly termite inspection and our technician who has been under our house many, many times said that everything looked great. We also have noticed that our house seems warmer and even our doors are not sticking.

Description of Work: They did some preliminary/assessment work for me. They are pleasant to work with and they were professional with their approach. They sent a second engineer who provided me with a different opinion and I am still trying to decide who I am going to use for the work.

Description of Work: A company rep. came to our house to provide an estimate and explained the procedure to be used. We declined the service because we want to get other estimates. We may use JES later, as our experience with them was not unpleasant.
