We have used Mr. Dodd for over 30 years because we can always rely on excellent service. When you call James Dodd Heating Cooling and Plumbing, the phone is answered by his wife Carolyn. With her pleasant manner, she does a thorough job getting detailed information about the HVAC problem. When Mr. Dodd arrives, he has a base of information to assess the problem. He then prepares a detailed work order including the materials needed to complete the job, the amount of time to complete the job, and the cost. Several years ago, Mr. Dodd hired his grandson as an assistant. The two work as a great team. So, when you call Dodd Heating Cooling and Plumbing, the same team arrives to do the job every time. Our latest plumbing problem had the team arrive. They removed the old water heater and installed the new water heater. From start to finish, the job was completed in a timely fashion. We highly recommend James Dodd Heating Cooling and Plumbing. They’ve become like family!

He overcharged us just for the visit. I told him that I would give him a fair amount. He used very inappropriate language and swore at me. He charged me labor charges and service charges for $110 to check the freon level and only spent 10 minutes at my home and had his grandson wit him. I asked him about my senior discount and he started insulting me as a senior and using the Lord's name in vain. I ran him out of the house and told him he won't be allowed back.

Another quality service contractor. Mr. Dodd came out and gave a quick quote on replacing an old hot water heater. His price was a little higher than most in the area but sometimes you pay for quality service. After deciding to use him he promptly came out the next day and quickly installed the hot water heater. Within an hour he was complete and left zero mess. Here is where the extra cost came nto play... he install this hot water heater last summer. Two months ago I has some leaking from the pipe leading into the hot water heater. I immediately called Mr. Dodds and spoke to I believe his wife. She said he was having surgery in the morning but she was so concerned about us that she was going to have him come over to investigate the problem for us. I ended up discovering the leak was coming from the pipe further up from where Mr. Dodds had connected the new hot water heater. The fact that he was willing to come over immediately even with a pending surgery the next day says something about his integrity. He will be my heating and air contractor for life. It is not common to have a contractor willing to ensure they lived up their end of the warranty. Not only will I use him in the future but have recommended him to everyone I know.

We have used this company for twelve years after being burned by A-1American. His service is always timely, and his prices are fair. He has never given bad advice or recommended something that was unnecessary.He doesn't leave till the customer is satisfied, and has had the work performed explained, so you know exactly what you bought, and he stands behind it.

I like him because he is straight forward. Tells you what he thinks is wrong and shows you what he is doing.

I had used them ten years ago in my old house. So, I remembered them as they had done such a good job. It is a family business, consisting of a man and his daughter. I liked him a lot because he wanted me to know what was wrong with the unit and what he was doing to fix it. He showed me the part and pieces. He was very thorough and made sure to followup. I will use this company again in the future.
