About us

JAG General Contractor, Inc. has been operating in the Tidewater area for 20 years, under my leadership, Jeffrey Alan Goodsell. I relocated here in 1985 from Pennsylvania after a continuous decline in the construction industry. I was trained by an old school professional who believed that quality and service were paramount in running a successful business. Being trained in both residential and commercial construction from “ground thru turn-key” played an important role in what would become JAG General Contractor, Inc. today. My reputation afforded me the privilege of building a custom home in Texas and then I was called to Lake Tahoe to build the boardwalk and the descending steps. Shortly after I arrived there, in 1985, I was interviewed and chosen out of 17 contractors to build all of the movie sets for the movie “Navy Seals” starring Charlie Sheen. I am a perfectionist and take great pride in quality craftsmanship and superior customer service and this is instilled in those that work for me. Early 2005, JAG General Contractor was asked to go to Grand Cayman Island to do some custom home repairs from hurricane damage. Within our workforce we combine 90 plus years of experience in construction, marketing, financial operation and customer service. JAG has diverse experience from custom homes to remodeling and renovating to commercial buildings and condominium complexes. As noted, we are capable of servicing any of our customers needs with quality and customer service that surpasses all others. As a class A builder, we are fully insured and have many references for your review. He is not the least expensive but he is the best. We got exactly what we wanted. We are still getting compliments and it was done about five years ago.
