We were very pleased by the service and the one follow up call to correct one mistake that was make on the planter box. As usual, these jobs take longer that planned and we were prepared for that. Our only complaint so far is with the decomposed granite used as grout between the flagstones. It continues to migrate to the top of the flagstones and is hard to keep in place. If we were to do this over, we would probably choose a different material. The owner of the firm has always been responsive to our calls and emails and was professional in his work. He insisted on being here personally the day the flagstones were laid and supervised the design and layout. We would certainly recommend Homeworks to any of our friends.

All work was done as planned. Great communication. He passes the savings on to me when supplies weren't used. I would recommend them.

The work product was awesome. Jim provided personal contact with updates up to the scheduled work day. Jim was present to supervise the work the day of and ensured that everything was completed timely and in accordance with the agreed work scope. Jim was also credited with staying through the project completion and clean up.

Homeworks did an excellent job in all respects. They finished the project on-schedule, and for the original price in their proposal. Homeworks ensured that the subcontractors did quality work. There were no issues with added costs. All of the inspections passed with no issues. For this type of remodeling project, Homeworks was an ideal company to work with.

The estimate he gave for the concrete work in our driveway was quite good. His estimate for putting in a little court yard was like $6,000. It was way more than what I was thinking. I thought it was $2,000 or $3,000, and it came in at $6,000, so, there is no way we are going to do that. We are still waiting for the last estimate from someone else for the concrete quote, so far, he is the cheapest. We may go ahead with him, but we are not sure. We just thought that he was very competent. He had some ideas. We told him we wanted to do this, and he told us that it maybe better to do this or that versus what we had in mind. We liked that about him. Now, we thought that was useful to us because a lot of the contractors just come; you tell them what you want, and they would just tell you how much, but they do not advice you on what you might want to consider doing. We felt that he had more inputs and suggestions as we were telling him which we thought was helpful to us because he obviously had done a lot of work for he knew what would work best maybe.

I liked everything they did, including the gentleman who did the work; he did the repairs in a timely manner at a reasonable price.

In addition to Jim, we had three other contractors give us estimates on replacing our fence and pouring our new patio. We were immediately impressed with Jim - you'll hardly meet a nicer guy. His price was also lower than the competition's, right out of the box. He required only a minimal deposit to start work, which began about a week after we informed him that we wanted to move forward. The fence and patio were both complete within a week - once they started, everything moved quickly and without a hitch. As a bonus, Jim decided they could use a few of our existing fence posts, so he proactively gave us a little credit at the end of the project. I would not hesitate to use Jim again for a home improvement project.

They were excellent. They did everything very well. It was a good quote they were not the only ones we talked to. It was a little more than one of the other quotes we got, but they did a little more.

Jim was very professional and knowledgeable. His quote was reasonable. I had to postpone the project so no work was done.

We called Jim to schedule a time to begin work on the driveway. He scheduled a date when it would not be raining. The driveway and front porch slab were removed on a Monday and the new driveway and porch slab were poured on a Tuesday. The following Tuesday, Jim and his carpenter reinstalled the front posts and wrapped them. The entire job looks awesome. The driveway and slab and wrapped posts are beautiful. We love the way everything looks. We asked Jim to refer us to his electrician to have our electrical box removed and updated. That work has been scheduled but not completed yet.

They did a good job. They were very efficient, punctual and got everything done fast. I will use their services again in the future. Their prices are comparable to others.

There service was excellent. They were very professional. They took out the old drive way and installed a new driveway.

We needed a very basic office addition to our warehouse office.After contacting around 8 potential builders, I went with Jim because he always answered my calls and seemed to be the most professional. His price was neither the most expensive nor the cheapest of the bids I received. Jim was always professional, punctual and did the exact job we requested. I have a very sensitive BS detector which he never triggered. The bottom line is that in an industry full of scammers, Jim was a breath of fresh air and he will be the only guy I call when I need remodeling, building, etc. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a company or builder that is as professional, timely and affordable as Jim. By the way, I never knew Jim before this job and haven't spoken to him since. I'm just passionate about businesses and people who actually do a good job for a reasonable price. It's rare to find these days. I'm writing this review because I have a friend who needs some work done and I came back to Angies List to find Jim's contact information and decided to write a review.

They did a good job. They seemed to know what they were doing.

Excellent work. Jim responded immediately to my inquiry. He gave me a quote below my estimate. He assisted with the homeowners association approval which was not easy. I was kept informed throughout the actual construction. Construction started quickly and was completed quickly. The quality of the work was really outstanding. All the work was thoroughly inspected. A section of the fence did not fit perfectly at first but the pieces were remanufactured and reinstalled to fit exactly without my having to say a thing. There was an obvious pride by each of the workers to do a quality job. An outstanding job and an outstanding relationship. I will go back for any more construction or remodeling I may want to do.

It was great! There were a couple of problems and they came back within an hour to fix them. They have spent hours working to make the patio perfect. They were very knowledgeable and they let me ask questions. I am very satisfied and haven't had any problems with the patio.

They were professional, but, quoted a lot. I may contact them for a quote again, in future.

Overall, the experience went pretty smoothly. They finished the job in a timely manner and as we went along, I had made changes to the project and they were still able to finish the project with no delays. I'm happy with the work completed and I would highly recommend them to others.

Very well. All calls were returned promptly. Work was done at exactly the agreed time. One of the owners was present supervising when the work was being done. He even wore tall rubber boots so that he could supervise every detail. He was very polite and professional. The results of the work were excellent.

The Joyner brothers came and provided me with an estimate the day after my initial call. It took 5 days for them to complete the work but they were very meticulous and professional. I will definitely call them for the remodeling of our attic into a second story.

All of the work they did was precision work. The quality of their work was incredible they did a great job on my fence. I thought their price was fair for all of the work they did. I would use them again for any kind of construction and I would recommend them to others.
