Kristin and Brad looked at photographs of the chaise and understood that my dogs often sleep up there, hence the need for a resilient fabric. Kristin and I chose a lovely green denim with coordinating striped pillows. Kristen hunted down the striped fabric by telephone - this had been discontinued, but the mill had enough on hand for our purposes. I offered a deposit to cover fabrics - after all, this is a very tough economic time and Guy's is a small, local, family-run company - albeit one with a fantastic local repuation. When I was in the store, clients and designers were there from as far afield as North Carolina. One woman told me she comes here for all her needs - has not been able to find any other company with the same level of quality and service. The crew picked up the chaise the day after we picked fabrics. It took just over a month for the work to be done. Kristin called me and the crew delivered the chaise that afternoon. The finished product exceeds all my expectations - fabric, color, styling, detail and workmanship. This was not an inexpensive project. You always hear that re-upholstering a piece is just as expensive as buying a new one. The point is - I have never seen this type of double-wide chaise anywhere else. It has been in my household for fifteen years and is loved greatly. It looks fantastic and it feels fantastic to sit and lie on. Importantly, my boxer Rogan has given it the two thumbs up!
