After receiving a bouquet as a gift, I called this florist and advised that the flowers had been left in the 90 degree heat and they were drooping as a result. I also said that the design was lacking in that they used tattered burnt orange roses with other non-complimentary flowers, etc.I know it's close to Mother's Day and, clearly, I got whatever they had left thrown together. I've never known a florist that would leave a bouquet in the heat. The usual protocol is to call & re-deliver, etc. The lady that answered suggested I "bring them in & they would fix them up". I explained they were a gift and I wasn't planning on doing that. She then said they would pick them up, fix them up & return them. She said it would be hard to do before Mother's Day. I advised I could see that & that's all I know for now as I've heard nothing further. I reluctantly told my friend about it & that she should get her money back. I hated to have to do that, but I also hate it when a business taked advantage of someone ordering from across the country & delivers the cheapest looking arrangement they can thinking no one will say a peep. Not to mention letting them die in the heat. I won't be using this florist & it's a shame because as a local customer, had the bouquet been 1st rate, they would have had a forever customer. Also, the response I got when I called was less than customer friendly. The owner of the shop called and discussed the situation today. This is Monday after a Friday delivery. She advised that the directions from the sender were to leave the flowers on the porch if I wasn't home. She also advised the arrangement was "pre-chosen" as it was ordered on the internet. She did say that she only uses the best flowers and was very sorry this happened, etc. She did feel that they did everything they were supposed to do. She offered to re-do the flowers, etc. I advised that was not necessary as I didn't like the original order. She said if I stopped by the shop she would give me a bunch of flowers.
Description of Work: This was a gift delivery and the flowers were left outside in 90 degree heat. The bouquet itself was lacking in quality, design & color choice. The flowers were drooping due to the heat.
