Contractor selected all the materials. All excellent quality. The new marble counter tops in the first bath are gorgeous. Contractor did all the work over 2 weeks, one bathroom at a time. There were several plus ups in the contract as we found issues in the tear out. He discussed each with us and explained the issues well before proceeding. Loved the work. Would recommend to all.

Went great. From what I saw, Geoff did about 90% of the work himself. Always on time. Always quick with the updates. Great ideas. Easy to work with and easy to get hold of on the occasions I had questions. I plan to use First Quality on all of my future projects.

This man is totally amazing. Not only a good builder, but a nice person as well. And he's so smart. He has ideas you'd never think of that are just perfect for you. He also came in lower on his cost than any other estimate I'd gotten. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this contractor to anyone.

Look no further for a contractor. This one is conscientious, thorough and easy to work with. There were several examples of how Geoff went out of his way to do a quality job. 1) The rafter tails were chopped off with no regard as to whether they were all the same length. When Geoff re-roofed, he extended the tails he needed to to be sure they were all the same length so the overhang looked even all around. 2) The ceiling joists were not all level. Geoff shimmed the joists he needed to so that the ceiling drywall was not wavy. Just 2 examples. We had a few unforeseen repairs during the process (rotted subfloor, rotted rim joist), which were additional costs, but I thought the costs were fair. We were kept informed of the progress approximately weekly. There were a few delays, some in the contractor's control, some not, but I would expect that on a job this large. Geoff had picked out the tile, faucets, flooring and lights for the whole house. All in all, they were good choices, but he was willing to work with me where I wanted changes. Also, we had requested to do some of the work ourselves (painting, outdoor shower, backsplashes) and he was willing to accommodate our involvement. Bottom line: a big job done well. I would not hesitate to hire Geoff again for any contracting needs.

He did a really good job. We had an issue with the shower doors and he came out and repaired it without any trouble.

We should also mention that Geoff did considerable design work within the framework of this renovation, consulting with us on alternative choices and making suggestions that improved the finished bathrooms over what we had originally envisioned. Like any customer, we would always want more improvement for less money, and in our particular case, the fact that we had to pay for considerable work due to the failings of the home inspector and crawlspace contractor to note water damage that was obvious even to my untrained eye made incurring this cost frustrating. The pricing for the work that was required, however, was eminently fair for the quality of the work and materials supplied. Geoff is not the contractor if you want something "quick and dirty," but I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone who wants a job done right.

I did get my bathroom remodeled and I ended up using First Quality Contracting Inc. Geoffrey redid my bathroom. I think that he did an 'A' job. I got the estimate in October and he finished just before Christmas. He did a top notch professional job. His finishing was just a little less than I expected. His painting was rushed and also the grouting on the tub surround was okay but it just wasn't as clean as I thought it should be. His painting was corrected when I had him repaint the bathroom after he painted once. The color was wrong and you could see the paint brush marks. And even still now when I go in there I can still see that the paint job is less than I expected. It was just kind of in a hurry. I still think he was an 'A'. It did turn out very warm and welcoming. There was a lot that he did, and he worked really very hard. In spite of the finishing at the very end, he did such a good job with all the preparation work and the inside the wall work. He corrected years of water damage on the walls and the floor. The bathroom now feels so solid and well-built. So, I would give him an 'A' for the quality. I think the pricing is definitely an 'A'. He was very responsive. He was very punctual, He worked long hours, sometimes until 11 at night. He designed everything and he did it from start to finish. He was able to design according to my style and preferences. Except for one disagreement we had about the type of sink, he made great choices. And the paint color, I knew when I saw the paint color that it wasn't working. I am really good at paint. I told him not minty. I didn't want minty green. I wanted sagey greens, nice zen greens. He realized it was wrong and ended up repainting it. Geoff is definitely a top notch person. I don't mind recommending him to others at all. I would use him again. I would definitely use him again.

Easy to contact. Small adjustments along the way were easy to communicate. His team worked in all environmental conditions, which was impressive to watch. His work looks professional, clean deck. He worked to ensure that any future additions could easily be installed. He dealt with the local government to obtain permits for a small fee.

We negotiated well on the design, and the contractor had excellent ideas. We expanded the job, in the end, to include completing siding of the entire house, and installation of gutters. He even had excellent advice on handling storm water retention in the backyard. Materials and exectution were top notch. I think, most important of all, was that the contractor's follow up was excellent.

Geoff worked this smaller job into a busy schedule and showed up when he said he would to start the job. We have had to call Geoff since the completion of the job and he has promptly responded making arrangements to come out the same day.

Very good experience. Geoff mainly does all the work on his own, and keeps you informed on the process as he goes along. He was creative and a good craftsman and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Geoff was very professional from the start with his estimate & discussion of what our vision was for a remodeled bathroom. His price was VERY reasonable. Geoff is very reliable, polite, clean, & organized. He is VERY skilled and knowledgable in all areas of remodeling and construction such as plumbing, electrical, & carpentry. I never doubted for a moment that he knew what he was doing. He cleaned up at the end of each day. He is also very knowledgable & gifted in the area of interior design & decorating. He included me in selecting fixtures that went well together & the wall color, etc. He worked through a weekend to complete the project in the timeframe he promised. Although the project was delayed in the beginning by horrible weather, the quality never suffered. Geoff wisely chose to let "Mother Nature" have her way instead of trying to rush the work. The result is an addition that I'm convinced is the strongest part of the house. Geoff frequently worked long days to keep the project moving.

Excellent! Geoff reviewed my initial plans for the addition and modified them to provide more space and functionality. All at a very reasonable cost. We signed the contract and work is underway. I'll submit another review when the addition is complete. So far it looks great! Geoff and his crew Shannon and Tyler do wonderful work and are very professional.

The men worked hard. They just worked and didn't talk to me. They came on time and worked until dark.

Mr. Byers returned our call the same day, and met me that afternoon to look at the job. He provided me an estimate of $3,000 but also made it clear that the cost could go up if the damage was worse than expected, but he was confident in his assessment. He also noted that the siding was old and could be damaged during removal, which would require an additional $3,000 to replace all siding on the front of the house. He and his crew started the next day and finished on time. His assessment was on the mark and his crew carefully removed the siding so it could be re-installed, saving me $3,000. He and his team were extremely professional, courteous and hard-working. But the biggest positive factor for me was trust: when I shook his hand and looked him in the eye, I knew that I could trust him and that he wouldn't try and gouge me with hidden charges or unnecessary work. I would recommend Mr. Byers without reservation and will be calling him again for any of my home maintenance or remodeling needs.

He is outstanding. He did a thorough job. He checked the roof, doors, and windows.

Geoff is very reliable, he shows up when he says he will, works solidly the entire time he is at the job and clears everything up each night when he's done. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the job and can rectify any problems he finds as he goes along. He is a great all round guy who takes care with every last detail. I couldn't be happier with the end result and would definitely recommend him to anyone. I will be hiring Geoff again for future projects.

Geoff did an INCREDIBLE job! He's a real artist. He had to rearrange plumbing, level the sagging floor, install a built-from-scratch mud shower and then perform a heavy tiling job simulating a 1930's art deco bathroom including tile floor. Just a stunningly beautiful job - we're VERY happy with it & almost can't believe it. He easily comes up with creative solutions to any problem and proposes great artistic touches while he goes. He works hard, communicates perfectly. Always shows up when he says or calls ahead if there's any change in plans. Takes great pride in his work & graciously put up with my perpetual indecisiveness! He cleans up & puts away his stuff every night. Could have paid a lot more and gotten a plastic bathroom from mindless 'installers'. Can't say enough good about him! A pleasure to work with.

Contacted mulitple companies to bid. We chose Geoff because of product and price. Pictures of previous jobs looked great. He came as scheduled and finished as planned (2 days). The pergola is sturdy and looks great. We can't wait until spring to get things growing on it. We'll add pix asap

An absolute PLEASURE to deal with! Geoff did a beautiful job on our deck beyond all expectations. The price was great, he's detail oriented to a fault. Always in communication to ensure everything is done just as you would like. He turned the crude drawings I had into what I was thinking!! I've recommended him to friends and neighbors - Can't praise him enough. Planning to have him do all the work I can afford!! I am SO happy to have found such a great contractor - thank the Gods! How often do you hear that?!

Geoff was extremely professional from the beginning to the end. We could not be more pleased with his work. He took great care to protect our floors and cabinets, which were not being changed. He arrived at 8 each day and often stayed until 6pm or even later. Geoff took care to do the job correctly, not quickly. Several times during the job, Geoff discovered flaws in the original construction; for example, the original custom shower had been improperly installed, resulting in a shower pan leak that caused severe rotting in the shower curb and the walls. Needless to say, that won't happen in the future, not with the care that Geoff took to build the shower properly. This was not a simple bathroom remodel. Geoff installed 20x20 tiles from floor to the 11 foot ceiling at the fireplace wall. Also, the trim tile that we had selected was a pebble tile that was not easy to work with, but Geoff made it look perfect. Even the small touches, like light switches, were thoughtfully done. We could not be more pleased with the result. PS Geoff, our dogs miss you!

They did a good job. I am happy. The price was very good. I am pleased with the work they did. I most certainly would work with them again if necessary.
