And they made us feel completely comfortable with the very nerve racking process of buying a new home. They were prompt on time very friendly, courteous, and professional on their inspection. They use the latest technology and equipment for the process. They take the time to fully explain their results, that they found and recommendations on repairs etc... Dan, you are one of the best contractors I ever hired. First, you saved me from buying a lemon. Second, you did an inspection in the house I bought and I do not have any significant issues, 6 months later. Third, you were there for months following your inspection when I asked you multiple questions and you immediately answered to me, providing the right responses. My wife and I are from out of the area. When researching home inspectors in the Tidewater, one company consistently had outstanding reviews, and more of them than any other inspection business. After hiring them and being present throughout the process it was easy to see why. When Dan first called me to confirm our appointment, he made it a point to go through what they were going to be looking at in detail. It was a shock when he told me that it would probably take between three and four hours! I'd been through satisfactory home inspections before where the inspector was barely there for an hour. Now, this was an older (1950) home, and it had plenty of the issues you'd expect from a building of that era. Zach, our inspector, is a young, serious guy who was completely thorough and professional from the moment he arrived. Obviously Dan is careful about who he hires. Zach got right to work, knew exactly what he was looking at – and looking for – and although we didn't want to disturb him much as he went about his job, when we did have a question, he stopped and answered us with as thorough an explanation as we wanted, before continuing. From the peak of the roof to the tiny crawl space under the house, he went over every inch, and examined every system in detail, taking pictures and looking for problems, explaining to me what he was finding as I followed him around. (I let him do most of the crawling around underneath the home, but I did accompany him as far in as I dared, watching him examine every square foot, crawling under ductwork, wiping away cobwebs and narrating all the way. As far as I'm concerned, that little escapade more than earned him his money.) Just over three hours later, he was finished. But then he spent an additional forty minutes or so with my wife and I at a local coffee shop giving us a step-by-step summary of what he'd found and answering all of our questions. The final report was more than 60 pages long, with photos of every issue he found, categorized by order of importance. Although there were no major surprises, there were some issues Zach discovered that we're really glad we're aware of. No matter what our final buying decision is, we're completely confident that, thanks to Final Analysis Home Inspections, we really know this house.

Dan & Adam came out, arriving on time & ready to work. Used booties to make sure the home stayed nice & neat during the inspection. Inspected the home & a very large detached 2 story garage. Gave a thorough debriefing & answered all of my questions with what they found. Emailed me a written inspection report within the hour with pictures & video's embedded where there were things to note. Report was broken into categories so you could clearly see what needed to be addressed prior to the sale going through vs. what to take note of for the future regarding general wear & tear items. They've done inspections on my rental property, 2 flips & now my new primary residence & I trust them like no other. I will continue to use them & refer all of my family & friends to them. Short answer: Use these guys. Long answer: He was honest, very knowledgeable, and tells it exactly as it is. The realtors did not like him because he was brutally honest and did not sugar coat a thing. I was told afterward that the real estate agents would advise their clients not to do business with me if I insisted on using Final Analysis...because it would cost them a sale. I would use F.A. all day long, any day of the week. Highly, highly recommended. They were the only professionals in my corner. Not even my real estate agent was honest with me. He reveled falsehoods that were told to me by the listing agent and the selling agent. A home buyer needs guys like Daniel and Adam in their corner if they are buying a home in Virginia. In the end, our hands were 'forced' to use the real estate agents' inspector; who would never return our phone calls, did not perform a thorough job (we found out after the fact), and cost us dearly (thousands) in extensive foundation repair. If we had Daniel and Adam from Final Analysis, it would have never happened.

Final Analysis performed a pre-listing home inspection on my property along with termite and moisture inspections. Dan Rogers and Kevin Pappas were consummate professionals -- I truly enjoyed our discussions throughout the entire process. I appreciate their arriving on time, driving a company vehicle to my home, wearing company uniforms, and ensuring they did not soil my floors by wearing footwear coverings. Being a techie, I was impressed with the quality, detail, and imagery in their reports -- viewable online and downloadable as a .PDF. And it was available the same day the inspection was performed. Still photos were abundant and excellent, clearly showing all the good and not quite as good throughout the entire inside and out. Videos were also provided which I found particularly helpful in addressing some minor maintenance I'll need to perform. Lots of advice shared by Dan and Kevin on how I can best tackle some minor items. This being my first encounter with Final Analysis, both Dan and Kevin earned my trust with their evaluative prowess, and I believe you can safely rely on this company to exceed your expectations. I highly recommend Final Analysis!

You can stop your research now and book this inspector! I first used Final Analysis on my first house in 2012 and was blown away by the attention to detail, the dedication to quality work, and the expedient service, both in the detailed work that the team does and the turnaround time for the report. I was so happy with my experience, it was a no-brainer to use Final Analysis whenever I was considering a property. As I write this, Final Analysis is inspecting my 5th property and I can feel the stress of home-buying already lessened because I know they will do a great job identifying any potential problems or current deficiencies so I can know as much as possible about the property to make informed decisions. After inspection, you will receive a link to an online portal (same day - within hours of the inspection) where you can view, share and download your property reports. The full report will have detailed information and pictures that nicely summarize the property and its major systems (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.). The report will also provide easy-to-understand explanations with pictures of any findings along with why these findings are significant. This document has been extremely helpful for me and I find myself referring to it years later, because it’s a great overview of the home - kind of like an owner’s manual that you can refer to as you need to replace things or remember where certain items are. You can also view a summary of the findings (or just the safety-related items) which is helpful because it allows you to quickly view the items that you should keep in mind when purchasing the property while finalizing the contract or after purchase. Do yourself a favor and hire these guys!

The inspectors, Dan Rogers and Adam Comeau were on time and clean in appearance. They drove company vehicles, wore company shirts, and company jackets. They got right to work and worked well together. They never stopped moving or working even when they were inspecting different things. My fiance and I were present to measure the rooms and plan future decorating which caused us at times to be in their way. They never showed an irritation and were quick to stop what they were doing when we had questions. They were forthright in their answers never sugar coating their response. They spoke from years of experience which I can relate to from doing commercial and residential work in my past. It was intermittently raining but they got on the roof, went in the attic, and went into the crawl space. At the end they were both explaining their observations and concerns. I will call Final Analysis Home Inspection again and again when I need a thorough home inspection and I have. The home inspection report is almost instantly available. It has explanatory videos where appropriate. It will include photos of all pertinent systems; electrical, plumbing, roofing, foundation and more. It will include easy to read write up on conditions and problems. It will include unbiased recommendations for thing that should be examined further - immediately or in the near future by licensed professionals of your choice. The report is mine and I can share my report with others that I choose. The Final Analysis team will discuss the report with you before they leave. They are caring, responsive, clean and efficient. Dan, Adam, and Zach were awesome! Unfortunately, the house they were inspecting turned out to be not so awesome. I'm glad they were so thorough and the inspection report was very detailed. They definitely kept me from purchasing a money-pit of a house so that inspection was well worth the cost. They are not only very thorough and detail oriented but also friendly and professional.

Dan and Zach are simply amazing! They worked with both me and my family for a pre-dry wall inspection as well as for this final inspection and both times they were thorough, detailed, and highly knowledgeable in their reporting.
