Mr. Mike Mercer is a Technological Wizard and an angel. As you can see from the above, I was having major issues with my Dell desktop computer. I had received an email from what I thought was USPS about a package being delivered (I recently had ordered something online) -- and it was RANSOMWARE! I was so mad at myself since I'm very careful re viruses, etc. I had an AntiVirus Security Software/Program on my computer, however, none provides protection from this type of virus. My entire hard drive was encrypted and I couldn't access anything. After googling for a few days trying to figure out how to fix the issue, I searched Angies List for help. Thank heavens I found EZ-PC Service, Mr. Mike Mercer. Mike came by and pick up my hard drive. He was so knowledgeable, understanding and listened to me ranting and raving about Ransomware, etc. Mike took the time to try to restore any files he could, but unfortunately everything on the hard drive was encrypted. As he was working on my computer, he kept me updated and found numerous other issues with my computer. He asked if I wanted to update to Windows 10 and I said yes since I had issues with Windows 8 even before the virus. While updating from 8 to 8.1, he discovered Windows was corrupted and system couldn't update. He fixed the issue and got the system to 8.1. However, the problem started again, so he did another fix and system took all patches and then was able to upgrade to Windows 10. He delivered the harddrive, reconnected it and showed me how Windows 10 works and the differences from Windows 8. My system works like a charm and is running smoother and even better than when I first I purchased it -- all thanks to EZ-PC Service, Mr. Mike Mercer. EZ-PC Service, Mr. Mike Mercer is OUTSTANDING from technology expertise to customer service. And price was so very reasonable. Wish there was a higher rating than A, I give him and EZ-PC Service a rating of A+++++

Mike Mercer continues to be my computer guy. Why not? He is professional, knowledgeable, works around my schedule and is basically a good person--honest, trustworthy and empathetic. Mike was recently my go to on the application of Windows 10 as well as scanning for malware and setup of certain features. I am always100% satisfied with Mike's service.

No need for panic. Again, the quality of Mike's service was exceptional. He professionally and calmly performed magic and my computer was once again in perfect working condition. Mike is a master of the intricacies of the computer and is able to provide immediate response to my queries and any follow-ups. I had an outdated Windows computer so purchased a new computer with Windows 8.1. I have used Mike at EZ-PC Service before and was happy with his work and confident he could get the job done, so I called him, and he agreed to transfer all the files as well as setting up anti-virus protection. He came to my house to pick up the computers and returned them a couple days later as promised. All work was done as requested and on time. Mike is very personable and easy to deal with. I would recommend him to others.

Their quality of service was excellent and their ability to resolve the issue was excellent. He was upfront what the price will be. He came to the house to pick up the computer. He returned it after two or three days and it was the time he said he will have it back and it was free of viruses.

Before we met face to face, when I called Mike Mercer frantic with computer issues, he came across as trustworthy, highly knowledgeable and skilled and confident. Yes, it appeared the issues were beyond serious but Mike came to check things out. I was preparing to go out of town and needed to solve my PC problems as quickly as possible. The computer spent that night in Mike's shop but was returned the next day in excellent working order, the 'bad" things which had invaded it obviously expertly and thoroughly removed. I value the fact that I now have someone I can call upon and count on in the future for all PC issues, especially including routine maintenance. Called Mike Mercer on 12/31/2013 when I found my grandson's laptop was dead and unresponsive. Mike returned my call within an hour and after discussing what the symptoms were, came by the house and picked up the laptop. He called me several times the next two days to keep me informed of progress. After extensive testing Mike found that the hard drive was the problem and would have to be replaced. He replaced the drive with one that he had at the shop, reloaded Windows7 and several other essential utilities that a student would require and delivered the repaired computer on 1/3/2014. Cost was very reasonable, and the service was outstanding. Will use Mike for any other problems that occur and recommend him highly to my friends.

Mike did a great job. He called to let me know what time to expect him. He was on time and got right to the problem. I was unable to print anything from my computer. Mike worked on my computer for a while and was able to re-establish the connection with the printer. He also helped me with transferring photos from one computer to another computer. I would call Mike again if I needed service and I will recommend him to anyone that needs help. It was so convenient that he came to the house instead of me having to disconnect my computer and bring it in to a shop. Thanks so much Mike!!

Mike was punctual on the initial visit. He sat down and determined that I had a single core AMD processor that was 5-years old. The processor couldn't handle the requirements of the new software. This is what a friend had indicated who had listened to my tale of woe. After discussion, Mike ordered the parts. when they came in, he took the computer on a Friday Afternoon and returned it Saturday morning. He also found evidence of a prior virus that i had taken care of, and cleaned up the Registry. He installed the OS and transferred approximately 120GB of data from the old system to the new system. His prices were more than fair and he is very responsive. He has guaranteed parts and labor for one year. He's already returned once since my RAID system went out of whack. Neither of are sure if it is a separate issue or if it is related to the installation. However, he considers it a follow-up visit as a part of his guarantee.

Mike was able to fit me in the first day that I called him and came by at about 4 pm--exactly on time. He was polite, friendly, professional. I gave the details pf the services he provided above. I mentioned that I thought my monitor was about to go (it's about 10 years old) and In addition to what he came for, he took the time to find a monitor on the Internet which meant my needs and my price range. I bought it right after he left. (My regular computer dealer for 15 years had gone out of business and I was really feeling lost in finding and repairing computer equipment of any kind.) I had not mentioned the 2nd computer (the laptop) to him when I had spoken on the phone, so I was amazed and pleased when he just included it in his service-call price for the visit. I would have paid a separate charge without blinking. He was able to work on the laptop while the desktop was running, and it was within the hour that he spent here--but I know that many people in that position would have placed 2 items on the bill instead of 1. And he was certainly under no obligation to go on the Net and find a great buy for a monitor for me while he was waiting for something on my computer to run. Also, I'm used to buying custom made computers and that is one of the services he provides, so, as long as he's in business, I feel I will be well taken care of. Yay for Mike!!!!! And he came to my house!!!!!!!!! I didn't have to configure and reconfigure the maze of wires under my desk.. When it's time for a new computer, I will definitely have him build it for me.

EZ PC picked up my machine and returned it right on schedule. They fixed all my issues, as well as some problems with the registry and other side issues that were slowing down my machine. Exceptional service... I don't need to go anywhere else for my hardware/software support needs.

The service was very professional. It started with Mike taking off his shoes when he arrived. He was timely in arriving to pick up the laptop and timely in arriving the next day to return the laptop. There were new programs to install like a newer version of Microsoft office. Adobe Photoshop, and security software. The amount of files to transfer was substantial and I was pleasantly surprised at the speed and accuracy of the work! When Mike delivered my computer there was a little glitch in Microsoft Outlook in having both of my emails go through Outlook, but he sat down and corrected it right away, From the beginning Mike had a personable customer service approach and was very professional. I know just enough to be dangerous and it was easy to see the way Mike answered my questions that he knew his material. I would recommend Mike and EZ-PC service to anyone!

He initially was going to come to the house and work on the computer there. The timing didn't work out so he swung by the house and picked up the computer. He called later that night with the work that needed to be done and estimate, which was very reasonable. Returned the computer first thing the next morning.

I'd initially called Mike because of rave reviews on Angie's List. I was'n disappointed. He was courteous and helpful on the phone and in person. Since he didn't have to actually fix or correct anything, Mike didn't even charge me for a service call. I will absolutely call EZ-PC again the next time I need help getting my computer to work properly. He is sharp, responsive, and personable. If you have a computer problem in Hampton Roads, VA, I don't think you can find anyone better.

Mike, from EZ PC, came by the house, observed the issues I was having and gave me several possible causes and costs to fix each one, depending on actual issue. Called me the next day with actual cause and confirmed I wanted to precede with fix. Returned the 2nd day with fixed laptop. Runs great and has promised. Very quick repair turn around and highly satisfied. Will definitely call again if I have any computer issues with any of my computers. Highly recommended!

Everything went very smoothly. He was very prompt in answering my call and setting up an appointment time to look at my computer. When he had to take it back to his shop, he kept me notified of what he had found and what he was doing to fix it. He returned the computer right when he said he would. He answered all my questions.
