Very badly. Bert Dail lied to me time after time. Cost me about $10,000. to fixed his mistakes. Will not call me back. Left job not completed. Still fixing problems as of September 29, 2013. Didn't get my warranty on roof, windows, plumbing, and work itself. Made a formal complaint to Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. Check their web site there 4 pages of customer complaints and pictures on Enterprise Builder, Bert Dail. Good luck . Bert drove me crazy, My home of of 16 years wall and floor that he built still need repair. The outside wall still not repainted. I would not trust him to build a dog house for me

Response from Enterprise Builders
We tried very hard to make [member name removed] happy. He tried to piece meal his job and do work himself that he was not qualified to do, we assisted him in every way possible. The State board of contractors found our company to be in no fault on his complaints and our work to be in accordance with state and federal code. No mistakes were made by our company and all warranties were provided. Bert

Still in progress. Bert has done everything he said he would do. I have been particularly impressed with the quality of the framers and the roofers. Matched my existing roof perfectly and installation was excellent. I was very concerned about the connection between existing and new roof, so I was home to watch ( having done roofing myself in the past). They did everything right. I have also made note of quality of framers. The cuts are square. Flooring has been installed with very clean miters and butt joints. Site is a bit messy...the guys are not the cleanest but I have seen much worse. Job is still in progress so will comment more when complete. Update: Screen porch is completed and very pleased. Again, quality of workmanship is excellent. They have not been quick which appears to be a source of frustration for others. I did have quotes from three other contractors and they were much much higher. With a little patience, I was able to get a high quality project done to match my house and based on the other quotes, I save a fair amount of money. If you want something done quickly, may be these quys are not the ones for you. But for my money, they did an outstanding job.

It took them six months to get it done. Always no show. The owner Bert wouldn't even answer the phone. The project manager Robert is nice but had no control of the work process or the craftsmanship. It was a terrible experience with this company. Even his subcontractors said companies like this should be taking off the Internet because I told them I hired them through the web site called Home advisor .the owner is very good at telling you what he is going to do the job at initial meetings. But once when the job began, he no where to be found. The roof pitch of my new garage is not done according to contract. The job site was never been clean. All in all, you would just wonder if the work is ever going to be finish because the payment schedule is written to the contractor's favor. He will just take your money and disappear. In conclusion, don't even bother to get an estimate from Enterprise Builders. I am still a strong believer of there are still honest, dependable, and quality builders out there. I learned my lesson the hard way. Don't let be you.

Overall the experience was okay. I am very knowledgeable about construction practices and would have constructed the addition myself if I had the time to do so. Instead I hired the shell to be built and finished the interior myself. From the beginning Bert was very polite and professional. His lead foreman Robert was also very polite and professional. I am extremely detail oriented and expect things to be done by the book. This was not always done and I found myself having to inspect just about every facet of construction. We had a few contract issues - the biggest was that I requested (on the contract) that the roof be constructed with 3/4" plywood which was not done. It seemed that Bert and Robert didn't always communicate very well. Once construction started I didn't have much interaction with Bert as he was busy finding new clients (as the owner should be) however he didn't ensure Robert knew all the contractual details of the project. I was also frustrated by the lack of quality craftsmanship and knowledge of some of the company's workers. For example; the foundation wall was installed a few inches crooked. Windows were not initially installed with proper spaces for contraction and expansion (per manufacturer?s instructions). Plywood sheathing and roofing was not installed with the proper gaps between sheets (per manufacturer?s instructions). The roof ridge vent was not installed per manufacturer?s instructions and initially leaked. My gas furnace exhaust vent was routed too close to combustible materials and against code. Another issue which caused me headaches was that one of the workers (who is no longer with the company) was extremely sloppy with the caulking/sealant around the windows and trim after the siding was installed. Unfortunately this sealant, once dried, is impossible to clean off properly. Had the employee read the instructions on the tube he could have properly cleaned the excess off during application. This was not done nor was it caught by any supervisor. The result was what I consider to be a very sloppy caulking job all around the house which is unfixable without removing and replacing the vinyl siding edge channels. As I mentioned both Bert and Robert were very professional. I know I drove them up the wall with my requirements and my micromanaging. Both took it in stride and when I pointed out improper construction techniques or installations they promptly fixed the issues. We agreed to settle on the roof plywood thickness. Whenever I wanted additional items completed Bert was fair with the pricing. I understand that it's hard for any contractor these days to attract quality workers who are skilled at their trade and have a good work ethic - not to mention paying them a salary that also allows the project to be completed economically. I don't feel that Enterprise was much different than any other bargain priced contractor. I knew this going into the contract and figured that because I knew how things were supposed to be constructed I could watch over things and ensure they were constructed properly. If I had the need to, I would consider hiring Enterprise Builders again however I would ensure that I was there to review the construction techniques every day. If I was not able to be there or did not have my construction knowledge/background I would consider paying more for a contractor who (hopefully) would ensure things were constructed/installed correctly the first time. On a side note, there is no guarantee that I would have avoided any of these issues had I gone with a more expensively quoted company. Certain issues that I had, while they may not have been constructed as per the manufacturer?s instructions, may not have been as big of a concern to the lay person any many were purely aesthetic. In the end, both my wife and I are satisfied with how everything turned out and with the price we paid for construction.
Description of Work: Enterprise Builders constructed the foundation and outer shell of a 500 square foot house addition. The addition was one story on a crawl space foundation. They installed all windows, doors, roof, and vinyl siding. I did not hire them to finish the interior (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, drywall, etc) as I finished those items myself.

Bert Dail the owner was very persoanable at the beginning. Gave us a good price and promised the sun, moon and stars. They started on time and got ahead of schedule. Bert was expensive on change orders when he finally gave a price, he promised work that didn't happen. His foreman was a very nice fellow and a good craftsman. Bert lost all interest in us as customers after he got two or three draws $$$$. He was rude and very slow to return calls. His communication with his foreman was poor - several major items in our contract never happend as a result. For the final phase of the project I could only deal with Robbie the foreman. I would NEVER sugget that anyone contract with Enterprise Builders.

I thought they were pretty expensive and they job they did was o.k. They were not the most outgoing people, but, apparently they knew what they were doing. Since they were experienced, I would hire them again. I would much rather have someone experienced rather than someone who was not.
