While removing baseboards I came across a severe moisture issue. I left a message and they promptly returned my call. Rather than come out to inspect, the woman asked me numerous questions and then talked me through what needed to be done. She was extremely knowledgeable and informative. I couldn't believe she wanted me to try things on my own first in order to save me money. I will call them again in a heart beat if something comes up again. Everything she recommended fixed my issue.

I called and left a message late in the evening on Labor Day. I received a return call the next day and they set me up with an appointment. The appointment was two days later. The guy came out I showed him the mold I found and told him my concerns. He looked all around my house including the crawl space and attic. He used thermal imaging to show me there wasn't any mold growth behind the wall. He made several suggestions for ways to reduce the chances of having the mold reoccur. In the end he told me it was a very small area and it was something I could take care of myself for a lot less money. He told me exactly how to clean the areas and of course to follow OSHA's requirements to wear a face mask and whatnot. He was able to ease my concerns and it was refreshing to have someone say I could handle it instead of trying to charge me a bunch of money. I am very pleased. I would hire them again though I hope not to ever actually need there services for mold remediation in future.

I have to say that this company really is great. Everyone i talked to in the company did a great job. The lady i talked to on the phone when i first called in realized i was in need of a quick mold inspection because we were in a bidding war on a home we were trying to purchase. Every hour counted. She was very helpful and made a quick appointment for us to get teh Mold Inspection scheduled at the home we were trying to purchase. The seller informed us that mold was present in the crawl space and we needed to know quickly how much mold was present and how much it would cost to fix it. She scheduled Aaron to come out to the house, and he was right on time. he did a fabulous job. He was very sharp and knew everything about the issues of the mold situation and informed me of their experience fixing these problems. the home we were trying to buy was in williamsburg and this company is based out of virginia beach. Aaron drove to williamsburg from Va beach and got there right on time in busy traffic in the morning. that is hard to do. i could type a very long story to share the entire positive experience i had with Emergency Restoration Services, I will say these guys are awesome. i highly encourage this company. i have already used them at my current residence to check out our crawl space for issues. We have not purchased the new home yet, but if it does work out we will be hiring them to do the work. thank you chad, Aaron, and the rest of the team.

Chad and Aaron were wonderful to work with on this emergency project. Our kitchen, dining room and master bedroom were flooded in June. There was a 10-day delay in an insurance adjustor coming out to make an estimate for a claim against a contractor that did work on our roof. This delay aided the mold growth in our ceiling beams and walls. ERS came out within a day of us calling them. They sealed off the affected areas and began pulling down ceiling and walls, drying out the wet wood and treating the mold. They also had a team come in and clean out all our ducts and repair some broken ducts to ensure there was no mold spores in the ducts. It was a big job that took nearly a week to complete. We are so thankful for all they did.

CHAD COERSE, who owns and operates Emergency Restoration, calls himself the Mold Guy. He should call himself the Mold Doctor instead. There must be a zillion types and variations of mold, and Chad knows them all and, more importantly, how to treat them. AARON WHITE was my initial ER contact and it was to him I spoke when, a month after Hurricane Sandy hit, I discovered standing water and mold in the apartment that had previously been the residence of an elderly relation whom I'd moved to new quarters just a few months before. I live out of town, so this revolting discovery of a molded-over apartment, which came Thanksgiving night, was all the more distressing. I had absolutely no idea whom to call, living out of town as I do, and the building association was absolutely useless when it came to making any suggestions. That's when I turned to Angie's List and found Emergency Restoration. It may have been the building association's failure to maintain its structure that had allowed Sandy's rainwater to enter the apartment through a leaking roof and a crumbling exterior brick wall, but it was my problem to figure a way to clean up the mess. Aaron came to look at the situation and promptly gave me an estimate for clean-up. And then we waited, and waited, and waited some more for the building association to repair its roof and replace its brick wall and, finally, admitting liability, approve funding for mold clean-up---only partial, as it turned out, but better than nothing. (The building association's insurance refused to cover the mold damage when it became clear that the association had deferred necessary maintenance, so the funding for mold clean-up had to come out of the pockets of the building's other residents.) The process of wrangling with the association took six months. In that time, Aaron patiently fielded many phone calls from me and from the building association's representatives regarding clean-up. As soon as funding was finally approved, I was on the phone to ER once again, this time to work out a plan. They were great about working out a schedule to co-incide with mine so I could travel and be there on-site when the work began. That first day I met with BJ and AHMED along with company owner CHAD, my crew during this messy ordeal. And three of them were absolutely ten-force great. They showed up on time, every day. They sweated like pigs and worked like Trojans. They hauled molded crap out of that apartment and never once complained. This is wicked nasty work, which they do every day, but they were tireless. Somehow, while they scrubbed and sweated and sweated and scrubbed, they kept a sense of humor. They were, in a word, professional. I can't recommend them highly enough. If misfortune should ever visit you in the form of mold, take heart---Emergency Restoration Services is there to save the day.

The experience was really good and they were excellent. I like the fact that they came in, walked in the house and gave me their honest opinion. Based on the other contractors I had in the home, they were pretty accurate. They tried to keep the cost low as possible. They did a fantastic job and made sure to clear out molds & put a barrier system. My daughter has asthma and allergy. They also put an air purification system that cleared all the air out of the house. I had another contract that did the work leaving all the dust, mold and allergy in the house. My daughter fell sick because of that. They are reasonably priced. There was only one concern that I had with them. They came and gave me a quote. When they submitted the quote to my insurance company, they told me one thing and when I went back to the insurance company, they submitted something else. Overall, my experience was wonderful.

It was a very good service. We set up an appointment and he showed up on time. He is very professional, know what he was doing and talking about. He explained what he would be doing. He looked up in my ducts, in the bathrooms had mold, and also looked underneath the house. He brought a device to test the air. He was very knowledgeable, polite and explained everything he was doing. He was also able to give me recommendations on my duct work. He found some mold and was able to provide a price for fixing it. The price he provided was reasonable. He was very professional and the report was very good.

When we discovered the problem of mold, we called ERS (which was a Saturday) and they were out first thing on Monday morning to give us an estimate. The job was scheduled within a week. We were very happy that they could take care of the problem so soon. They were punctual and professional and very friendly. they built a temporary wall out of plastic so that all the dust and dirt particles were contained to that area. After the work was complete, they went over what was done and we felt that the mold problem was taken care of. They cleaned up and discarded the old rotten wood.

In August of 2012 I had extensive water damage to our downstairs living area. I contacted this company to provide an estimate for mold removal. They arrived as promised and took air samples to determine the damage and give me an estimate for repairs. The sample was sent off so had to wait 3 days or so for the results. I had to be retested do to some foreign substance getting in the test containers. Aaron White came out quickly and retested also expedited the testing process so we can get the project under way. The company came out and had to remove paneling and wall board from the room, bathroom and hallway (approx 380 sq ft). They did it quickly and professionally and put chemicals and fans in place to eliminate the mold. At the time I did not know how good they did their job as I just saw a lot of 2x4' where wall board and or paneling used to be. The wallboard in the room was only removed 1/2 up the wall but the bathroom and hallway had all the wall board removed. Later when I had another company put the wallboard and trim back, they commented about how good the wallboard was removed. It did not require extra work or cutting on the replacement parts. Thanks to the way they did the mold treatment and how they removed the material made it easier and quicker to have the room completed. Yes I would recommend and use them again.

From the beginning ERS where not only respect, courteous and prompt but when asked for their professional opinion they were candid and focused. I could reach them almost anytime but when i had to leave a message or email, I always received a reply or answer within minutes to a couple of hours or as scheduled. The first job was to eradicate Mold and Mildew where found in the property and do some related repairs. The job was done as detailed to me and a little more. I hired them for a second task of moisture and mold/mildew control under the house and all the work was done to my complete satisfaction, on time and thoroughly. I highly recommend them as all work was done at 110% and I would use them again. By the way, the estimates of work were thoroughly detailed and precise. I found the costs to be reasonable. We had a terrible odor that suddenly appeared in our garage.I suspected that it was mold. I called RES and Aaron White came within 24 hours. He did not think it was mold but took air samples from both inside and outside the garage to check.He explained everything throughly, patiently answered our myriad of questions, gave us suggestions and options. He felt it was either coming from a wall-long gap created where the garage floor had dropped and separated from the wall, or much less likely but still possible, a small leak in my sewer line ( we are on a slab). He suggested we have the sewer line checked first. We did and as he suspected it was clear. The next day Aaron came and cleaned out the gap and treated it with peroxide based cleaner. He left the garage spotless. He was meticulous and very through. .I did have a friend fill the gap with concrete. The mold report came back as negative and thus far, the smell is gone.

Aaron came out promptly a few weeks prior to give me an estimate, and the final price did not exceed this estimate. I gave the estimated price a "fair" grading only because I didn't take bids on the job, so I had nothing else to compare it to. On the day of the job, the work crew arrived promptly at 9 AM, and set about laying down plastic sheeting to protect my carpet from their activities, and tenting off the room where they would work to protect house from dust and mold contamination. After moving furniture out of the way, they then proceeded to remove about a five foot swatch of plaster and lathe from the wall and ceiling, followed by sanding and application of chemicals. Work took about 7 hours, which appears to have been very thorough. A Hepa filtration machine was left running in the room for 3 days, which was then removed. The crew was very professional. I would definitely use them again!

No problems. Very professional. When additional mold was discovered, there was no additional charge above estimate for treatment.

I called ERS on Sunday evening at about 10:00 pm and Chad answered the phone. I explained to him that we had water in our laundry room that looked like it had sat under the washer for some time. He offered to have an inspector come out that night. I did not think it was an emergency so he scheduled someone to come out at 11 AM the next morning. Aaron arrived the next morning as scheduled and inspected the area, took a mold sample and made sure I knew exactly what he was doing each step of the way. He explained to me that the water had gotten into some of the drywall and that it needed to be taken out. He did some testing in the kitchen to make sure it had not spread too far. He explained that they could begin the next day and gave an estimate of $1500. Again he arrived promptly at 9 AM and sealed off the work area. After approx. 4 hours the work was complete. They removed the floor of the laundry room down to the concrete and took out a small section of drywall and paneling along with insulation. they then wiped everything down to kill the mold. They took us down to show us what they had done and told us that they would leave some dehumidifiers to dry out anything that had moisture in it and that they would be back in a couple of days to take the equipment and put a sealer on the surfaces to make sure it would not grow mold in the future. they left everything looking cleaner than when they arrived. On Thursday they came back to get their equipment and put on the coat of sealer. The whole process was fairly straight forward, quick and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a mold problem.

To sum this all up, I called ERS and they saved me thousands and gained an endorser for life.

Professional and very thorough, gave me estimate and I am waiting on getting other estimates for the job.

Was worried about possible mold in basement. Chad came by on time and tested the substance which turned out not to be mold but offered advice on who to contact to deal with issue. Was very professional and helpful.

The work that needed to be done was the removal of about 8 square-feet of drywall in the ceiling of an interior closet, the removal of contaminated insulation and mold treatment to the adjacent rafters. Chad and another member of his crew showed up promptly at the agreed time, which happened to be a Saturday morning. They immediately began working to seal off the area, remove the contaminated material and set up HEPA filter dryers to dry the area out. The next day (Sunday) Chad stopped by to apply the mold treatment application to the adjacent rafters and collect his equipment. Following that his sub-contractor contacted me Sunday evening to schedule the drywall, plaster and paint work. We agreed for Tuesday and Friday evenings and both times he was prompt and professional. I then contacted Chad and he came out that weekend to inspect the work and install the attic insulation. He then made sure we were satisfied with the entire experience; which we assured him we were very pleased with the outcome. All-in-all the job took about 8 total hours to complete. Each time they came out they were always prompt, professional, and made sure we were satisfied before leaving. Also each visit they ensured the area was clean before leaving.

They did what I contracted for. One thing they did not do was, there was supposed to be a 10% discount on all repair work associated with the project. I did not get that. I was told that they contracted with subcontractors and therefore couldn’t give any further discounts. I was not pleased with that. They did good work and they showed up when they said they would. They did the work as said. Initially they were not going to replace the drywall and I would have had to find someone to replace it. That was not explained to me on the front end. Finally we negotiated that. He gave me a flat price. I would not necessarily use them again. Overall the interface with the owner of the company was good. He was knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. The follow-up could have been begtter. The people he hired for the subcontracting were excellent.

As a result of a leaky toilet flange over time, some mold had developed underneath laminate floor/baseboards and vanity. Not having much experience with mold, I called Mold Stoppers(Angies list find) and spoke with Chad about 7:30pm. He set up an appointment at 7am the following day and was there on time. He looked at the bathroom and did some basic moisture testing to determine extent of water travel and also recommended I clean up and demo myself. I appreciated his honest and thorough assessment and not trying to 'upsell' or persuade a homeowner to hire his company when it really wasn't needed. If I ever have a problem in the future with mold he will be the first person I call.

Overall the experience was great! We had a leak behind our kitchen sink that had been going on for awhile and created a nasty mold situation in the wall. I called the insurance and they said I'd need to take care of the mold situation before anything else. So I called three different disaster/cleanup/restoration places. Chad from MoldStoppers was the only one to pick up and then come the same day! (Saturday) I was very impressed with that...he kept great communication with us. When he came over he did a great job of explaining things and he made good conversation to. Even more to my surprise he said he could have his guy in to work the next day (Sunday). So he brought his guy Ahmad (I think) over that afternoon to show him the job. Sunday morning he showed up and went to work....he put up barriers to protect the rest of the house and ran ventilation. He had very little impact on our daily routine. The removal of bad material was done the same day...drying was continuous and mold block was done a couple days later. On the last day he cleaned up and left without a trace (besides what was demo'd as part of cleanup). Very impressive. Since insurance was involved...I asked Chad if he could itemize our invoice to reflect work that could be considered part of "water damage" he did and I was able to get $440 of the mold remediation covered by our insurance. Thank you!! From start to finish the whole thing was a breeze. The price...well I'm not sure what the other guys charge. But I think the quality of service and my happiness are easily worth what I paid. Thanks Chad and team....I was really stressed that day and you made it a lot easier on me!!!

I called ,had the estimate and have not gone any further.

I called this company late in the day on a Friday afternoon to ask some questions. After they answered my questions to my satisfaction, I asked that they come out to my house and take some air samples. Chad knew he'd be driving by my house on his way home, so he stopped by to perform the air samples then (within an hour of my call). We had previously had some air samples taken by another company, and Moldstoppers testing was much more affordable. Received a prompt mold report via email. Chad advised that based on the mold report that we wouldn't need any mold remediation. Very pleased with Moldstoppers and would recommend them.
