Description of Work: We had a long-time roof leak. Water came through a bathroom ceiling that was below a flat copper roof; a flat rubber roof ran along one edge of the ceiling. One previous roofing company had replaced the rubber roof; we had the bathroom ceiling repaired. When the leak continued, a second roofing company checked the copper roof joints and did minor repairs around a down spout that directed rain water off the roof; the leak continued. We called Joe Liller of East Coast Cedar who agreed to look at our problem. He arrived promptly and did a careful assessment. He noticed that the small plastic bathroom exhaust vent hood on the exterior cedar shake wall had never been caulked. He recommended we do so because it might be causing the problem. (He could not caulk himself that day because it was so wet outside.) He charged nothing for his trip and diagnosis. We did caulk and it has stopped the leaking!

+ -1 moreIf you want if done right, call East Coast Cedar. From our first meeting to the last, every step of the way, every question was answered and every detail taken care of by polite, conscientious professionals. I highly recommend Joe Liller and his company.
Description of Work: Removed two layers of old roof (wood, then a layer of asbestos on top of that); installed new roof with beautiful shingles; repaired some shingles on the house (previously broken, not by them).; replaced some aluminum trim; replaced gutters at our request, because we wanted a larger one; cleaned the yard completely of ALL debris (even some that went on to my neighbor's car port roof);

+ -1 moreWe called around and got estimates as high as $60000 in Suffolk, so we called East Coast in Virginia Beach. They did a very good job. The roof looked very nice and the crew was here everyday until they were done. They cleaned up real well after themselves and disposed of all the waste. We are happy with their work.
Description of Work: They tore off our old roof and installed a new cedar shake roof. They also installed new copper flashing. We do have a 2500 square foot roof.
