Dr Johnny's Appliance

They said they couldn’t fix it and to call Kitchen Aid. 6 months later and 7 visits from their techs we still don’t have a refrigerator. We were promised a new refrigerator 2 months ago and are still waiting. The refrigerator is under warranty but it doesn’t seem to matter. They couldn’t care less. We have no recourse other than to get an attorney involved and sue to get our money back. If you buy from Johnny’s just hope your appliance doesn’t break. If it does your SOL!

The repairman was very professional and worked quickly. He followed up two days later to see if the ice maker was working well. I would highly recommend this company.

I go back for the service and the fact that they are always responsive to the questions I have. Their prices aren't the best. I could get a cheaper appliance somewhere else, but I know they stand behind what they sell.

The stuff we get from him lasts. The price is not the best, but if it lasts, it's worth paying a little more.

My husband has used him for over 20 years. He does the high end appliances. He doesn't do Samsung and all that service stuff. We have KitchenAid Bash and Wolf. We use him all the time. He has repaired our washer. He has repaired our dryer. I called him and within 20 minutes, I had somebody over there repairing my refrigerator. You can't ask for better service. He is outstanding and excellent. He is the only person I use when I want my appliances repaired because they have the best service. He is the only person I use when I go to purchase new appliances because he gives me the best prices, better than most of the stores in and around the area. If you go in to buy a refrigerator, and he says, 'Well, why don't you wait another week? They are going to have a rebate system. I will order it a week from now and you will get a $50 or a $300 rebate. This is the kind of person he is. He is not somebody that just says, 'Okay, fine' and charges you whatever. We trust him. We had a repair and he said, 'I could charge you all of this kind of money. But this 69 cents piece, if you unscrew this and unscrew that and put that in there, that is all it costs to fix it'

When they delivered it, the hinge was bent. The gentleman was out the day that I called him within 30 minutes. He went back and brought the piece. Within an hour, he had repaired it completely from the time I called to the time he finished.

The service was excellent. The workers are also excellent. They were on time. The work was completed excellently. I do not have any problems at all. I recommend them.

Some time ago I called Dr. Johnny's to purchase a dishwasher. I described what I wanted over the phone and a price I was willing to pay for the appliance including installation. They had one that met my requirements and I agreed to the purchase. The new dishwasher was delivered, the installed one removed, the new one installed. The installer was meticulous with the installation measuring and leveling until it was perfect. I called the store after the installer left (with the old dishwasher) and complemented the installer on his work. A few days ago one of the installation clips failed, I called the store this morning and they scheduled a repair. I'm so pleased that i chose Dr Johnny's for my purchase and installation. Not only was the installed craftsman like in his work, but the customer service during my cal to report the broke clip was fantastic.

Dr Johnnys Appliances is a great company to purchase appliances from. Jenny, Dr Johnny and the other team members really know appliances and really do care. My family (my parents, my siblings, and myself) have been buying appliances from them for years. They know about all brands and features and have helped us get great equipment over the years. Dr Johnny in particular is a real pro in this business. He has a great service team that can fix appliances when they need it. I would highly recommend them.

Starting with the phone call everyone that I dealt with was helpful and professional.

Contacted Dr. Johnny's to try and set up a service call on a Whirlpool washer for which they are an authorized service company. Was told they only service machines they sold. This is contrary to the advertising on their web page which claims they and quot;have factory trained and authorized service technicians available for your service needsand quot;. I recently purchased a refrigerator from this company and was happy with that transaction. I, however, am very disappointed in being unable to do service business with them on a machine purchased elsewhere.

Excellent experience! I have dealt with Jennie for about the last 6 years as we purchased appliances for the condo community that my employer developed and she is by far the best sales person I have ever encountered. Very knowledgeable and personable. She asks questions we never thought about and then guides us towards a more economical choice which almost always turned out to be a bit cheaper. When I needed a washer/dryer for my home, my husband did some research online and picked out the one he wanted us to buy, so I called Jennie. We then visited the store and after talking for a while, and with her guidance, we ended up changing our minds and saved some money. Awesome! Dr Johnny's is more interested in meeting your specific needs rather than trying to upsell something you don't want or need. When the appliances were delivered, the delivery guy noticed some cosmetic damage in the back of the washer. They automatically ordered another one, we used the damaged one, and a week later got a new one. No stress. We highly recommend them!

If you go in and but two, or three or four appliances, he works out some kind of a deal where he discounts all for volume. He works out of his home I think. I think I got a real deal on microwave, built in double oven and dishwasher. He delivered and packed them. A really nice deal actually. It's unique. Pretty much a one man operation or maybe a family. In an out of the way area of Virginia Beach but he has a good showroom although it's limited. He has a showroom in what used to be his house. The he can order anything that you want. Offers what I consider to be awfully good discounts. I was extremely pleased, the service is personable. There is never more than one person in there shopping, so you walk in and you are immediately taken care of by either he or his assistant. Good experience all around, kind of interesting. He has quality merchandise.

Had to wait for the parts big deal, was very personable and thanked us for choosing him. Job well done

replaced refrigerator circulatory motor

Well it didn't go well the fridge has passed on. The compressor was bad. The service was great, I would call them again for my other appliances.

My refrigerator stopped working, and as Dr. Johnny's is near my neighborhood, I called for service. They were unable to fit me in that day, but did refer me to another service company that was able to come out that day. It was determined that repairing my fridge would be very expensive (compressor died!), and I decided to replace it. The service company that came out did not sell appliances, so I decided to check Dr. Johnny's out. They were very accomodating, although there was not a large selection in the showroom, they helped find what I wanted on the computer. I went ahead and ordered it, but would have to wait a week for delivery. THEY PROVIDED A LOANER FRIDGE AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! Who does that!?!?!? First thing next morning, the delivery men were there with the loaner fridge, removed my old fridge, and were very polite. They returned a week later, ON TIME, swapped out my new fridge for the loaner. The price of the fridge was within $5 of the lowest I could find for that model anywhere else, including the internet. Big Box prices with Mom and Pop service, what a deal!

I have used this company in the past and found them to always be fair in price and very honest in diagnosing problems on our appliances. In this case, our 15 year old Maytag Dryer was diagnosed as needing a new motor. The technician was very honest about the cost in parts and labor to replace the motor which led us to the decision to just buy a new dryer, and the technician agreed this would be the best course of action in this case. The technician only charged us for a house visit and not for the hour he spent at our house. I highly recommend Dr. Johnny's Appliance for any of your appliance repair they are very fair in price and honest in diagnosing any appliance problem.

Redid laundry room and moved dryer for work in room. When moved dryer back the exhaust vent pulled out of blower. Didn't have time to work on it with my own job requirements and with 3 kids- laundry piles up fast so I decided to call someone. Saw Johnny's on Angie's list and called them. They answered the phone on Sunday and scheduled technician 12-2 on mon. Forgot to ask pricing but was never told either. Tech on time and courteous. Opened front of machine and taped vent to blower. (5 min tops) then handed bill for 125 bucks. Seemed ridiculous but that is and quot;standard service chargeand quot;. So lessons learned- I was busy with work and kids and needed repair quick which I could have done given someone time and in the midst of it never did ask price ( though never told price either) Technically, on time, courteous, and did what was asked. A little smug when saying and quot; standard service charge- $125and quot; like he knew it was ridiculous as well. Other companies looking for repeat or long term business may have cut a little off. I am active duty military and new to area. In all other places I have lived, that was the case. We like Angie's list and once we find our go to person for something (carpentry, plumbing, paint- with value oriented and good work ) we give them good review and repeat business. We are still looking for our go to appliance person.

I was very pleased with the service and the value ($150). The work took about one hour. DO call Dr. Johnny. DON'T Call anyone else.

My washer was stopping in mid cycle. A technician came to my house after a late in the day call since we were leaving on vacation in a week. He diagnosed the problem, a faulty timer and then ordered the part. He instructed us on how to manually advance the timer when it stuck so that we could use the washer until we would be able to get the part installed. They came back the next Friday, installed the part and we had a functioning washer when we returned from vacation. Their people know what they are doing.

Not a good sales experience.
