Don's Plumbing Repair and Drain services

We used Don because of a coupon deal he offered on labor. (2 hours for $99) He contacted us promptly and worked with us to get a convenient appointment scheduled. He arrived exactly when he said he would. Don started in the half bath. The leak was tough because we couldn't find it. I had tried to find it in several places without luck and finally just put a pan under the sink to catch the drips. It was intermittent and fairly slow. He located it in the bottom seal of the hot water faucet but replacing that alone didn't fix it. He tried several solutions. He realized a new cartridge might work but he didn't have the right one on his truck so he needed to go to a (thankfully) nearby supply store. Before he left, he said he wanted to perform the repair on the kitchen sink fixture to make sure that he wouldn't need any parts for that to avoid a second trip. Fortunately, that was a straightforward job with all the normal parts on hand. I have no idea how old our kitchen faucet is, but we have lived in the house 22 years, and it was not new when we got here. Many plumbers might have looked at it and told us it had to go (and we would have believed them), but Don just put a $5 part in it and it works like a champ. Based on that, he would have my trust on a larger job as well. Both repairs were completed very much to our satisfaction. Don explained things as he went along and even though he probably spent a little more than the two hours with us (including the travel time for the part) he only charged for the parts.

He was very professional and friendly. Knew his trade and did the work promptly. He has to order a part for his snake before the visit today and was in touch with me throughout the week so I knew what was going on. I definitely recommend him and will use him in the future. Keep up the great work!

It was fine. I paid $20 for perks. They came on time. It was done quickly and it was fine. They were prompt and fast.

The service I received from Don's Plumbing was fantastic. First of all, they arrived a few minutes early. I originally purchased the $95 for one hour service coupon on Angie's List, hoping the plumber from Don's could at least get started repairing the leaks in my two toilets during that first hour. As an afterthought, I figured we'd ask him to look at the garbage disposal, which we don't really use much, but had been inoperable for months. In 90 minutes, the plumber from Don's completely repaired all three. They are very professional and do quality work. I was very surprised but quite pleased. If I ever need any plumbing work done in the future, I will contact Don's Plumbing, no question.

I purchased a special Angie's List deal that I believe was $99 for 2 hours of plumbing work. Don was unable to make the first scheduled appointment but made room in his schedule for the next day that I was available. He arrived on time and quickly tackled the multitude of tub/sink drain issues. I initially thought that the pipes had to be snaked but Don quickly ascertained that the pipes were fine but the drain "traps" needed to be cleaned out. After cleaning out several years worth of nasty "build up" in the traps, the drains were restored to their original condition - no more water back up. Don was courteous and professional. I would definitely utilize his services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking to have some plumbing work done.

Don was great. He showed me that the two sinks were clogged because of hair stuck on the stoppers (yuck!) and how to get them clean myself next time. He also replaced parts on two old toilets that were intermittently running after refilling, which is why the total cost was $141 ($99 big deal plus $42 parts). . The only problem was that he did not have replacement parts for the two toilets, but since the Big Deal was for two hours he had time to go to Home Depot and get the parts and return with time left to make the repairs. I just wish I had remembered that we are having an intermittent problem with the kitchen sink that he could have diagnosed when he was here and possibly repaired it as part of the big deal. My fault to not have a good To-Do list for him when he arrived. I recommend Don for your plumbing repairs--he seems conscientious and patient in explaining what the situation is. I will use him again.

Great job! Explained the situation with old piping which I suspected - was confident he could get it done and did in good time with no issues. He took the time to make a run ot the store for connectors of the correct size and look at another issue before leaving. All of this done with-in 60 mins. I could tell that he takes pride in his work - knows what he's doing. I would DEF hire again...

Don arrived on time and fixed a minor leak in the kitchen sink and replaced a shower diverter valve. He did a great job and was done in about 1 1/2/ hours.

He showed up on time, was very profession and nice. I had two projects that I was hoping he would be able to perform. He looked at them both and was very honest and straight forward with me. One project was doable and even with that he explained the pros and cons of going. Given the use of the sink we decided to move forward with the project. It turned out great. He maximized the available space under the sink while also minimizing (as best he could) the number of turns that could potentially cause blockage issues in the future. The other project wasn't as easily done. It would have involved rerouting the plumbing in the wall from under the house and it was an all day job that would have been costly. The ROI wasn't worth it and Don was upfront about that as well. All in all not the answer I wanted but I appreciated his candor. Since he talked my husband out of it (and by default my husband talked me out of it), my husband asked him to look at something else since we had him for 2 hours of labor. The sprayer on our vegetable sink wasn't secure like the others. As it turns out, the sprayer threads were broken from the install, he told us to find the manufacturer information and he (or we) could call and get a replacement part that he could then install. We have every intention of locating the warranty paperwork and rescheduling for Don to come back. When I find someone to do work on my house that I trust, they are the only people that do work for me going forward. I found that in Don. I have alot of plumbing projects coming up... Especially since i want to rework/change out the shower/tub combos in 3 bathrooms. He may not know what he's gotten himself into... ;-) Definitely recommend him for your next plumbing job.

Purchased a "deal" from Angie's List for 2 hours of plumbing service by Don's Plumbing (for $99) and then arranged a date and time via online communication from Angie's website to Don's Plumbing for only a leak under my kitchen sink (where the dishwasher hose connected to the sink pipe). A few days before the service appointment the sink, which had been draining very very slowly, totally stopped draining at all. The repairman arrived exactly on time and was able to fix both problems - he thoroughly snaked out the kitchen drain pipes and replaced the dishwasher connector (a $10 part) all within about one hour. He was very professional and personable and I was extremely satisfied with the job that was done.

Don responded promptly to my initial request for a quotation for the work. On the day of the work he arrived on time and got to work straight away. He was polite, professional and even cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Don did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to use him in the future and to recommend him to my family and friends.

Don was fabulous. He was on time and worked quickly and efficiently. I have an old house and I was amazed at how easily he dealt with my plumbing problems. I will be calling him soon to replace my hot water heater.

Tony came out and fixed the dishwasher on the spot, apparently SEARS did something wrong with the drain when they installed. As far as the kitchen sink faucet, Tony had to call the company and they sent him a replacement part. He came out this morning at exactly the time he said he would be here and fixed the faucet in less than a half an hour. I was pleased with the overall cost which was only $147. Tony was professional and courteous, I will definitely use him for any additional plumbing needs.

Don was in-charge of fixing plumbing issues on a house we just purchased. Not only did he incorrectly fix the P-traps on two different sinks so we had to get them redone, he totally lied on the invoice to say he repaired the seal on our toilet yet the water valve was broken ( which we discovered as soon as we closed) so there was no way he could have fixed the seal without turning off the water. Also the old dirty seal was obvious no one had even touched it! He also claimed to have fixed the kitchen sink which our VA loan was contingent on as it has dirty dishwater cycling into the dishwasher. Today we had to replace our dishwasher due to it not working properly and found out Don never fixed this problem either. Only marked it fixed on his invoice! We have spent $100's of dollars to fix the work he claimed he did. Do not hire this company!!

The initial deal involved repairing a leak in the laundry room sink. When Don was finished,weI asked him if he would look at our downstairs toilet that had a loose connection to the floor. Concern was over tightening the bolts. On closer inspection, Don asked if he could go under the house and look at the drain pipe. When he returned, he told me that the last repairman had not secured the drain pipe to the floor. Therefore, our toilet was connected to the pipe, but not to the floor! He said he was available to come at a later date with materials to fix our floor under the house to secure the drain pipe. A few weeks later, Don arrived and completed the job in an outstanding manner. Great job--professional, friendly, quality, great price, punctual--these are all the terms that define Don and his company when it comes to his efforts and customer service. I called Don because of his high ratings on Angie's List, and because his office was in Virginia Beach, where I live. When I called, I told him that both of my toilets and both of my showers were backed-up and bubbling and that I needed immediate service. He accommodated me, although I knew that he was busy. He came when he said that he'd come. He was very courteous. He started work immediately upon arriving and worked for the next two plus hours. He had to snake the line from an access point on my roof. He worked hard and continuously for over two hours. He cleared the line. Both toilets and both showers worked fine when he left. He cleaned up after himself. He charged me a very reasonable price. He was super. I could not ask for a more professional, skilled, courteous plumber. He is super and I will use him again without question. In fact, I won't use anyone else. i
