DOLPHIN HEATING & COOLING

The employee was professional, punctual, efficient and friendly. The cost was for a service contract to annually check the heating and cooling. All the dealings I have had with the company prove them to be a very fair company. I just bought this 40 some-odd year old house last year. The heating unit is very old looking and I just assumed an HVAC company would try to sell me a new one but this company has now twice told me that, while looking old, the unit is in fine condition so I should be able to get at least a few more years out of it before replacement. Nice to hear.

Had an A/C die at the end of summer last year and put off having it checked out until spring. On the recommendation of a friend, I called and reached Todd. We set up an appointment for him to come out to my house. He looked at the old one, pronounced it dead and suggested a replacement. I had two other estimates that both were almost 2 thousand dollars more and suggested the use of a zone system using baffles, which I specifically did not want. Todd was the only one of the three that listened and put in 2 smaller units instead of one large one. The lower than expected price allowed me to have him add a couple of minor additions like ultraviolet lights in the some of the ducts. Although he had a helper, I think he is a small two-person company. He answered both times I called and was on-site performing the actual work. I consider this a positive, as I prefer to support smaller companies when economically feasible. It's worth noting that he didn't charge me for diagnosing the old one even though I didn't select him to install the new one for a couple of weeks. I was up front in saying that I was getting other estimates and made no promises that he would get the new work.
