Completed a portion of the repair, got me to write him a check for a part to complete the repair stating that he would not do any more work through Angi because they didn't pay him, then disappeared with my money. DO NOT HIRE!!

there were 4 plants to be dug out with root balls below years of growth which was disclosed and made clear and price increased to be sure understood needed to be DUG out not just removed plants but deep to remove bulbs from years of growth and apply strong plant killer. We killer was applied work was given 3 hours, done in 2 hours, non of the areas of weed killer applied with hose attached even died let alone any plants. Text the business man a week later and he replied to come back but never showed. He replied to my text and said he would come out the weekend, never showed. I reached out to Angi who said they would reach out to him. He did not show nor reach out to me. Now Angi solution to the problem "we will not allow Davy to take more work" as if that fixes the problem! Angi has failed on the guarantee of making sure the work that was hired to be completed in their 90 day guarantee. I personally like Davy. I had planned to hire him for future remodeling on my home, he had the personality you would work with and up front bluntness for business but when it came to follow through with a small job such which we would have done ourselves but having bad back we could not do it and hired a professional to do it. We do not bull sh** we knew there was a language barrier with the Angi rep and made sure she went back and priced our listing again, made sure to change it to landscaping not lawn care, increased the price and called it a dig out plants and root balls, remove years of plants that are dormant. We removed all items and other plants but the ones to be removed. It couldnt have been a more cut an dry job that we paid over $300 for. I WOULD NOT USE ANGI OR HOMEADVISOR OR ANY OTHER AFFILIATE OF ANGI WHO BOUGHT OUT THESE ONLINE APPS. USE YELP AND FIND YOUR ONE PERSON AND SKIP THIS MIDDLE MAN APP WHO ARE NOT EVEN LOCAL WHO TAKE A CUT AND HIRE RANDOM PEOPLE AND THEN HAVE NO WAY TO EVEN MAKE THEM FINISH THE JOB.
