WOW!!! FINALLY I got a super technician!!! ( Morgan) He prompted 'me' as I did not get the second filter on my clean effects out of the handler. I had forgotten there was another behind the front filter. This filter is a substantial filter. About 6 inches height by 18 length and another 10 inches depth? A very serious filtration CLEAN EFFECTS system assesory that TRANE offers. It certainly is wonderful!

They broke my thermostat and also left a wire loose in my air handler which shorted out and resulted in another service call.

They answered all of the questions we had. We just did not use due to how expensive they are.

They have been absolutely wonderful. What stood out the most were the professionalism and their punctuality and just their overall work. They do a very good job. They are very good at communicating what is wrong and fixing it. I paid them $250 for a two-year contract.

The sales person was very through and answered all my questions. They weren't the cheapest but I felt I got the best deal for the money. They were on time respectful and professional. So far I haven't had any issues.

My mother has had ClimeMakers twice annual service for at least a decade so it was natural to call them when the heater misbehaved. They were professional on the phone and arrived promptly. After 15 minutes, the problem was figured to be the thermostat. Technician has one in truck which was not programmable and would be $500 installed. All other options would have cost us more as he'd need to drive back to the shop. We quick popped on Amazon to find the Honeywell Programmable thermostat of our choice for $150. It was delivered the next day and installed by us = problem solved. What left me dissatisfied and wondering was the $100 we paid for his time, the enormous amount they wanted to charge for a thermostat AND well, what;s the point of having a service agreement with a twice annual inspection if it gets you no perks. So, I figure we have paid these people $200 a year for 10 years to us we are fine yet when we have a problem it is top dollar. Not at all happy about that. That said, today, a problem I'd been telling them was there intermittently became permanent. *sigh* So I checked Angie's List and have opted to try Guy Smith as they will not be charging me $100 just to tell me what's wrong. Fingers crossed. Will comment on their page once I am on the other side of this one.

It was a good experience. I'm overly very happy with them because they were responsive in fixing issues. There were a few issues in fixing the system itself but they're right on top of taking care of what's wrong.

Who ever the real problem was going to be an addition $400 I though they were just to expensive.

I have been pleased beyond anything I could have imagined or anticipated. I have been extremely happy. It is such a contrast with the service I've had with the garden variety HVAC companies that I've used over the past 15 years. They came in with a great estimate and they knew all their specifications and outlines. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They delivered the goods. They gave a guarantee to begin with which caught my attention. They come out at stated periodic intervals to do follow up at no charge.

They showed up on time EVERY day, worked through the day with only a VERY brief break for lunch. Temperatures were in the high 90's and the job was estimated to take 4-5 days. The three man crew never gave up. After replacing all the venting under the house they connected the new unit - a dual system heat pump entirely contained outside (the air handler unit is ALSO outside now). They had to redo some of the electrical, and move the gas line. All of this was done quickly, professionally, and accurately. All three men were exceptionally courteous, and answered all questions easily. Because of the extreme heat the company loaned us two window air conditioners to use why our system was "down" and they kept the downstairs cool enough to continue to do our normal routine. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to have Climatemakers return for anything they are qualified to do!

We have been doing business with them since 1994/1995. They installed our heating/air conditioning unit and did duct work for us in the past. They are always professional and courteous and on time. They perform quality work.

I had used Climatemakers a few years ago to replace a furnace and things were fantastic. When it came time to update the A/C I returned to Climatemakers. The price was a little high, but not unreasonable compared to other estimates. Setting up the install went well and phone calls were professional and timely. The actual install was good. The workers were clean and appeared to do a good job, but not everything is as it appears. Extra electrical changes were made in my attic without my knowlege or consent. It was a change that needed to be done, but the only way I found out about it was by making a call to the office to get clarification and even then it took a day and a technician to come out to show me what they had done. A lot of work could have been avoided had the install team just told me what they did. I was also never informed that pipes would be run on the outside of my house and then covered up. This is very ugly and never discussed with me. I also had part of the yard damaged from the techs dropping a ladder on part of the garden (tomato plant holder was crushed) and the techs never said anything to me, I just found that along with the other crappy work they did. Next was another call to the office because I was concerned there was a leak because of excess water pooling up outside. I called on a Friday, but a tech didn't come out to the following Wen. Luckily the water was from something that did not cause any damage. But the tech that came out, Tim, was so arrogant that I will not allow him on my property ever again. I pointed out to the techs all the small areas that were not taken care of at the time of the install, for example loose screws in the bottom of the outside fan unit and pieces of metal that were not picked up. I recently discoverd they did not even secure the fan unit to the base unit, it easily moves so they will need to come out again to fix something they failed to do the first time. Not sure what changed over the last 3 years, but I went from being a happy customer to a customer that will warn others about this company. Stay away from Climate Makers,they sell quality products, but will do a substandard job of installing it.

Most of the technicians were very friendly. They came and explained everything to me. If there was something wrong they looked up the pricing and gave me the exact price.

They were very professional and clean. They arrived when they said that they would and explained everything to me before working on the unit.

My 23 year old gas furnace stopped working and did not respond when I followed the steps to reset the pilot light. I had used Climatemakers 4 years ago for a diagnostic furnace check and at that time, Garry, a technician, pointed out to me that the heat exchanger had rust and explained that when it finally rusted through and ultimately cracked, the unit would stop working. He did a thorough job and explained everything very well. So I knew that it was a matter of time before the unit would finally "die". So, when the unit stopped working, I called Climatemakers for a service call and requested Garry (he still works there). Garry quickly determined that not only had the heat exchanger finally cracked, but the ignition box had broken, as well. He explained in detail why it was not cost effective to try fix the unit and why I would need to replace it. At my request, he sent out a representative to give me a quote on a new unit. Mark came out that afternoon and we went over several options and I received a quote. I also obtained a quote from another company, for a unit of similar efficiency (different brand) which came in at a lower price; however, it did not include the cost of having a ground wire run to the new furnace. Mark called me the next day to check in and see if I had made a decision. Climatemakers originally did the HVAC work when the neighborhood was first built in the late 1950's, and Mark knew that I did not have a grounded wire going to the furnace unit and would need one, which would require an electrician charge. (Climatemakers coordinates the services of an electrician for the installation process, but advised that I could use my own electrician if I had one - I did not. The charge for the electrician was explained to me and I agreed, understanding that there was no additional mark-up on this service.) The Vice President, Mr. Sherman, came out the next day to take measurements for the new unit prior to the installers coming out. The installation took place the following day. Two installers came out, removed my old unit, coordinated with the electrician who installed the new grounding wire to the unit, then they installed the new unit and hauled away the old unit. They were done and gone within 5 hours. I was happy to have heat again. I am very much a detail person and like to know the "whys" of how things work. I also had a lot of questions about the warranty information. Everyone that I asked detailed questions of did a great job telling me what I wanted to know. I feel comfortable that they know what they are doing and did a quality job. As a bonus, I like that this company had installed the original HVAC in the houses in my neighborhood when the neighborhood was first built - they not only know their products, but were familiar with the houses too.

They are always very professional, prompt, and thorough. The price was competitive. I have done a lot of price comparisons. They did not try to over or under sell me as far as the equipment needed for the home.

They advertise quality for price, but my experience with them was terrible. They overpriced for mediocre work and didn't respond to follow-up problems until I made several calls, including insisting on talking to the owner several times. When installing a brand new upstairs AC/Hydro-Heating system in my attic, they just hooked new copper water lines to an existing Quest water line ( which I didn't even know I had because all piping in my home was supposed to be copper). As EVERYONE knows, Quest is no longer used due to the numerous leaks found after initial use of that type. Needlesss to say, about a year later we woke up to water coming through the bedroom ceiling from where the Quest/Copper connection was made. The entire ceiling came down, almost ruined the entire room and ended up costing me over $2000 even after my insurance claim. There were several other problems with this company as well (too many to recite) so my recommendation is NOT TO USE THEM AT ALL; there are other better companies with better pricing. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED!

We had used them before for the same installation. They were very good and provided excellent service over the years. The price was decent, but we had a history with them going back 2 decades and did not want to change. Their service personnel are always well trained and very professional.

Needed new system on short notice. Mike arrived in less than 3 hours for assessment.Thoroughly evaluated replacement system. Several other quotes were received but Climatemakers was chosen because of competitive price, level of support, and overallprofessionalism. System was installed and we are VERY happy with Climatemakers ANDTRANE.

I have been Climatemakers webmaster for 10 years. Up until today we had a contract with another company which did an "ok" job, but not until I experienced the professionalism displayed by their company have I been so impressed. I read through the 40 Point Tune-Up offered by Climatemakers and was impressed at how much they actually did compared to the other company (And the technician did everything on the list, no skimping). Total professionals from scheduling through the office personnel to the technician on site. The technician (Robert) answered every question I had (We just purchased the home and wanted to know everything about the system). The other company would check pressures and look at the filters and would be gone in less than 20 mins. Climatemakers did the complete 40 point tune-up they advertised (Took about an hour and a half). The technician was here when they said he would be, he cleaned the entire system, checked everything and left me with a great feeling that I have no worries about our a/c unit for this summer. He even spent the time to answer every question I have (As you can see, I'm a wordy kind of person!). Awesomeness is how I would describe Climatemakers. This might sound like an advertisement from their webmaster, but I too am a homeowner and value great service. I would recommend them to anyone in the Hampton Roads area.

I have been pretty much satisfied with them. The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. They were able to find a problem that had existed for seven years so I thought I had better hang on to this service. I will continue to use their services in the future.

The technician was extremely competent and professional. The work accomplished was excellent. Only issue was price. The part after researching on average cost $25.00. There was a $85 diagnostic fee that with other companies I have used before normally is deducted from the overall price or included as part of the repair/service call price. Also because the repair part was not on the truck, I had to pay a $60 fee for the technician to get part to install or schedule another appointment which would have cost approx $50. The repair and part cost was approximately $160 which would have been a good price. The additional $145 I paid was excessive. Again, the work was superb but the cost was excessive.

Climatemakers Ltd Climatemakers, is excellent! I have the same technician every time. I have been living here for 5 years and he is the only one that takes care of my unit, and he understands everything about it, because the unit I have is a very complex one. They are very quick to response to my needs. He spent 4 hours checking the system out, preventive maintenance and changed filters.
