The move could not have gone better. This was a complex move with furniture and goods tagged for 2 different locations plus a piano and a number of delicate antiques. The packing crew did an excellent job, they were also the same crew members that loaded and unloaded at the destination. We have been through many moves over the past 40 years and this was the first time there was no damage and all went well.

Could not be happier. The packing and moving crews were different people but they all did a superb job. Packing charges were fair and the estimator, Dana, gave us some good tips on where we could shave costs. No damage at all to the furniture and the only broken thing was one glass dish out of an entire crammed-to-the-gills house. The furniture was put where we needed and reassembled well. Could not have gone better. They even hauled a piano to the 3rd floor!!

Very professional and yet very personal care from start to finish. They made me feel as though I was the only one they were moving. Always responsive and pleasant to questions and changes along the way.

They were amazing. The driver was wonderful. The people that came and packed, and then unpacked over here, my furniture was intact, and they worked through some pretty hectic weather. It was like 116 degrees here, when I got here. I felt so bad for them, because they had to go to a second story, because the condo is on the second floor. I felt really bad for them, but I gave them a lot of water and told them to rest. They were amazing and very professional. The price they quoted me, and what I actually paid was less, because it goes by weight. I was very happy with that. Everything was packed wonderful. The care, they cared for all my furniture. Leaving the apartment I was in, they had stuff down on the floor so they didn't make any mess or anything. I would definitely use them again and I would definitely recommend them.

We ended up paying because they packed us and unpacked us, we ended up in the region of 10k. We had no problems, and I think we had three things shipped and that's it. I still think it's too much. They were right on time on every case.

Great! The movers were organized, friendly, and professional. I opted for the onsite walkthrough to get an estimate. I believe this was instrumental in helping them plan for the job. They brought the number of people and equipment needed to complete the job on time and within budget. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

The move went very well with two exceptions. The first was the cost. After the original estimate, we worked very hard to move a significant amount of weight on our own. The final price made our personal effort not worth the cost. They still charged very near the maximum estimate. The other was the services provided by a third party service that reassembled our grandfather clock. The clock was not reassembled securely which resulted in the assembly falling apart in 60 days. Even though the problem was a direct result of the service provider, repairs were not made because it exceeded 30 days.

Excellent! The movers were nice, professional, even grabbed some of our felt pads that we had and made sure to put them on our furniture so as to not mess up the floors in our new home. Great support staff, affordable price!

The move went very smooth and was done within the time frame of the deal purchased. We were incredibly happy with how everything went.

I got a receipt the first time and they said it would only be $675 for the move. They called me the next day and they said that they are going to charge me an extra $1200. One day was for packing and one day was for moving. The move that was charged was only for $396. I saw that they were offering a deal through Angie's List and I thought that means they were providing good service. I have sent pictures to the manager about what they were using to fill the boxes. They were stuffing only 5 garments in a box that could fit at least 20. The most important part for me was that they charged me the extra on a credit card that I had not authorized. I signed for the $675 but they charged $1896.50 without my consent. I would highly suggest that nobody uses this company. They said they are a part of united van lines but I wouldn't use them if it was my last option available. There is a manager there (Erica Grey) told me last week that she would call me back but she hasn't responded to anything for me. She is the one that told the clerk to charge me the extra $1200. They called me and asked for the new CC date so I gave it to her.

The movers were on time and took extra care and time packing up our furniture. It was raining heavily that day and they wrapped each piece carefully and not a drop got on them. We ended up paying for 2 extra hours due to the added time of wrapping. Well worth the money.

The office staff was helpful and friendly and went over everything with me well. The truck and movers showed up on time, were friendly and professional, and worked quickly, but carefully. They were able to make my entire move (2br/2ba) for me within the amount of time I had purchased, which was wonderful because I was on a tight budget. They even let me have use of moving boxes for free! All in all, a great experience and I unreservedly recommend their service.

i contacted the company before purchasing a big deal to see if they could accommodate my date as it was only about 10 days out. They could and i purchased the deal and finalized the date. They called the day before to confirm and provide arrival time. Tommy and Cole were the two young men that did my move. They were punctual, courteous, friendly, professional and very efficient. They completed the move in 3 hours! Everything was placed exactly where it should be and everything arrived in great shape. i would definitely use Brooks again and will recommend them to others.

Easy to work with company to discuss move and schedule. Moving crew was professional and hard working. They were sensitive to the customer's personal connection to their items (if you know what I mean). No cursing or rough language like some moving companies. A mirror was broken but we purchased insurance so that was taken care of (have to have realistic expectations when moving). Easy to work with office to get this addressed.

We had a visit from Mike Steele to our old home to see what we had and give us an estimate. He was very professional, friendly, and courteous. He answered all of our questions, and was very helpful. He even told us that once we booked with them, we'd be able to get free used boxes, which we definitely took advantage of. Based on our furniture and boxes, he was able to estimate number of employees and hours necessary, as well as the distance traveled, and gave us a a flat rate based on that information (which they kept to!). On the day of the move, two men showed up. They were a little behind schedule because of tunnel traffic (the company is located in Virginia Beach but they provided service on the peninsula). However, the men did not rush or become uncareful with our possessions. They worked quickly but carefully. They wrapped the furniture before putting it on the truck. We even had a few items (for lawn care, woodworking, etc.) that we thought they wouldn't move because we didn't pack it (we weren't sure how), but they brought out a cart we were able to load up with all of the oddly-shaped items and they moved those as well. It was really nice that they volunteered to do that when it actually made more work for them to transfer. Nothing was broken or missing, and the workers were very polite. We would highly recommend their services for a local move!

They came out promptly and moved me within half the time I had expected. They were wonderful and pleasant to deal with.

They promised that our furniture would be here no later then July 22nd and it didn't arrive till August 4th. They did pay us late fees. When it arrived, boxes were damaged and missing, furniture was also damaged. I had boxes labeled fragile and the bottom of the box was falling out. I had plastic totes that I had purchased to move and they were completely collapsed like something extremely heavy was placed on top. Boxes were all labeled, but on the box inventory all it was was the measurements of the boxes so it is very difficult to tell what is missing.

It turned out great. It worked for us. There were two men. It took them about three hours or so to get us moved. The thing that stood out was that they were helpful and were able to move all the heavy furniture we have.

They were actually about ten minutes early in showing up. I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family. The gentleman who was kind the head of the team, his name is Marco and he was just absolutely wonderful.

They were on time and very considerate of getting my furniture in and out of the house safely. They put runners down to protect the carpet. Overall great experience.
