Beach Windows & Siding

We got quotes from Window World, Mr. Rogers and Beach Window for our replacement windows and sliding glass door. Mr. Rogers has a beautiful Andersen, fiberglass/wood composite product, but for our needs in this house they were too pricey. Window World and Beach were similarly priced (Window World was slightly cheaper) but after looking at the window cross-sections in the showrooms and the literature on-line the Okna window that Beach was offering was the clear winner. The Okna windows significantly exceed the industry standards for R-value, air transfer and noise transfer. They look great on our house and they block out so much noise from our neighbor's noisy dog.

The salesman was professional and they had the best price. There was some miscommunication over the timing for installing the windows but I don’t remember enough to hold them accountable to that. We didn’t write anything down and what they are promising matches up with their contract. If I use them again would be determined on how well they do on this job. I would definitely get a quote from them.

Excellent and outstanding. The quality of the product and the installation was professional installed. They didn't want money up front. Made a lot of difference in the windows. The follow up was good too. Really great company and the windows look very good inside and outside.

As indicated, we have only obtained the quote at this time and did sign a contract with them. Installation is expected to begin in a couple of weeks and will take up to a week to complete. They answered every question we had and explained everything in detail. We selected a color pattern for the siding and trim and Brian called about a week later to explain he messed up and those colors were not available in the siding materials we selected. They came back with the owner, showed us other colors and we were able to pick alternatives that we are totally OK with. It was not a major foul up in our minds and we are confident we will be very happy when the job is done.

I think they are a great company. The siding was $11000 and by the time it was finished it was probably about $15000. I got various estimates and they weren’t the absolute lowest but I think I got my money’s worth, so I would grade them A for price.

Did not ultimately choose this company to replace our roof. The estimate was 30% more than the lowest bid we received for identical materials and labor. Very professional and knowledgeable salesperson.

I was impressed that I was able to get a reasonable estimate from them. They did the job quickly and faster than they quoted. The job looks good.

Beach Windows was referred to us by a friend. We looked at two other companies that advertised quite a bit. One of them (Window World) gave us a price that was in the same ball park, but they quoted their bottom line window with no e-glass. That was a substantial upgrade. The other company (Paramount) would not leave us alone. We put a card in at a home show and they constantly called. I did have a rep come out to our house, put they wouldn't give me the information or even measure without my wife present. They did not tell me that when I first made the appointment and my wife didn't want to sit through a long, high pressured sales pitch. These were replacement window for our rental unit and we just wanted to replace the windows and I'm more than capable to make a decision. I wouldn't consider Paramount just because of their sales tactics.Beach Window's rep came out, did an initial measurement and gave me an estimate. The quote was based on the higher grade e-glass and showed me the difference between their product and the ones that WW uses. We had to have 2 sills replaced and some other repair work and thought the initial price was what I expected. I signed the contract and set up a more in depth measuring of the window. After the order was made, the windows came arrived in half the time estimated-a very good thing. The price was actually $600 less than the estimate! That was a great surprise. They were very easy to work worth. I let them work mostly with my tenant, who was very pleased with the installers. When we're ready to replace the windows in our home, we'll definitely be using Beach Windows.

We met with the salesman for the first time in April. The salesman was very informative and gave us a thorough education on windows. We decided not to install the cheapest windows, but chose a better product based on the salesman's informaton and education regarding the windows. We did have one "glitch" when the salesman came out to write the contract, however it was corrected and the salesman was very apologetic. We signed the contract on April 18, 2012. The installers came yesterday, June 18, 2012, and arrived promptly at 9:00 a.m. They immediately began work and worked consistently and professionally throughout the day. They were polite and friendly. They did an excellent job and were finished by around 3:30 p.m. They cleaned up after their work and washed all the windows inside and out before they left. Our home looks beautiful. Insofar as energy savings, any leaks, etc., it will be a few months and a good rain before I will know, however, I can tell the windows are much better than our original windows and I can already tell the difference in the amount of noise heard from outside when the windows are closed. I have to admit the windows have been open ever since we got them due to the cool tempertures we had yesterday and the fact that they DO OPEN. My old living room windows did not open at all! I am glad the salesman educated us and helped us to decide on a better product. We have had other types of work done in our home over the years and this experience by far has been the best experience we have had. I highly recommend Beach Siding and Windows.

The entire crew was wonderful. They arrived on time and worked steadily and quickly. They cleaned up afterwards inside and out, removed all stickers and washed all the windows. Do be prepared for an all day installation - with 22 windows I thought it might take longer but they were finished by 4! They even saved the smaller bathroom sashes for a friend of mine to use in an art project!

Beach Windows has installed all my windows in 2 separate instances, downstairs windows and patio french doors, first then the upstairs on the second instance, both with professional and personal care. I did it in two stages...money in my pocket, and they were very willing to do it like that. I also had them do my siding which turned out great, it looks nice and it certainly has improved my home value and the heating and cooling, I purchased the siding that has the styrofoam backing so it is a nice solid product and has that extra barrier. While working they found a few pieces of lumber that need replacing, they went right to home depot purchased them and moved right along with the project. The workers were courteous, professional, all work punctual and very diligent in there tasks.

It went well. I grade them all A's. I had a problem five months later with one of the windows. They came out the same day I called to fix it at no cost. I would use them again.

After we signed the contract in December, 2011, we never heard from them again. We were told at the contract signing that the work would begin in approximately six weeks but the contract stated it could take up to 90 days. My husband called them several times to see when the work was going to begin and each time he was told by the receptionist it would start in the "next 10 days". My husband called a total of 3 times. As the 90 day limit approached, my husband and I decided that we would not renew the contract and find another company. Beach Wiindows and Siding showed up 3 days before the expiration date on our contract. After the project started, we had a day of rain and the water was coming in the house. We had recently had a new roof installed and immediately called the roofing company and they came out and said that it wasn't the roof but that when the siding was removed, the flashing was not protected and the water came in the house. I called Beach Windows and Siding and I was told by John Otocka that the project supervisor would be at my house that same day and fix the problem. He was at my home however he did not fix the problem as it rained a few days later and the same problem occurred. That was a Saturday. I called Beach Windows and Siding again and left a message and luckily someone checked the messages and John Otocka himself, a company owner, along with the project supervisor came to my home. The supervisor along with a few other team members finally fixed the problem but there was some minor damage to the interior of my home, which Beach Windows did fix. After the project was finished, they did not re-connect the outside lights and we ended up waiting almost another week for them to come back out and fix the outside lights. The house does look good and we have recieved many compliments on our home, however for the issues we had we would never use this company again nor recommend this them to anyone.

installs the windows properly not quickly - should do about 10 windows a day tops. When I finally settled on a brand of window I called the company direct found the distributor and called the installer(s) that way. I will say that after we canceled the contract Beach Windows was very professional - and I got several calls. We went down to their show room and they do carry other brands - some of which I liked a lot but now double of what I finally went with. The owner came out to meet us and was worried about a bad review. I heard good things about the company so I would just warn others as to the high pressure sales rap and beware of the low,low price on their featured window - you get what you pay for - they do have other brands - but they do work very, very fast - installers get paid per window - that can lead to sloppy work and if I remember correctly they said they could be done in a day. 20+ windows in a day - again like the price was shockingly low - the install time was shockingly quick - they use the same window as window world - and besides the lousy reviews - I just don't like the look of it. Beach never got the chance to install because I went with another brand that they didn't carry - find your window first then find an installer - if its a good enough product they'll have a good installer - I was more than happy with the company that came out to do the work.

They were very nice. They were accommodating to our schedule. We just decided not to do anything with windows this year.

We were seeking three estimates for replacement of seven windows, so contacted three top-rated companies from Angie's List. Beach was the first to respond. Their estimator did a great job surveying our requirements, testing for lead, demonstrating their product and explaining their process. The estimate was higher than we expected, but in retrospect was very reasonable, especially when you consider the lead abatement they'd have to do. When we got the estimate from the second company, it turned out to be virtually identical to Beach's (quality, price, wait time, everything!). So we decided to cancel the third estimate and compare the two. It was almost a toss of the coin. We ended up deciding to go with the competitor based only on some pretty trivial tie-breakers. Beach gave us every indication that they would have done a very good job for a very competitive price. If we need any addiitonal work done in the future we'll definitely consider them.

FANTASTIC!!! This company is professional, timely, and accurate. A couple of screen frames came damaged out of the packing and the company's foreman caught the problems before I did. The company promptly re-ordered and replaced the damaged parts. The entire job took 5 hours with a crew of 4 people. All waste was promptly cleaned up and the old windows carted off. I will be using this company again for a later custom bay window.

It was an outstanding experience. Workmen (2) arrived at the appointed time, introduced themselves, then go right to work. First, the lead workman and I did a survey of the work areas inside the house to be sure furniture, curtains, etc had been cleared away from the windows to avoid damage. When satisfied, they set to work removing all ten old windows. As windows were removed new windows were set in place. Once all the window were in place they began wrapping the trim in aluminum and caulking each window to keep moisture out. The job took the workmen about four hours to complete, amazing considering how great a job they did. The quality and craftsmanship demonstrated by these to youngmen is unequaled. They were both very good at what they do and also very friendly. They answered every question, demonstrated how the windows and screen operated, and re-caulked the corner of one window my wife was not satisfied with. All in all we had an excellent experience with Beach Windows and Siding.

From start to finish the removal of old product and installation of the new trim wrap and vinyl siding took 8 days. The work was professional and have received numerous compliments on the finished product. It looks like a new house! The crew made sure that all exposed areas on the house after removing the vinyl were covered with rain guard prior to departing each day. There were no water issues even though it rained during installation. After the work was complete, the crew cleaned up and departed. I was unable to go over the completed project until several days later and I found 4 discrepancies. I called the office went over what I found and the crew was out less than 3 hrs later and all discrepancies were resolved in less than an hour. The crew provided a quality installation and Beach Window provides a quality product with an excellent guarantee. Any issues or problems call and Beach Window will resolve them.

Installation and service went extremely well. They set a date showed up on time. Finished the job in one day and cleaned up. I was extremely happy with the installation and follow up.

They were really good. I like the quality of work. I was very pleased with them.

They were kind of pricey, they charged a 50 dollar estimate fee but what is great about them is that if you don't use them they refund back the money.

Because of the tax credit end date, there was a huge backlog of installs. Beach Window was able to get my windows installed by the required date. They did an excellent job. Missed a few locations on caulking but were out immediately to fix. The installers note some small defects in the new sashes. The company ordered new sashes and installed promptly after they came in. Using the company again on redoing all the trim on my house and installing new siding on the front.

On the day of installation, the crew actually arrived early and got right to work. They were all VERY professional and were very particular about our carpet and furnishings as they did their work. Clean up both inside and out was excellent. The job foreman had us do a walk about with him before we made payment. We are very pleased with this company and have already reccommended them to others.
