Beach Home Inspections

Description of Work: We were in the process of selling our home. Our buyers hired this company to do a home inspection. While the report he put together was quite impressive (colored pics, etc.) the content was not. He stated the faucet in the kitchen was plumbed backwards. We paid three (3) licensed plumbers to verify the faucet was NOT plumbed backwards to the tune of $300. He stated the grounds in the electrical outlets were bad. Again, we had to pay an electrician $250 to verify that there was NOTHING wrong with the outlet grounds. He stated the dryer vent needed to be secured and sealed. If was sealed any tighter, it would not have vented as designed. He said there was no smoke detector or CO2 detectors, there are smoke detectors on every level of the home and a CO2 detector was added at the time we converted to a gas fireplace at eye level in the room where the fireplace is located. | |He said nothing about the main joist that was rotted nearly in half under the house. He said nothing about the thermostat on the upstairs furnace that had quit working. | |This guy is a rip-off. The realtors are no better.
