Overall , they did what they said they would do.

The whole team was wonderful! They were hard workers and Tim and Billy really got the job done fast and it looks great! My dad was in town and he said what they did in a couple days would have taken him weeks! These guys do fast work that looks amazing. Another contractor who did an estimate was set that the fence couldn't go the way I wanted it but Armor not only made it work but it just looks stunning! My dogs will be safe in my yard and the neighbors all have commented on how nice the workmanship was! I plan on replacing another older sercion when my budget allows and I will DEFINATELY use Armor for that job!

Tim came out to the house on Monday and we did a walk around the property to decide what the most economic approach to putting a fence up would be. We just moved here and our budget is very limited. Initially I was interested in a vinyl fence, but due to budget constraints, went with a 4' high cedar fence, with the thought that I will replace it with a vinyl one in the future. Billy and his team came out that week and started work. They were done within 2 days and after seeing the new fence, I won't be getting a vinyl one; I'll be keeping this beautiful fence the guys made for us. When Billy arrived, a walkthrough was done to confirm the layout of the backyard fence. Billy made some recommended adjustments to make the fence appear more professional. Initially I was cutting corners to save the few extra dollars, so the guys gave me a really good deal to and quot;do the job rightand quot;. After the work was complete I was just so impressed how this and quot;temporaryand quot; fence turned out. I hope it lasts the next 30 years. These guys take great pride in their work. They are courteous, professional and on time. There wasn't a single negative experience from phone call, to estimate, to work, to payment completion. With over 25 years of experience, Billy knows his fencing. If you're in the area and need a fence built; these are the guys for you.

Day 1: All of the vinyl materials were delivered to the site and inventoried by Billy and his crew; wood fencing was removed and the posts were extracted; and the size of each post hole was expanded. Day 2: Billy and his crew worked all day, in the rain, installing and concreting the vinyl posts; installing and leveling about half of the fence, including the lattice-work on top; and installing the new gate. Day 3: The remainder of the fence was installed and leveled by midday. Billy and his three-man crew are courteous, efficient and effective professionals. Their work ethic is simply outstanding.

Billy does quality work and did an excellent job taking down my old fence and installing a new one. From start to finish it took about 3-4 days. He also did a lot of extras like trimming tree branches away from my house without charge. He installed two gates-a double gate in my carport and a single gate on the side of the house. A couple minor complaints-I asked them not to use a wheelbarrow in my yard because the tire wasn't inflated, but they used it anyway. They used a bag of my recycled glass to fill in a concrete post. It wasn't the end of the world but they should have asked since recycled glass isn't cheap. Thus the B rating on professionalism. Overall it was a good experience and I would hire them again if I needed any fence work.

Billy and his team gave us the lowest estimate and had the best reviews on Angie's list so we hired him right away. He had us meet him at Home Depot to buy the materials so we could use our military discount, then subtracted that from the $3000 price. Then, he had us call and pay for the right nails and also deducted that from the $3000 that was quoted. They showed up two days later and moved the shed back onto our property and not only trimmed trees for us but also removed a huge magnolia tree for us...at no extra charge (we gave him $200 cash for that). They were quick, personable and very kind. And, let me just say that I have never seen such a beautiful fence. It is straight as an arrow and exactly what we wanted. He even built in a 4' gate and a 5' gate per my request. Overall the experience was excellent and I really enjoyed getting to know the guys. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I've given up, if a company wants the work they need to be accessible. Job goes to the contractor that actually answers the phone.

Called both numbers provide by this vendor. The first number 757.495.1869 is no longer associated with this company. A young female answered the phone both times I called and disavowed any knowledge of this company. The second number provided 757.513.0556 is a cell phone answering recording which states the mailbox for William Winsor is full and no messages can be left.

We asked them to take a look at it and at least get back to us on how he could reinforce that gate so that it wasn't sagging down below where it needed to be for safety sake with the pool. We called them three times and they never got back to us. We told them that we thought it would be a small job with maybe a support pole dug into the ground.

Once I got a hold of the guys at Armor Fence, everything was great and they always responded to me quickly. When they came for the estimate, they provided some recommendations that actually probably cut into how much money they made on the job, and also provided a lot of confidence that they would do a good job. Within about a week and a half of the estimate, they were at our house putting up the fence. Billy, Tim, and the rest of their team did a great job. First day, they dug holes and put up all the posts (despite the dry/hard ground). The second day they put up the pickets and the two gates. They did run about 5 pickets short, so they came back the next morning to finish up the last little bit. They also did a nice job of cutting bushes as required to get the fence in around the edges of our property. The fence is beautiful and study, and the work was done quickly and professionally. And our dog is happy to be able to run around off leash. There was a really minor scheduling hiccup, since neither of us had remembered that the Monday they were supposed to start working was Memorial Day (and therefore we could not purchase the materials needed). However, they were very good about communicating with me on this (and everything else about the job), and were able to start the fence the next day. Everyone on their team was friendly and easy to talk to.

I got two estimates for this job, from Armor and Hercules. Armor asked $800 less to do a more attractive design than Hercules had proposed. Tim was on time to do the estimate. They were a day late in starting the job because of weather delays on a prior job,but they stayed in touch with me; I didn't have to chase them. When they started the next day they worked quickly and efficiently. In conversation with the owner, it came up that they also handle tree removal. There was a tree in a neighbor's yard that we had been wanting to have removed for some time (and we had permission). The perfect time to do it was when the old fence was out and before the new one went in. I had almost tried to contract with a tree company to do it, but decided that I'd never get two separate companies to coordinate their timing. Having Armor do it all made it simple. The price on the tree was comparable to a previous estimate that I had received, at a time when I decided not to have it done. Remarkably, this didn't really add to the completion time of the fence; they called in some extra people and finished on schedule or even a little early. They also did a little extra work, which included building a small section of 4' fence and a 4' high gate, at no extra charge. They were courteous and professional throughout. The only area where I couldn't quite give them an A+ is cleanup after the job. The cleanup was decent, but there was a small amount of debris left in the yard and a large hammock in a heavy wood frame was not returned to where it belonged. This is a minor inconvenience, though; considering what they did for us on the whole I'm still more than satisfied and would highly recommend them.

Couldn't be happier. I was a little nervous that my job wouldn't be big enough after getting blown off by another company. I got a call back quickly after leaving a message and Tim came out the same day to give an estimate. Tim worked with me every step of the way and went out of his way with some last minute issues with the fencing distributor. I arranged to have the new fence installed at the same time as new concrete was being poured, but due to no fault of Armor they were delayed and waited for the concrete to set before they completed the job. Ensured the job was complete and returned calls in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend and will be doing future business with them.

After a slightly slow start with return calls, the owners were out of office for a few days it went GREAT. Once we established communication it was a simple process to proceed. I stated the work completed above. They enclosed our back yard with 2 gates one 4 feet for everyday in and out traffic and a larger 5 foot gate for ATV's inland out along with landscaping company and their equipment!! Very Happy with the job done!

Armor was installing a fence for our neighbor. We liked the fence and inquired about our fence. They gave us a great price for the fence, the removal of a tree and the trimming of another tree. They measured the fence and then ordered the material. They worked nonstop till the job was completed. The tree was cut very low, barely a stump.The crew was very kind and hard working. While doing our fence our neighbors began asking them for services, some having had bad experiences with other companies. The whole block seems to have found a very reputable company in which to provide there fencing needs. They felt more like friends by the end of the job.

I called Armor Fence and Deck for a quote for a white vinyl privacy fence (6ft with lattice at top) for my townhome's backyard. (Our old wood fence was warped, rotten and disgusting looking and desperately needed to be replaced.) Billy and Tim came out to measure and give me a quote. The price was great and they had very good ratings here, so I hired them on the spot. One great thing about how they work is that they contact the fencing distributor with the measurements and type of fencing required. Then the distributor calls me directly to confirm the type of fence desired. Then I paid the distributor. Of course, this means the fence itself is mine... even if I change my mind about Billy and crew doing the installation. The fence was delivered two days later, and Billy and Tim helped the distributor's delivery man unload it at my house. Tim called to schedule a day to install the fence which was the following Wednesday. The guys came out as scheduled and worked like crazy to get the job done. I have a rather large backyard for a townhome, so the work was completed the following day. They stayed late on the first day to ensure my neighbor's side of the fence was up. (They have a small dog that uses their backyard.) They did a fantastic job! We love the fence and can't get over the difference. Our yard looks beautiful now! My neighbor also hired them to do her fence as well as remove some trees. Another neighbor intends to call them for a quote as well. Looks like we weren't the only ones impressed with the job. :)

Armor Fence came out on April 13, 2012 to start working on my fence. They installed the post to the fence and cemented them into the ground. Once they were done, they cleaned up there mess and told me they would be back the next day to start putting the fence up. On April 14, 2012 the crew arrived at 1100 to start working on the fence, by 5pm they had the fence compelety finished with a little section to go. Mr. Williams the owner said that they will finish the fence today rahter than coming back Monday like they originally said they would,I was happy with that. Once they were completed with the fence, the crew took me and my husband around to show us the fence and explain what they had done and ask if we had any questions, they explained everything they did and why they did what they did on certain areas of the fence. Needless to say, we were very pleased and satisified with the fence and the overall job of the fence and the company. We were happy that we went with them and we would go with them and because they were very professional and explained everything to us.

Billy built me the perfect fence! He custom built a privacy fence that is not only utilitarian, but it is very pleasing to the eye. He worked quickly but has a great eye for detail and listened to what I wanted. He was professional and courteous and was attentive to my concerns for my dogs safety during the construction. He and his crew were great to work with, I love my fence and I would most certainly use his services again.

I called Armor on Friday and they came Sunday to estimate the job. I wanted a fence that would prevent small animals from entering my yard but didn't overly restrict my view of the wooded area behind my home. They designed a 4ft high Sundowner with 1.5 " spacing between boards and 1" off the ground. They took meticules care with all the measurements. I couldn't be happier with their work.

Billy and his crew did a great job. They returned my call promply when I left my request for a quote. He came out the next day and gave me a quote. When I decided to go with them, they were able to come out that week and start the job. It was a fair price for the work, plus he cleaned up some debree and hauled it all away. I love the new fence and highly recommend them for anyone needing promt, professional, fence installation.

They returned our call for an estimate very promptly and was able to start quickly. They were very professional, worked very hard and built a high quality wood privacy fence around our yard. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They were exceptional. The owner, Billie Winsor was on the job at all time. Very personable and professional.

Overall, it was great! Billy was very energetic, enthusiastic, and showed a good eye for details. I love the quality/look of the fence he built. All of the posts and boards are level and even, getting compliments from the neighbors. The gates are awesome too. The posts he used are 2x wider than the previous posts, the hardware is a lot nicer, and the gates open/close solidly/evenly. The only suggestion I could offer him is to be more proactive regarding scheduling delays. My job was to start on Fri/Sat. Smoke from the Dismal Swamp fire caused the job before mine to run longer, bumping mine to Sunday. I didn't hear anything from Billy until he and his guys showed up on Sunday. The fence survived and quot;stormingand quot; on Aug 27th (aka Hurricane Irene) with no issues. Two other neighbors had significant fence damage (one with a relatively new fence). Billy's fence held great!

Do not request their services if your job isn't over $2000 because obviously it's a waste of their time. Today it's storming, I have three dogs and I'm just watching my fence being blown away! Billy ISN'T reliable and don't know how to keep an appointment!
