Airight Duct Cleaning and Dryer Vent Cleaning

It is difficult for me to be home to have services provided during the day, they responded right away and were very attentive to my time restraints. Their prices are very reasonable.

They arrived on time and did a walk thru of what they were going to do. They started immediately on the cleaning. The estimated time they gave me to finishing the job was very close to the time the work was completed. They were very professional and made certain they cleaned up any mess.

First of all, Dana called me the day before to verify the time, 1130-1200. Now I had just gone thru the process of doing a lot of repairs to my house, when I have been given times, although everyone who gave me a time frame was there within that time, Dana was there right at 1130, but I was not. I ended up being 7 minutes late. He and his crew were very pleasant and professional. When I spoke to Dana, I told him that I had just had my wood floors refinished and they needed to remove their shoes, he advised me this would be a safety hazzard, but ensured me they would be very careful. I planned on only spending the $385.00, when they removed my vents, I was sure they would have to change into hazmat suits. Dana explained that there was so much mold and fungus in my vents that he could clean them, but in order to get the house sanitized, he would recommend that I get the sanitizing done. He was not pushy like most salesmen, I really felt like instead of making a sale, he was giving some excellent advice. I had done some research on getting my vents cleaned and spoke to my girlfriend who is a physicians assistant, and she told me that people can get sick from the mold and fungus in their vents. Well, I ended up getting the sanitizer done, and I am SO GLAD I did it, my house smells fabulous. Since I had just gotten all of my rooms painted, Dana also suggested that I replace all of my vent covers, which I was going to do anyway, but it only cost $8.00 per cover and I didn't even have to do it. One more thing he did that he didn't even charge me for, he secured the hose to my air handler system in the attic. The person that replaced it didn't do it. When the job was complete, they cleaned up and there was not a scratch on my wood floor, and believe me, I was crawling around checking. Even though I had planned on spending the extra money, it was so well worth it. I would HIGHLY recommend Dana and Airight Air Duct Cleaning to ANYONE who is looking to get their money's worth, to get an excellent, high quality job done. I am so satisfied that I will recommend him to everyone who will listen to me. The only thing, make sure you are home when he says he will be there.

I had dealt with Dana in the past and was pleased with his work. He and his team were very fast and thorough. They did show up too early to my house without calling but since I was home I didnt mind. Work was done very well but too high priced in my book.

He may be an excellent dryer vent cleaner, but he is of no use if you want a dryer vent inspected and repaired. I was told in advance of the $139 service call charge to clean and inspect the dryer vent, but he didn't clean the vent. I was willing to pay for the repair, but he didn't offer to provide one. When I called him later in the week to question the amount he charged given the service he provided, he responded that $139 covered the cost of two techs and gas to travel to my Ocean View condo. I guess all of the high scores accumulated by a contractor can sometimes be misleading.

A recommendation would be to get your ducts checked every 8 years or so and don't wait as long as we did.

The service was prompt, but they soon found that though the dryer vent was clogged (it had not been cleaned in several years), the nest was not in the dryer vent, but a bathroom fan vent. The serviceman called to explain my options and costs; no pressure, just wanted to know how I wanted to proceed. They worked on the vents for almost 4 hours and even replaced part of the venting to make sure everything was done correctly. I would definite use them again.

They showed up and quickly made necessary repairs to my dryer vent and unclogged it. Service was great.

I realized the Dryer vent needed cleaning, made a call to these guys after checking reviews at approx. noon. They showed up in under an hour and became a tornado of efficiency! They were very, very friendly and professional. Got Immediately to work and finished the job within 20 minutes. If I come in need of duct cleaning ever again I will call them. Definitely recommended!

Dana and 2 other employees arrived on time. They completed all the above described work quickly, efficiently, and cleaned up afterwards. The duct work had not been cleaned in 10 years and we have allergy sufferers in the house including the dogs. I included additional services at the recommendation of Dana, the owner, but there was no pressure to do so. The new filters only have to be vaccumed once a month and washed occasionally and will last 3-5 years which is a great savings on monthly filters. The entire job took 3 hours. I also had this company clean out my dryer vents previously and they did an excellent job with this also. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.

They arrived on time, set up their equipment at once and worked until finished. Then they cleaned up everything. Excellent workers. I have had the before and will continue to call them.

I called him and explained that I was an Angie's List member and he offered me a special deal wich was about 15$ less than the regular price nomally charged. He did a very good job in cleaing my vent. He arrived promtly and he told me the job would be 30-45 min and he was here exactly 30 min. There were 3 guys that did this service for me and they were all kind. I think that me stating that I called from Angie's List was what got me excellent service.

A crew of people came in and worked all day clearing and treating the air ducts. They were all very professional and did a great job. I only gave them a B on price instead of A because 775 was slightly higher than the original quote over the phone, but we also got some extra treatments. I work in sales and feel it is the job of the person giving the quote to start high and then go lower, not start low and go higher. I would definitely recommend this service to all of the friends.

The Technicians initially cleaned our clothes dryer duct and did so professionally, efficiently and at a reasonable costs. After talking with us about the age of our home and based on some observations he had made, we also decided to have them return and clean the air ducts for our entire home as it had not been done since the house was built. Plus, living on the beach with the salt air made the need even more urgent. They arrived on the day and time indicated with a good sized crew. They completed the work in half a day and we can already tell the difference in air quality.

All went okay. There was confusion when vent covers were to be put back on ceilings. We have different style covers in some rooms. Technnician was aware of this and offered to sell me new vent covers so all would match. Tech did not clean vent covers according to the room they were in and; therefore, did not know which cover went on which opening when it was time to put them back. Then they said that some of the covers didn't fit. Had I known that all the vents were washed together I would have made notes to myself as to where they went. We do not know if vents were placed where they were originally. Also quite a few extra expenses offered. Was told dryer vent cover was dry rotted and need to be replaced ($25), one return was not caulked around edges and should be removed, cleaned and caulked ($25). In hindsight, I should have just told them to clean the return cover and we could caulk ourselves.

This company is a pleasure to work with. Every step of the way Dana gave me cost effective ways to get the most out of my home's duct system. My home was built in 1950 and, along with original ductwork, there was some shoddy new ductwork added. First, my dryer vent was a fire hazard and very inefficient. After Dana replaced it and cleaned everything out completely, I am drying clothes in less than half the time. What a difference! I am sure I will save on my electric bill. Then he inspected every inch of ductwork in the attic and under the house. Because I will be staying in my home forever, he suggested rerouting a duct in the attic to improve air flow to a room addition that was always either too hot in the summer or to cold in the winter. This should also save me money in the future. Third, my ductwork under the house was my biggest concern. It was so dirty and the insulation was torn and falling off everywhere. Two of the men spent most of the afternoon going over every bit of the ductwork in the crawlspace, repairing the ducts and replacing insulation to make the system more efficient. Everything was cleaned. I really appreciated their attention to detail and care in getting this really messy job done right. To finish up, every area they worked on in my home was vacuumed and cleaned up so that there was a minimum of dust for me to clean. Dana stuck by his estimates and only charged extra where I agreed to one minor repair and to replace rusted grill covers. They went above and beyond to get everything done correctly. They treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy. I would highly recommend them. As a long-time homeowner, finding a company like this is an unexpected pleasure.

They were quick, efficient and professional throughout. Will definitely be using them again in the future to flush out all our duct work when it needs to be done in a couple of years!

We had significant issues with our dryer duct work over a 4 month period. We had 3 different companies come out to look at it, 2 of which had "cleaned it out." With the problem recurring on a regular basis. Finally I called Airight based on their Angie's List rating and they exceeded their stellar reputation. They said they could work me end at the end of the day I called, showing up at 6 o'clock. I appreciated them working me in on short notice and late in the day. They quickly diagnosed several issues and gave me all the options. They cleaned out the vent, clearing an enormous birds nest out that other companies seemed to missed. They were extremely thorough in the process, coming in from both directions, using both blown air and a rooting tool to clean the vent. They also installed a new cover to the exit of the home to prevent future problems. Finally, they cleaned up the entire grounds of the lent shot from the duct work. This is one of the best experiences I have had working with a company as we settle into our new home and I will use them in the exclusively for all duct work related items. They are a bright spot in a frustrating market.

Dana and his team where OUTSTANDING! He did exactly what we talked about over the phone as well as provided me with additional information that would help increase my air flow in the garage. We set an appointment and Dana was able to get to us a day earlier which was great for our busy schedule. He even waited until I arrived; I was running a litte late; sorry about that and thank for being so understanding. Everyone had a great attitude and they completed the job in a timely manner. I wasn’t there when they did it but my husband was real happy with what they did. They got here on time. They gave a quote of $400 but when they got here and saw upstairs the price changed as the vents needed to be replaced and stuffs like that. We just had brought the house four years ago and we hadn’t got the air ducts done. So we just didn’t get the air ducts cleaned but there were some things that needed to be fixed as well. They were honest. They even went into the house and didn’t some stuff because some stuff weren’t secured properly. So one of the techs got the ducts secured. We were happy with them.

My husband noticed that no air was coming through our outside dryer vent and discovered that it had become disconnected beneath the house. I e-mailed AIRight through Angie's List, and Dana called to schedule an appointment for yesterday evening. He called me back a little later to say that they might need to move the appointment because of a thunderstorm, but also said that he and his coworkers would be here if the rain stopped in a timely manner...which is exactly what happened. They reconnected and cleaned out the dryer duct, and also provided us with recommendations for making our dryer duct and crawlspace better. The whole team was very professional and pleasant.
