Fortunately, the work was scheduled within a few days of our initial contact with Steve due to an opening on their work schedule. Mark, the repairman, showed up on time, and did an outstanding job on the posts and the siding. The workmanship was high quality, and precisely what we needed done. We would definitely hire Ace Home Improvements again, and highly recommend them for the type of work for which they advertise.

It was a difficult job, because my house is a century house and the door size was non-standard. They did an excellent job of installing a good steel door into the space and building from the frame to the walls. I was very pleased with the final product, as well as the promptness and professionalism of the work crew. Will definitely contract them again in the future.

Description of Work: My front porch is made of brick covered with slate. The porch was settling and cracking, and some of the slate segments were coming up and out. There's no way I could afford to have it repaired.

+ 0 moreI requested a quote from ACE through Angie's list and received a call within 10 minutes of my request. Steve contacted me and was professional and helpful. He provided a reasonable quote on the phone and said someone would call me within the next day to schedule the repair. Mark then contacted me and was able to come out just a day later and even accommodated my roommates sleeping hours by coming later in the day as she works night shift. He took a look at my leak and then repaired both sides of my addition that were leaking. He was professional and respectful and did exactly as I asked. I will definitely be using this company again when I go to do more home improvements or handywork around my home. Thank you guys for the awesome service!

That went so well, I hired them again for the 6' privacy fence around my backyard. The fence is perfect, including working through some tough issues with a sloped backyard... it came out better than I could have imagined. I'll definitely be hiring Ace (and Josh) the next time I need work done. Outstanding work, great value for the price, and highly professional! A+++

+ 3 moreOur old 16' x 24' deck had many warped, broken and rotting boards. The rails were slivered. The deck was an ugly mess ready for demolition and replacement. We chose Ace Home Improvements for several reasons. They arrived promptly on the date and time scheduled to give an estimate. Josh, the project manager came in person to measure and get the details of what we wanted which included two small ramps for our elderly, handicapped dogs to use going up and down the deck steps. He also gave us some additional ideas that would improve the use of our deck. Within days, we received an estimate and a potential start date. Of the 5 companies we contacted for this job only 3 ever came out and called /emailed estimates of which we felt Ace was the best for this project and our budget. Weather kept Ace from starting on the agreed upon date, but they kept in touch with us to inform us of the new start date. Josh was there every day until finish and did most of the building himself. When the project was finished all tools, materials and rubbish were totally removed leaving our yard absolutely clean. We love the deck and have recommended Ace Home Improvements to two other families.

+ -1 moreThe crew showed up around 8:30, which consisted of Josh and Brian. Josh measured the area of work to be done and then we discussed color of steps that I wanted. Josh went to pick up supplies and emailed me 3 different color choices. I was glad that he did that since the original color we spoke about was out of stock. They started working on the steps and had the job finished by the end the day (5:30). Josh was professional, friendly and even made a suggestion on the steps, which turned out great. I would definitely use Ace Home Improvements again and would hope to see Josh again to perform the work..

+ 3 moreWindows were ordered and received in about two weeks. Mark and crew started on schedule but the overall work completion was delayed by rain and the Christmas and New Years holidays. The window installation was accomplished first and was completed in two days. The remaining trim work was impacted by several days of rain. Mark and his crew have many years of experience in window and trim wrap and the completed job shows their exceptional craftsmanship. The overall exterior appearance of the house has been greatly improved.
Description of Work: Replaced 24 existing windows with double hung/double pane windows with sculptured grids in the sashes. Replaced one picture window with double pane window. Wrapped all fascia boards with aluminum and covered all overhang soffits with vinyl soffit material. Wrapped all exterior window frames and door frames. Replaced gutters with aluminum seamless gutters with leaf protection. Size of home is approximately 2700 sq ft.

+ 0 moreArrived on time and started removal of windows, A few if the windows had a great deal of wood rot. Three required the bottom part of the frame to be replaced.. I was told this was included in the price. The door had wood rot also and the old door and frame needed replacement. Had to kick in another 500 due to the added work required in the door and three windows. This was alright with me, felt it was a fair deal. I was told it would take two days but it took four days for all the added work.
