The owner was very apologetic which I was too ! + 0 moreThe only issue I had is it was a little hard to get a hold of them initially. I had to call and leave three messages, but at least they called me. Other Handyman I left messages with never even called back. Once the work started they were very quick, efficient and honest. I couldn't take time off one of the days so, I went home and unlocked the door for them (They needed access to the back yard because, my neighbors have blocked off the exits to our units), and when they were done they cleaned up and locked up the house. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: Replaced the wood soffit front in back with new siding, replaced gutters, replaced broken siding, covered Chimney with siding, and finished siding remaining places on house that needed it, they also replaced some existing siding that was improperly installed by another company.

Description of Work: Although I contacted Ace, someone from a different company called and provided a very high estimate. Since it appeared that Ace referred by call out to anther Handyman, I did not use him. I was disappointed that I could not get in contact with Ace.

+ -1 moreWhen I called Ace Home Improvements to ask about an estimate not only did he match my lowest estimate price over the phone but they were able to come right out that same evening to get started. It only took several hours to actually complete the job and they were professional and friendly. The worker even helped me out with another minor problem I was having on something else while waiting for the plasterer to arrive at no charge. I would recommend this company for any handyman work. A couple of days after the work was completed I even received a phone call from the company to check to see if I was completely satisfied with their work and their people. A good way to run a business.
Description of Work: I had a folding stairway installed in the attic of my home. The opening was just a square hole that I had to use a step ladder to gain access. The opening was not long enough to add a stairway and the ceiling had to be cut, reframed and replastered. They did a great job.

+ 2 moreDO NOT HIRE THEM FOR WINDOW INSTALLATION, CONCRETE BEING POURED AROUND THE POOL AND DRIVEWAY. I had two sets of brick steps poured and got verification from several building contractors that they did a really bad job. They promised when I hired them that they would clean up after themselves, which they did not do. they asked for a list of maintenance jobs I would like to be done before they left. The property was left uncleaned and the list I gave them was not completed. When I would ask them why things were not being done or done properly, I was given a lot of excuses & delay tactics were used. This company is part of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating but I do not see how someone who does this kind of work is rated that highly. Another thing is that they do not see anything wrong with their quality of work and I find that to be a really big problem. I am not satisfied with the entire job, company or workers so I am seeking legal advice.
Description of Work: I hired them to install 2 double wide windows, concrete poured around our pool and driveway, 2 sets of brick steps and 2 brick walls.

+ -1 moreStill cannot get a adequate response from anyone about status of my window replacement order. They seem to just want new business and don't care about continued customer service. When calling the number, you always get an answering machine. If you leave a message it takes days/weeks to get a response unless you are sly to say that you want a quote for new work on a new home or construction.
Description of Work: Ace originally installed all new windows back in 2000 with lifetime replacement warranty. Now in 2007 one of the windows shattered. I could never get any of my calls returned for a replacement until I left a message saying I wanted a quote for new windows then someone finally called back. They ordered a replacement window and said it would take two weeks to arrive and four weeks later, no update nor any returned calls. Their customer service is TERRIBLE!!!! Wish I went with a different company.
