Siding/windows/doors. The siding/window/doors are beautiful. My house was falling apart and they put it back together. Enjoyed work with the siding subcontractor.

Everything went great. Very courteous and professional installation crews. Crews cleaned up daily; hardly knew they were here. Would highly recommend to others.

We discovered that we have a leak coming in from the wall in our living room. From the looks of things the water is most likely coming in under the vinyl siding where there is a valley in the roof line. The day after Thanksgiving (29 November) I came here to angieslist and saw that Ace Home Improvements has an A rating, so I called them. No answer (I presumed they were taking a long weekend for Thanksgiving), but I left a voice message asking them to call me back. When I had not heard back from them on Monday morning (2 December) I went to their web site and filled out a form requesting a quote. I received a call at work on Wednesday afternoon and talked with a gentleman. He told me it would be either $200.00 to repair if no siding had to be removed, or $400.00 if they had to take the siding off, plus any additional costs for things such as rotted wood replacement. So far everything was going well. Very reasonable prices. He told me he would have one of his foremen call me to arrange a time to come out. At that time I made it clear that I work, and would need to be called at my work number during the day, or at my home number after 5 PM. He said that would not be a problem. When I arrived home Friday evening, I saw I had a message on the answering machine. I barely intelligible man said he was from Ace Home Improvements, I think he mumbled his name was Ed. He was calling to get me on the schedule to come perform the work. Please call him back. He left no phone number. He called my house at 11:30 AM. I called the Ace Home Improvement number listed on angieslist. Again, no answer. Seeing how it was after 5 PM I was not surprised. I left a message telling them that I could not understand what the guy was saying, that he did not leave a phone number, called my home number at 11:30 AM even though I made it clear I needed to be called at my work number (which they have, since they called me there initially) and that I was NOT impressed with their service. I asked them to call me as soon as they received the message. We fought water coming into our living room as it rained all weekend. I received no phone call on Monday (9 December) or Tuesday (10 December). I had my wife call the number listed here on angieslist just after 4 PM on our way home Tuesday (10 December). Again, no answer. In the business description Ace Home Improvements is described as "Member of BBB with zero complaints and a A+ rating" which is not true. While they do have a A rating, I see that Ace Home Improvements have had several Government actions against them bbb.org/norfolk/business-reviews/home-improvements/ace-home-improvements-in-virginia-beach-va-1124 I am through with Ace Home Improvements I am through with Ace Home Improvements and advise others to be very cautious if they decide to deal with them. .

This was a professional and smooth transaction. The crew DEF knew what they were doing, and cleaned up well after themselves. My particular door installation was a challenge to say the least, and they got the job done in a reasonable time with accurate results. Along with the lifetime warranty on the door installation, I'm totally satified with the service rendered... if something isnt quite right, just tell them abnout it and they will quickly respond as was in my case. I will use them again in the future.

I am satisfied with the work performed. Their was a minor communication snafu on both parties, myself and company however the owner Steve and foreman Eric worked with me until the job was complete and to my satisfaction! I really appreciate the time they took to explain the job to me.

In home sale was informational, price quote given, received call to do work which took about three weeks. Steve tried to work with my schedule. Rod and crew showed up on time, explained what needed to be done. Completed work in two days. Very professional manner.

I got bids from 5 contractors on my room addition. I decided to go with Ace even though he wasn't the very lowest bid because the owner, Steve Lyon, took the time to explain the process to me and listened to what I had to say about what I was looking for. His crew did an awesome job. They picked up after themselves, which was important to me. Mr. Lyon returned my calls in a timely manner. He took care of a couple of problems that were found during construction that were not part of the original contract. He suggested changes along the way that made the end result better. I absolutely love my house now and am glad I made the decision to use Ace Home Improvements. I have recommended this company to several friends and will continue to do so.

Wonderful. I thought it would take a couple of days his crew was in and out and had the roof completed within one day. He was professional and courteous.

Amazing crew of 3 worked great together. Siding was up very quickly. Attention to detail was higher than could ever be expected. Flashing was given unique details both around the windows and the sections of roofline that won't have gutters. Overall....yard was cleaned up everyday. Only bummer was the new backdoor we wanted wouldn't work in the existing space. No fault of the company. Old house and cabinets/countertop in the way. This crew showed a real sense of pride in their work and they changed this dated 1200 sq ft capecod into a stunning "country cottage" that is beautiful to come home to. arrived on time and the old garage door was removed and the new one was installed as planned. I was thinking it was a bit high but my wife said to suck it up, it was worth it.

This work was an Angie's List Big Deal. I had a bit of difficulty scheduling the mason, as he only did this sort of work on Saturdays, and had to work it around other jobs. Once we established a date, it went extremely well. The morning he was to do the wok was very cold and I asked him to delay the start until after it warmed up, which he readily agreed to. He arrived at the scheduled time, performed the tuck pointing in a timely and highly professional manner, and cleaned up after himself when the work was done. I was very pleased with the outcome and would gladly hire him again for work of this sort.

Steve Lyon was very responsive in returning my calls. We were able to agree on a price over the phone and set up a time for his crew to come over during my wife's day off. Addtionally, Steve indicated that the person performing the job (Joe) would call my wife first thing in the morning to let her know when he would be able to make it over to do the job. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a mis-communication between Steve and Joe concerning the job so she never received a call and ended up waiting four hours until Joe arrived. Once he arrived the work was completed very rapidly and professionally, Addtionally, they honored our 10 percent off Angie's List coupon!

Ace Home Improvements' customer service is great. The person who did the estimation just really explained things. When they came back, they fixed those same things quickly. They have a very fare price and very experienced.

They did a horrible job. They started in May 2012 and just finally finished in January 2013. They look nothing like the rest of the windows in my house. In the beginning he told me they would match and when, they did the work they installed completely different windows. I had to have people correct the plaster and paint because the windows didn't fit correctly. When they took the window out, they destroyed the siding. The siding is cream colored and they added yellow siding. I also came home one day and found one of the workers sleeping on the floor in my house because he didn't feel well.

I went on-line to Ace's website and used their tool to schedule an appointment for them to come out to give me an estimate on a rental property. It took them two days to get around to scheduling an appointment. I waited for 30 minutes on a cold, rainy, windy day and the estimator never showed, nor did he call. I finally received a call the following afternoon from the estimator saying he was sorry - the weather was bad, blah, blah, blah and he wanted to reschedule. I explained he should given me the common courtesy of calling me the day before to let me know he was going to be unable to make it as I do not live at the property and had to go out of my way to be there. I did not reschedule.
