AAA McCoy's Moving & Hauling

I had used McCoys numerous times in the past. Service was excellent. This time they subcontracted me without my knowledge. Their subcontractor destroyed my headboard. McCoys has not helped me resolve my issue, I am being forced into litigation.

They called 30 minutes before arrival to let us know they were on their way. They introduced themselves and went right to work. They hustled throughout the day until the job was finished . We were pleasantly surprised with them completing the move in one 8 hour workday.

McCoy's took the work, arrived on time with a bigger truck than necessary (unlike the first company who showed up with an under-sized truck) moved EVERYTHING demonstrating their knowledge of how to safely pack the truck. Finished in less time than expected and charged less. Should have hired these guys FIRST.

The price for the work done was excellent. The professionalism of the mover was the best I've seen in my years of moving from state to state for employment. If needed, they will be my first call and I highly recommend this company for any size job. It took the movers 3 hours to complete the entire job.

Mr. Wood came to the rescue for me. Other companies blew me off, but he took the time to listen and understand this was a quick easy "between jobs" move. He sent his men and they took care of business. They were nice and arrived quickly. Mr. Wood cares a lot for the average person that needs help. This is super nice and rare in this business. Showed up a hour and a half late. One of the guys smelled of alcohol from the night before. They were slow.I explained all this to the owner and said they were there for 3.15 hours but he said its every 30 minutes and charged for 3.5 hours which would have been fine except I had a list of complaints but he wanted the money so bad I guess he did not take anything off the bill.

I called several moving companies, some which only do large households or weren't close enough to make it worth their while . Although one other company did email me back, McCoy's responded right away, understanding this was a small job. Because they were doing a job in Newport News, they thought it was possible to stop by my church on their way back to Virginia Beach. This was today, a Friday after 3pm when traffic could have been very challenging. The owner and the drivers were prompt, coming from their job just in time to pick up the items before the sale closed for the day at my church. The three gentleman were just that, gentleman, and quickly loaded up the two wing chairs and the child sized table and chair set. Most other companies had minimums of over $250 to make it worth their while and were too busy to help me. If McCoy's Moving and Hauling had not come through, I would have had to spend another entire day trying to get help from other companies or friends. The rummage sale deadline to pick up large items is tomorrow, so I am very grateful to have my furniture in the house. I also noticed they were safe drivers as well. Traffic had just begun to get thick on Granby Street, with hold ups to get onto the interstate. They carefully maneuvered into the right lane and I followed them to the house. I would not hesitate to recommend AAA McCoy moving and Hauling, especially because they worked in my request on the way home from other, larger jobs and did not take advantage of me. We discussed what we thought was fair and they didn't mind doing a smaller job when they could have chosen, like the other companies, to decline to help me.

I moved from one apartment to the next. They are excellent movers. I would recommend them to anyone. It was excellent price and service.

The cost was well within the range of the estimate they gave us. All of the people working were very professional and friendly. Nothing was broken or damaged. I highly recommend them.

Although I was not finished packing when they arrived, the moving guys were very patient and professional. I kept putting things in bags while they were dismantling the furniture. And, I kept adding things to the moving pile. They did not mind at all. They were punctual. And, you could tell that they were experienced movers. They dismantled the furniture with ease. When they loaded my furniture and belongings on the moving truck, they handled everything as if it belonged to them. I would definitely use them again.

These guys were great, every time. Exceptionally reasonable prices, great service from both the office and the moving crews. Always on time, always courteous and dedicated to customer satisfaction, and always cautious with our belongings. They kept the house clean and cleaned up after themselves. Never a problem, never rushed. They've earned several referrals from us and will always be our choice for in-town moves.

This company was very irresponsible. They were late coming to our home to do the move. They were very careless packing our stuff and ended up damaging a lot of pieces. They were not very responsible or professional at all. We would not recommend them to anyone or use them again.
