From my 1st contact with Steve in March through Angies List to completion of the project, I found Steve to be very professional,courteous and dependable. He immediately got back to me and scheduled a time to meet and see what the project would entail. He walked me through the property pointing out areas that would need to be addressed and explaining in detail how that would happen. As soon as I accepted his proposal, he was ready to get started but unfortunately I had some things come up that required I delay the start until late August. Steve contacted me in August, set up a date to start and answered all my questions, Steve and his team showed up on time, and immediately got to work. I was impressed with all of them. They really stayed on task, were all very courteous and got the job done. My previously swampy yard looks fantastic (and mosquito free)! I would highly recommend Steve and his team and plan to have him back for future landscaping needs.

They did a great job, he's always professional and kind.

A-1 is a perfect name for this company. Steve and the guys working with him were on time, professional and did great work. I thought his price was fair and am looking forward to the rest of the job being finished (killing my grass which is mainly weeds and replanting grass as soon as the weather cools off a bit).

I contacted 5 companies and less than half of them responded. 2 companies came out and inspected the property while I was at work, which was convenient, but they just emailed me the estimates, which were not very detailed at all. They did not follow up with a phone call to explain what work needed to be done. Steve, the owner of A1 Lawn and Landscaping contacted me after I reached out to him on his website. He scheduled a time to meet with me the same day and his timing was prompt. He was extremely professional and pleasant to deal with. He listened to my concerns and after scoping out the property, he offered his suggestions and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done, leaving any questions that I had answered. I told him that I had to think about the estimate and would get back to him. He didn't say anything negative about the other companies at all. He left it up to me to make the decision. His estimate was a bit more, however, after looking at the quotes that the other companies provided, they weren't going to do nearly as much work as Steve was. One of the companies estimated 3900 to do 1 speed basin, and a pop-up emitter. Steve explained the implications of a pop-up getting clogged and why drilling a hole in the concrete and running a pipe all way to the street would be much better. I called him that evening and he scheduled to start work later on that week. I would never have thought that A1 has been in business for as long as they have been because the interaction that I had with Steve was just amazing, he is very knowledgeable in his trade, he communicated to me about all work that needed to be done, his work ethics were beyond phenomenal, his leadership skills reflected on not only him, but his crew. You can just tell that his crew respects him and his work.

For years our back yard had been plagued with poor drainage and standing water. Winters were especially bad.Our dog constantly tracked in mud after we let her out. Grass grew in only a few clumps and weeds and bare spots covered the rest. We finally put a make- over out to bid and we chose Mr. Nassan to do the work. He provided enthusiastic references who praised his work. We are very glad we chose A-1 . From the beginning Mr. Nassan impressed with his professionalism and honesty. He made clear that he was interested not only in doing the job, but doing it right. As the work proceeded he suggested some changes to the original proposal, all of which worked well. He and his crew were diligent and careful. They left the work site spotless when they finished in mid June. It has been almost two weeks since they finished, and I must say that our back yard has been transformed. During that time we have had two downpours and the drainage was swift and complete. The grass is greening up nicely and the yard has taken on a much nicer appearance in every way. No more muddy dog prints on our carpet, either. I would definitely hire Mr. Nassan again , and I recommend him without reservation.

This job was an excellent experience. Hysam came out for an estimate at the agreed upon time. We discussed what I wanted and he designed a plan for me. He and his crew arrived on time and were completely professional throughout the project. The patio looks great. I would also like to add that in addition to the great job, they performed a thorough clean up. I highly recommend them.

I was in the midst of getting a new fence installed and the installers busted through my irrigation line in at least 5 areas. I frantically called at least 15 irrigation companies but being a Friday at 3PM either none answered or they could not come out for a week. Steve, from A-1 Landscape, not only answered but came out on Saturday AND Sunday to fix the lines. This was above and beyond in my opinion. I was ecstatic because the fence people could resume come Monday. Side note - Steve himself came out and did the work with his crew on all occasions. Steve and his crew also leveled an area of approx. 140 feet from where trees and shrubs were removed. His team didn't cut corners and did a really good job. I am really impressed with the work ethic of Steve and his entire team. I also felt like Steve was a mentor to his team and treated them with respect. Most of the team seemed young, but knowledgeable, and Steve had a strong peer/mentor relationship with them. You don't see that a lot. I look forward to using A-1 in the future because I know it will be quality work.

They said it would take 2 days. But they sent an extra crew and they did everything in one day. They were great.

It all went great Steve called me as soon as I had called me and he came out right away we talked over what I need done and he also suggested a few things. His crew was very hard workers Steve was very professional and his price was very reasonable I would surely recommend him to others .

Outstanding work was done. We feel more confident now that the border between our front lawn and the street will be less used for construction site parking; the boulders really match the river stone fascia of the house; and the brick walkway is now stable and returned to its former attractiveness. We've always been very impressed with Mr. Nassan's crew, their professionalism, the quality of the work they do, and how quickly they get work done. Neighbors are all remarking how nice the landscaping and house look. We're very pleased with the work that has been done and would use A-1. We've got photos of the excellent work done but can't figure out how to load them into this review. If anyone would like the photos we can send them to you if you contact us.

Steve and his crew arrived on time and set to work immediately. They had to bring a small piece of equipment like a tiny bulldozer to get the giant sea grass out. They cleaned out, trimmed, replanted, cleaned up and made our beds look fabulous. They are meticulous in design and cleanup. Steve's price is a little high, but he does quality work and I have confidence in him. Also, the price included a good sized load of small rocks that match the large river rocks in our beds.

I found Steve, the owner, to be very professional. We met, discussed the scope of the work I wanted, he offered suggestions and set up a time for the services to be done. He is a hands on provider, the work was done over two days, he kept in constant contact and after each phase cleaned up spotlessly around the work area. I was very impressed and would absolutely recommend and use him again personally for any future landscape needs.

Steve was great! He and his coworker were on time to do the job, not only did he fill in the hole left by the pool but also had him level out and fill in other parts of our yard. He was thorough, professional and we do highly recommend him.

He quickly designed a plan, chose beautiful plants, replanted my perennials, sodded the yard, etc. He did a great job and got the work done efficiently. He was willing to answer questions and make changes at the last minute. Steve also followed up and went by the house to check on the lawn and to fertilize afterwards. I highly recommend this service provider. They did a wonderful job!

Steve was very prompt in returning my call. In fact he did the first estimate on a Sunday morning which was convenient to me. He listened to all my requests and then took about 30 minutes and returned with an estimate. I took about a week to decide then called him back to add to the estimate for additional items. Steve was very attentive and professional at all times. I'm glad I decided to have Steve do the job

Steve was very prompt throughout the entire process. He met with me twice to discuss the details of installing the new drain system and patio. Steve and his crew of A-1 Lawn and Landscaping were very punctual and professional. The work began and was completed on time. During the process of installing the drainage system, Steve identified an unforeseen problem with the natural grading in a small section of the backyard, and recommended a solution to correct it at minimal cost. I monitored the work throughout the entire process and was very pleased with the quality of the drain system and patio pavers. Each underlayment of materials for the patio was tamped and each paver was placed (and cut) with precision. I was very pleased with the entire job from beginning to end. I would recommend A-1 Lawn and Landscaping and would definitely use them again.

Steve returned my call promptly and came the next day. Instead of selling me on an unnecessary solution he suggested alternatives to save me money.

Outstanding service provided by Mr. Nassan and his team. He landscaped a new street edge border with edging and plants. End result is that the work he performed increased the curb appeal significantly of our home.

We hired Steve and his company to landscape our back yard it was not a huge job. But it always seemed that Steve was unorganized. While talking with Steve and trying to set a date he told me he goes on vacation at the end of June because it is to hot in the summer time to work outside. I called him the night before to see when they would show up and Steve told me not till Thursday or Friday. So when I didn't receive a call from him Wednesday I called him he said his fence guy had a bad back. So they would get it done next week. Talked to fence guy when they showed and asked him how his back was and he said he didn't have a back problem. The worst thing that happened was I told him there was a cable wire underground to be careful when the dig. they were not and they yanked my cable wire out out the ground with the bobcat I had to call COX to come out and install a new cable lucky for Steve it did cost me anything or he would have paid the bill. Bottom line I would not hire them again.

Called to inquire about their services on a Sunday evening and the owner Steve called me back within 5 minutes! I was just expecting to leave a voicemail so that he can call me first thing monday but instead he called me right back to help with my inquiry. Very impressed just starting out! Steve came onsite to give an estimate and arrived 5 minutes before scheduled time. Steve spent time listening to what I was trying to get accomplished and offered up his professional advice. I could immediately tell without a doubt that Steve knew his stuff. Very detailed oriented, clear and concise. Very Polite and professional. Wasn't sure about what type of edging stones, their colors, choice of flowers/shrubs etc. He took the time to explain plus and minuses of each type and helped me with what would look best for our house. Took time to educate me on the different types of flowers/shrubs/trees that I currently had and plus/minuses of ones I wanted to purchase. I mentioned a big drainage problem I've been having on the left side of house in the backyard and he was able to diagnose the issue immediately and went into the details of how it could be fixed and provided 2 different options. Loved the knowledge base Steve posseses and the fact that he gave me options. I decided to move forward with just the landscaping our front yard (designing beds, kill weeds, trim shrubs and trees, apply yard of topsoil, sand, install flagstone edging for all flower beds and trees). He said that he was closing down for about a month and a half for vacation and leaving country in 3 weeks but could definitely get the job done prior to leaving. Appreciate the fact that he clearly communicated the time frame and his plans for vacation. I made a payment for that same day of the estimate knowing he going to be leaving for vacation in 3 weeks and just paid for half of the total cost of the project (he takes half up front and the other half when job is done). He came back 2 days later to kill weeds and to design flower beds and said that he would be back to start the job in about 12 days. One day before Steve was planning on starting the job, it rained pretty bad and my wife and I decided that we should go ahead and move forward with getting Steve to do the service for installing a drain system for left side of house (That's where all of our drain spouts are located). I knew that it may be cutting it close telling him last minute especially with his plans for leaving the country. Steve immediately responded and said he can take care of it! He arrived the next day to start both jobs at 7am. His employees were very polite, professional, and efficient. You could tell they were all on the same page with an extreme level of attention to detail. Steve was doing the work and supervising. These guys completed 90% of both big jobs in just one day with top notch quality of work! I left the design in Steve's hands with the front yard landscaping and I'm so glad I did because it is absolutely beautiful! We LOVE IT! They left at 5pm to resume and said they would come back next morning to complete everything. An hour after they left we had a really really bad thunderstorm (our son's play set and trash cans fell over and many reports of downed trees) . I Noticed that I still had a lake in my backyard and wasn't draining as anticipated and texted Steve. He called me and found out that their employee just forgot to take off the plastic bag from the drain component (they leave plastic on while working around it to prevent dirt/debris from getting in it). I was about to take off the plastic myself then he immediately called back and said he was on his way with his kids (was coming from their soccer practice) and told me not to do it because it was raining and didn't want me to get muddy and that it was his job. I told him that wasn't necessary but he insisted and said he was on his way and would be there in 10 min! WOW! He came out in torrential downpour bad storm to do this for me even though he was already going to come back the next day to finish everything!!! Once he removed the plastics, IT DRAINED SUPER QUICK,.. COMPLETELY! First time I've ever seen my backyard with no standing water in that area especially with the bad storm we had!!! A1 Lawn and Landscaping provided me the BEST Possible customer service experience I've ever received from a residential service company by far! Steve and his team go above and beyond and truly represent what it means to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Their quality of work is top shelf and his willingness to please the customer is incredible! I'm looking forward to doing all my future landscaping/irrigation business with them no doubt. We had a big problem with standing water in our back yard after it rained , so bad that you couldn't walk through the backyard for about a week with out sinking in the soft ground . Steve came out spent 20 min walking around the back yard to to determine the proper repairs to the yard , he then came to the door explained everything and gave me the solution and a estimate . I felt very comfortable with what he said needed to be done and was sure that he was the right person for the job . A couple weeks later Steve and his crew showed up to do the work everything went well ran into a few problems but nothing bad .a month later our yard is draining great and no more standing water thanks to Steve and crew, Now all we need to do is get the grass to grow back in fall when the heat is gone form the the summer .

After a few years after a front lawn makeover it was time to rejuvenate the look. So we returned to the original landscaper who made our house the curb appeal envy day or night with the accent landscape lighting to his meticulous perfectionist designs. Again Steve performed his artistic magic. The proof is not only that our neighbors comment on how much they love our front lawn but that vehicles passing by when I am outside stop to request information on who did our landscaping. The value the work is not only measured by its beauty but by the obvious added value to the the property. The design incorporates vegetation that is not only beautiful but low in maintenance Steve also is willing to help with gardening tips and suggestion.

Steve & his crew were very professional and did a wonderful job fixing our drainage problems in our backyard. Not only was the quality of work appreciated but the communication throughout the project was too. I would absolutely recommend A-1 Lawn & Landscaping and will definitely use them again if needed. The reason for the B grade on the cost was only because we didn't get other quotes and were unfamiliar with the costs involved with having this kind of work done. Having said that, it was well worth the cost.

It began on a Sat morning when I saw flooding in the backyard. I called Steve and he came out to see the yard and give me an estimate. As we spoke the things that needed to be done were larger than I anticipated but he made sure I understood all the things he suggested and why. Since it was the first week in May my next concern was how soon he could complete the project. He said it would be done before the end of the month and it was. I can't say enough positive things about both Steve and the men who work for him. Steve himself was on the job working and supervising. While they were working there was machinery and rocks in my driveway. By the time they finished they had cleaned up so completely you would never know that 8 tons of rock had been in my driveway. I would suggest him to my friends and intend to use him in the future

My house and yard were in very bad condition since I purchased it. One corner of the backyard was overgrown with bushes, vines and small trees. Steve and his team gave me a fair price to clear it all and level the ground so I can install a shed. It turned out great. My front flower beds are huge but they were filled with old lava rocks left by the previous owner and full of overgrown plants/weeds. Steve and his team hauled all the rocks away and laid top soil throughout both flower beds. I can finally make my house look presentable! Thanks A-1!
