The team that moved my things were efficient, careful, and made the whole process 90% less stressful than it might have been. Everything went smoothly, everyone was friendly and kind, and I would contact them in a heartbeat if I ever had to move again.

I have used Friendly and Affordable Movers' services for over 10 years. I use their services to move and protect the heavy furniture that my team cannot handle. They assist with moving and protecting my clients furniture for storage as well as disassembly and reassembly. I could not ask for a better group of people to assist my team with our moving needs. This team cares about their job and takes pride in their work. The communication between the movers is most important to minimize accidents and they always send me teams that have a connection and work well together within their team as well as with my team members. The office personnel is amazing as well. They have always been flexible with scheduling. They are always attentive to detail and ready to help out when we are in a jam.

Great move showed up on time throughout the process! Was easy to schedule as well as store HHG for a few days for small fee! Employees where all very nice from start to finish! I’ve moved with the military several time and this was one of the easier moves !

This company is the BEST! I run a local Staging company who stages homes to be sold all over Hampton Roads so I have to move my inventory in and out of homes regularly. Communication with this team is 110%, office staff is accommodating, relational, and just plain sweet. Their movers are also wonderful; They take serious pride in their work and act as if they're moving their personal family items. They're VERY careful with EVERY piece, while still moving surprisingly quickly since, like with most other companies, you're paying by the hour. I've done well over a dozen+ transactions with this team and I have YEARS of underwhelming moving companies to compare them to. I've experienced it all. If you want movers who don't show up on time and are full of excuses...or movers that tell you one price and charge your credit card HUNDREDS more without approval...or a crew that just goes completely MIA, stops answering their phone and leaves you hanging mid-move...or how about a mover who shows up wreaking and high as a kite?....call someone else. Because with Friendly & Affordable you're going to get nothing but reliable, truly professional service. Crew was professional and efficient. Crew moved an extremely heavy 12 foot long table down two flights of stairs as well as glass. Table arrived in perfect condition.

Everything went great. The crews were hard working and on time. Breakables and furniture were wrapped and protected. I have used them 3 times now for moves and will use them again in the future.

It was a great experience!! After having a very BAD (horrible) experience with a previous moving company about six weeks prior to hiring “A Friendly Affordable Moving (AFAM)” company, I was pessimistic about hiring another moving company but I needed additional “moving” services since the previous moving company was too inexperienced and unprepared (literally had NO moving equipment) to complete my moving job. I HAD to hire someone else to move what remained. Reluctantly, I decided on hiring “AFAM” but I must admit the experience with “AFAM” was a pleasant surprise and delight!! The 3-man crew sent was Jay, Jacob and Kenneth. They were “friendly” as the name of the company denotes. I was greeted by Jay with the company’s initial protocol and procedures (which eased a little of my concerns at that moment). Overall, I was pleased! My “moving” services were for moving furniture and boxes/things out of a house into a 10x20 storage area that was already filled with other boxes and furniture from the previous move. I wasn’t sure if there was room left in the storage area for all the remaining stuff that was on the truck but “Jay” knew what he was doing and made it happen!!! There was extra room after everything was situated. These three guys listened—respected my “wants” and what was written on my boxes/moving bags and made it happen!! They handled the furniture with care. The previous company ruined some of my furniture, unfortunately. I highly recommend this company, this crew!!! My faith is restored but only in this company 😊 because of my “firsthand” experience with them!! Because I know I will need “moving” services again soon, I already know who to contact!!! My heart was literally made happy because of this 3-man crew—this moving company that these 3 men represent!!! This may be a 2nd review from me on this move but it’s worth it!! I am grateful to God for this moving experience!!!!

Of the 3 movers only one really knew what he was doing. The second POD was not packed efficiently and we had to fix it to get all of our stuff inside.

We moved from our former home to our new home, and made 2 stops along the way. That was a complication that had to be addressed in packing up the trucks. Another complication was 3 large sculptures that had to be carefully moved and handled. The team was very nice and also worked very hard, though they didn't get everything right: They seriously scratched the surface of a ping pong table, making it unusable, and broke the arm of one of the large sculptures. Nevertheless, considering the number of fragile objects, it was not a bad record. The office was extremely nice and receptive, and a pleasure to deal with. I would use them again, but oversee some of the more fragile packing.
