Movers were careful with our belongings and respectful to us.

They did a great job! We had a few hick ups but they dealt with them right away and did a wonderful job with it! I would use them again in a heart beat! They did a great job and very happy with them!!!!

If you are looking for a Moving Company I would definitely suggest this company . I was in the middle of a move when my husband had a heart attack . I was lost and did not know what to do, The management team came to action after hours and moved the entire house and had everything set and ready to come home to . I don't know what I would have done with out them . Thank You so much for being there for my family when we need it the most ! The best of the best !

The worst customer service I have ever received! I have never had upper management be so rude and degrading when there was a miscommunication error on their part. When receiving a quote, I was never told that the full amount was due prior to the move date. I received a call from them the day before my move asking for full payment. I was very confused and starting explains to them I was never told about this and that I could pay after the move was complete. While explaining this to management, he was very nasty towards me and activing as if I was annoying him by telling him what I was told a month ago. No apologies for the understanding and not trying to work with me. No empathy whatsoever. All he kept doing was screaming at me that this is company policy. He then went to say they can’t trust is to get payment after because they don’t trust that the credit card would go through. Well if it’s company policy, then they should have told me that when I asked for a quote and setting everything up. To top it all off, I asked for a refund for my deposit for the way I was treated and not going to use them anymore. I did receive in the email stating I will get the refund, but still no apologies for the way they acted. I don’t recommend this company to anybody. People deserve to be treated with respect and not feel so disrespected after a phone call. By far the worst customer service ever!!! I will never recommend this company to anybody who is moving.

Excellent. The crew was on time and really catered to some special requests. This is the 2nd time we’ve used them. They’re the best.

Fantastic experience. Owner personally visited to provide a quote. 3 movers arrived promptly, were professional and incredibly fast. Wrapped all of my furniture to ensure it wasn't damaged, and set up requested furniture at new place. They were patient navigating unexpected obstacles and were overall lovely to work with. I highly recommend.

This is the third time in ten years that our family has moved, and I hired Friendly and Affordable Movers every time. Good value; excellent work force- on time and courteous.

After meeting with the owner to discuss the move, things went well and I found the owner to be friendly, plus gave me a good deal. We worked out the details, and came up with a plan. A few days later, 3 guys arrived and started to pack up and mark the boxes. They were meticulous, wrapped up every single dish and cup, and put my items into huge boxes that were marked, but some of the items were mixed up from other rooms. They wrapped what they could up, placed things into huge boxes, and carried out the finished boxes and most of the bigger items. On the day of the move, there were only 2 guys, and they finished up the packing. They loaded up the truck, the owner personally loaded up one of my cars on the transport while everyone continued to finish up packing and loading. As they were about finished, they reminded me to pack up my meds because they, according to their policy, weren't supposed to touch them at all. I got sidetracked and was hurting (due to my disability), and had forgotten about it. They took it upon themselves to pack the meds up, again, were NOT supposed to do. When we arrived at my new place, that's when things went downhill. The landlord had to speak to them because of how fast they were going, they started unloading and seemed to take breaks every 10-15 minutes, some boxes that were supposed to go upstairs were placed in the "dry cellar," and upon opening some of the boxes, I noticed that my DVDs and cassettes were thrown in any which way,, instead of being neatly packed...I still haven't found some of my boxed CDs and DVDs. When I started to unpack, I found my meds and after looking through each one to make sure it was there, I realized that one of my important "pain" meds, a very well-known one, was missing. It was full, as I just got it refilled. Ironically, another well-know paid med was still there. As soon as I recognized they were gone, I e-mailed the owner, who strongly defended his movers, but he did say that he'd speak to them. Of course, they knew nothing about the missing med, and the manager called me back to verify this. So I had to go without them for many weeks. I also noticed that most of my CDs and DVDs were literally tossed into the box without any kind of organization. I still can't find my boxed CDs either. What started out as a "positive," later turned into a real nightmare. Suffice to say, I won't be calling them anymore!

After being scammed by internet movers, this company came in and saved the day! I had to fire movers the actual day of my move, which created delays for two home closings (my buyers in Va. and my own closing in Md.) I contacted Friendly and Affordable Movers on a Monday morning and explained my situation, as I had to to get loaded and out of my house ASAP. Dan, the owner, came that very afternoon, told me he could have my things loaded on his truck the very next morning (Tuesday) and gave me a reasonable quote (especially considering they were moving me right away during the busiest moving season of the year!) The movers arrived the next day on time (actually a bit early!) and proceeded to load my household items. The movers were pleasant, professional, gracious and competent. Each one shook my hand when they left. They delivered my load in Baltimore on Thursday and once again arrived right on time (actually a bit earlier!). Once again, the truck was unloaded into my new home competently. The movers were once again professional and pleasant. I thank all of them for a job well done!!

Excellent, very cordial and polite staff, very accommodating, they worked from 8:00 until 4:00 pm on a very hot day and I never heard any of them complain, they just stayed steady at work. Excellent company, I would definitely refer and/or use them again.

Over charged me for the amount of time that they stayed. I called to see if an item was left in their moving truck and they would not return my calls.

It went horrible..They were an whole day late.No regards to the fact ppl have lives and no respect of time..Put up two bedrooms set which beds are wobbly.. And the owner is an disgrace to Customer Service

The moving crew arrived early and finished early. They were very professional and courteous. They disassembled furntire hat needed to be disassembled and reassembled it at the new location without causing any damges. I will definitely hire them again for my next move.

The move went very well indeed. Friendly and Affordable Movers are just that --- friendly and affordable. More than that, they performed the move in a professional manner at a fixed price --- they were on time, carefully packed kitchenware and wardrobe boxes, were careful not to damage any of my property, and were responsive in placing furniture where I directed. In short, I would highly recommend this moving company to friends and relatives alike who are in need of a mover.

Great company to work with! We needed to move half of our house in March before putting it on the market and the balance a week or so ago prior to closing. Dan, the owner, gave us a very reasonable estimate and both moves went very smoothly. All three team members were fast, efficient and careful on both the pack out and in on each move - and they hustle!!! Highly recommend.

We were all very stressed about combining our two households and moving them both into a new house with an in-law-suite. When we spoke to Dan (the owner) and told him our concerns he listened to what we had to say and offered great info on what to expect in such a big move. All the workers during the move were very supportive and exhibited great patients while we tried to figure out where to move heavy furniture and boxes. Chris and Jay were especially helpful during the whole process and made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted it and that we were happy before they left. We have been so blessed to have had a team that was willing to work with us and show genuine care for our belongings. Everything went perfectly from start to finish. This was a great moving experience; and we are experienced retired military with 10+ moves under our belt. I called to arrange a move for my 85 year old Dad into assisted living. Dan, the owner, was prompt and professional. Dan gave us a quote and the quote was accurate and did not change. The movers that arrived were polite, super efficient and got all of Dad's things moved with no breakage. Highly recommend!

Price reasonable. Very responsive to a fluctuating schedule. My only complaint is the professionalism of the three person team. There was much internal bickering that slowed down the process on a busy day that wasted my time. Each of the persons at times disappeared to the truck. I had to provide protective tools, wrapping tape and protective covering for wood furniture as the team did not have adequate supplies. I did have plenty of supplies as I was moving the majority of my personal belongings. A couple small dings to my walls inside the house but not significant. The ding usually happened because the team argued in the middle of doing a large item carry vice agreeing how to maneuver the large item in a tight space ahead of time.
