Glen put my roof on in 2017, the best quality and price. He removed 2 old roofs before installing new, & made sure no stray nails were on ground, taking great pride in his work. Years later, I had him give an estimate on my screened in porch this morning. Impeccable reputation, follows up with his customer long after the sale, he is the first name in my little 'homeowner black book' of reputable contractors I always depend on.

Glenn and the Shenandoah Home Improvements team that replaced our roof were wonderful! The price was way below the competitors in the area for the same product! Glenn was professional, courteous, and called/follow-up as per our discussion. The roof was completed ahead of schedule and looks wonderful. The warranty is great and I feel confident if there was an issue with the roof, Glenn would make it right. We will definitely be calling them again for additional work we may need! I highly recommend them!

Glenn was very professional and friendly when he came to give me an estimate. When the time came for me to set the appointment, he was able to accommodate me in a timely manner. It’s been a couple of weeks and we have had some bad rainstorms and I haven’t had an issue with leaks. My roof looks amazing and would recommend this company to someone that is looking for roof repair or replacement.

The crew performed the work quite professionally with a very minimum of disruption to our lives. After completing the installation on time, they very thoroughly cleaned up all of the debris.

I own an old farm house: 1600+ square feet, steep A-frame roof, with a 40-foot chimney. Water was leaking into interior walls, so I called Shenandoah Home Improvements for a quote. Mr. Glenn Lilly responded rapidly and came to my home to show me their process and color choices, he was thoroughly educational and provided materials to demonstrate the difference between their techniques (ex. hand-nailing shingles versus using a nail gun) and how these would lead to longer roof life and better results in the long term. The work itself was completed rapidly using his recommended Owens-Corning architectural shingles in Chateau Green. His workmen were very clean and professional and I was very satisfied with the results. Even though they ended up having to do much more work than originally anticipated (they discovered and replaced over 300 feet of rotten wood under the existing roof), there was no sacrifice in terms of quality or speed. A few months after the roof was finished, I noticed a single tile buckling slightly and let Mr. Lilly know, within 2 days he had a guy out to repair it with no additional charge or problems whatsoever. I literally just came home and found it had been fixed, can't say I've ever had that experience with home repair professional before and it was a very pleasant surprise. In short, I would work with Shenandoah Home Improvements again if I ever have need of more roofing work and feel confident doing so.

Excellent They were timely and very clean. The job was done in two 1/2 days. Roof looks fantastic. Love the color too. We were given options and some houses to look at before we made a selection.

Glenn Lilly of Shenandoah Home Improvements came to my home, inspected my roof, showed me the materials he used & explained his crew & work ethic. He provided me with an estimate to replace my roof that was lower than anyone else's, using the same roofing material, full insurance coverage (for the company & workers) and he was easy to deal with. The crew showed up on time, when promised; cleanup was a continual process (no nails or scraps left laying around) and the job was completed without delay or need to call back. Shenandoah sub-contracted replacement of the gutters & downspouts. That, too, was completed satisfactorily & in a timely manner. Overall, what Shenandoah did for me was half again as much as I'd initially requested bids on, and cost me less than the other bids obtained for the roof alone. I'd recommend them anytime to anyone!!

It went very well. This is the 2nd home we have owned that Glenn has put a roof on. He did what he said he would do, and for the price agreed on. In both cases the cost was very competitive compared to other quotes I received. Also, they cleaned up thoroughly and hauled off the trash and old shingles as agreed. If we ever need another roof, Glenn will be the first one we call.

The gentlemen from Shenandoah Home Improvement were prompt on their arrival time to my home. They greeted me and began their work. The crew was a very hard working team. Over the years Shenandoah Home Improvements has put a new roof on our house and they have also replaced all our windows. Everything has always been prompt and professional. Their prices were very fair. The workers worked hard and were polite and courteous. Everyone has been great to deal with. Since then my Mother and both sisters have hired Shenandoah for roof replacements and vinyl siding. I am glad that we went with them and would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a roof replacement or replacing their windows.

I was given a great estimate and Glen and his crew showed up on time and ready to work. The job was finished on time and was finished just as promised.

97% of Roof is fine. Glen promised that if roof did not lay flat due to cold weather to come back and fix. Sent his crew chief , who stayed yes we need to fix that spot (about a 4x4 section) and we will be back tomorrow.... Tomorrow came and went as did missed appointments by Glenn , who finally simply said that is a roof defect. Strange how it wasn't there before ,,, VERY disappointed in Glenn. I would have worked with him if he had asked for help in repairing his error. I would have even considered paying more. I understand even the best intentions go astray ... but how you man up says more about the company then anything. Having to chase him says everything.

Excellent! This is the second roof Glenn has done for my family. (1st was my home and we were so pleased, when my mother needed a new roof, we went right back to Glenn and his team.) Both times we were completely satisfied. Glenn was great in the initial consultation, he brought samples and made helpful suggestions as to color and style to compliment the home. His crew has been with him many years, they were on time and worked very efficiently. (One neighbor even commented as to how efficient Glenn's team was versus another house in the neighborhood that had also had a new roof installed by different roofer. Glenn was 2 days, the other house was 8 days) The crew was polite and very professional. They cleaned up very very well and even swept the yard with a magnet just to make sure. (Important to us as we have young children that play in the yard quite a bit.) Other things that stick out about the way Shenandoah Home Improvements installs a roof is attention to detail! After replacing all ports and fans on the roof they take the time to paint match them to the roof, which just makes the finish SO nice. Its a small thing, but a great detail. The crew also took the time to mix the packs of shingles to give it a completely uniform appearance with the architectural shingles. Very important as the manufacture's batches can have slight variance during production. Finally Glenn offers a tremendous value! The roof was installed correctly and by a certified roofing contractor with all of the warranty you would expect in a modern roof. You would be hard pressed to find a contractor that could offer the assurance that Glenn does with all of the extras at a better price point. (New roof fan, he added ridge vent, all new ports with the color match.) I appreciate Glenn and his employee's very much and fully intend to use them again in the future!

This company responded to our request for an estimate immediately and was available throughout the process of having our new roof installed. We were able to get the quality that we hoped for for a price that was within the expected range. They did a great job and were very professional. Our next big project is window replacement and we plan to engage Shenandoah Home Improvements when we are ready to begin. Thanks Glenn, it was a pleasure doing business with you!

Mr. Lilly was very prompt with the initial contact and estimate. He stayed in touch throughout the job as the weather was hit and miss for days. Once the weather cleared the crew went at it! They cleaned up every day, worked very diligently, and did an excellent job. Very thorough, no shortcuts! Roger took the time to explain everything to me that they were doing. We were very pleased with the finished product. It looks great!

The crew showed up on time as scheduled and in two days the job was done. A lot more wood needed replacing than expected and we received a bit of 'sticker shock' (Shenandoah's lineal foot board price is higher than what the other companies quoted), but better to replace all iffy wood than receive unpleasant surprises down the road. The crew chief, Roger, quite helpful and patient explaining things, the whys and hows to us. The crew quite conscientious about picking up all the nails from the ground, double-checking it more than once. We recommend Shenandoah, they did a very good job.

It took a few days to get them here for estimate and suggestions for replacement of my roof. Then weather delayed starting date several times. Once they were able to start the crew of 4 went right to work. I have a 100-year old house and understandably there was rotted wood in areas which needed replacement even before the new roof could be installed. It took a total of 2-1/2 days to complete the job. I am very pleased with the new roof. My house looks wonderful. The owner kept me up to date on the progress of the job and any problems noted by the workers which needed repair. They took care of it all. They used quality shingles and hand nail all shingles, which is a better installation method than nail guns used by other contractors. This method is best for holding up to wind damage, and my house seems to be prone to heavy wind damage each year. I feel I can know my new roof will hold up against the heavy winds we experience here in the Roanoke valley. The price was a bit high but worth it for the quality of service and materials.
